    Hi All! Thank you for the great feedback (both positive and negative, but always constructive!). Looks like you enjoyed this. I’ve been receiving tons of DMs to ask for lessons, which i’ll try to respond ASAP. But i unfortunately don’t have time to help everyone right now. Make sure to check your feed as i’ll be making a poll soon to figure out how to best help you all. :)

    This was actually way more helpful than i thought, because hard tech can be difficult to apply in a real match. This instead gave practical advice on how to work on habits and neutral, which can be more universally helpful under pressure. Great video!

    This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I have trouble applying abstract concepts. A breakdown of a game from start to finish really tied everything together. Thank you!

    This series is great, and you really learn alot from watching this. By analyzing other (Young) Links, you get to cover a ton of different playstyles who each has their own bad habits. In the end, we get to learn about good and bad habits from both lesser experienced players as well as players at a higher level. Keep this up!

    This is a fantastic video. Please keep making these! I'm trying to main young link at the moment and it's a bit of a struggle as I'm used to more heavy hitters so vids like these really help. I really liked the note about throwing out projectiles but not really creating pressure at the ledge, I'm going to be more mindful after seeing that.
    One of my issues at the moment is I find myself losing trades in the air.
    Anyhow, keep up the great work!

    • @LxZLink
      @LxZLink  4 года назад +1

      trading is one of young link’s weaknesses! Not quite your fault. In matchups where you trade a lot you may have to play with your more ranged tools (zair, rang, fire arrow)

    I think match analyses are a good idea. A small recommendation, through - if your goal is to inform, keep in mind to be extra clear with your commentary. for example, you pointed out that turnaround up-B is a faster oos option than non-turnaround. You and I both know that this is because the hitbox starts in front of link and only reaches behind him slightly later, but I think that's the kind of thing many people might not be able to understand without a quick explanation. Just saying something like "Doing a turnaround up-B here would have been a faster option due to the moves hitboxes" or something like that. Another small suggestion is that if you notice bad behaviors in someone match 1, maybe consider switching characters during match 2 to a character who will really help highlight the opponent's areas of weakness. This is a broad suggestion, though, especially if you're much more comfortable with a small number of characters. Great vid!

    I found the black background for the text to be really distracting as I was trying to look at what was going on in the freeze frame. I wonder how the text would look with white text and a thick(ish) black outline instead like a lot of the notes displayed for whiffs (or a more transparent black background). That said - I did appreciate the pausing to give some time to read your notes.
    Great content! I like seeing game analysis - it helps me to learn what I should be thinking of in neutral.
