    Love your channel. I bake only for my own enjoyment. Cookie decorating was always something I wanted to try. I have been doing only at Christmas time for the past 4 years. I have really improved. Need to do more during the year. Thank you for making it less scary to try.

      Thank you so much!! I'm glad your finding it less scary, it can be a bit overwhelming at first, but the more you do it the easier it gets 🥰

    Thank you for another great video! I stumbled across your page a few years ago when I first got into cookies. Your cookie and icing recipes were the first ones I tried and they were such a hit that I’ve just stuck with them. I really appreciate all your tutorials.

    Love your videos! Thank you for the great tutorials. I’m having an issue with cratering when I piped eyes onto cookies that I thought had crusted over. How long should they dry before putting on a new layer like eyes? Thank you!

      There's a few things I try to do to prevent craters! The first is to try and pipe your 2nd layer when your first layer is just crusted over, you don't want it to be fully dried. Another method is to poke holes in the base layer where you would be doing the piping, this helps as well. If you can, do eyes with your outline consistency, if you can't because it's too thick or too big of an area, then do a squiggle of outline consistency and then flood over top! And lastly, dry in front of a fan or if you have a dehydrator, you can use this as well in very low heat setting!! Hope this helps. I talk a lot about craters in my videos designs as well!

    Do you prefer the AAXA P8 or the Kodak Luma more? I’m leaning towards the Luma just because of the brand, but I know the AAXA Pico is highly recommended, but that’s out of stock everywhere and no signs of coming back.

      They are both great, the Luma feels a little more better quality (like the focus button is smoother than the pico) but the images for me are both great. You can't flip the picture with the Luma, so you have to flip it o your phone or laptop to have it show right on the cookie and not upside down, where the pico + you can. Just make sure you get the wireless version whichever you chose (they both have a few versions out). But either way you can't go wrong, both great projectors!

    These look amazing, but what if i don't have a fan to help it dry? How long does it take for the flooded icing to dry?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  3 месяца назад +1

      It takes about an hour or so for it to dry enough to pipe the next layer. If you have a bit thicker icing doesn't take as long and thinner icing takes a bit longer. You just need the icing to form a crust so when you pipe another layer, it doesn't sink in. If your place is humid, it might take longer too.

    How in advance can you bake, decorate and package cookies for a party?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 месяца назад

      I usually start about 5-6 days before the event. If you want to start earlier, you can and then I would freeze them to keep them fresh. K try not to have them done more than 7 days or I freeze them to keep them extra fresh!
