911 calls rarely happen when they're convenient. I got one last winter when I was waiting for my food inside, I had already ordered and paid. I got lucky though, as I was about to leave, an employee sprinted out with the bag of food and handed it to me before we took off. That's customer service.

Or you might have different staff there, or they may not remember/care, or the restaurant could be closed before you get a chance to go back. You never know.

Sadly it varies by state. New Jersey, they're only permitted to fit a front facing flashing beacon, no siren, they must follow all road traffic laws, but other vehicles must yield to them. You're not required to under go any training. But in Florida you can have the full monty, lights, sirens; but you must be trained and qualified. Unfortunately with such a lack of standardisation, loads of states essentially permit have a go heroes to buy every single light and siren they can off amazon, and run Code 3 all over the place.

Isaiah Heid - when you a volunteer Ff like this chap, you don't HAVE to go when the tones drop. He's not career paid so he's not required to go when the tones drop.
Yes..my Dad is a volunteer and he doesn't make every run..but some volunteers choose to do that..depending on their life style...plus Lebanon Junction is a full volunteer fire company...so they rely on their volunteers to make calls ans get the rig. There is no need to disrespect this guy..he's a firefighter and has done a gratitude for the state of KY..God have mercy on you if you were ever in an emergency and none of the volunteers got the truck and showed up!
+Outdoor Mississippi..it doesn't matter, when that first tone drops, it's a signal that YOUR fire co is being sent to respond and it's a firefighters first instinct to go no matter what the call is..yes they will listen to the information but you can always call HQ or talk to the nearby rigs responding on the radio if you couldn't hear the information
