Hi All! Thank you for the great feedback (both positive and negative, but always constructive!). Looks like you enjoyed this. I’ve been receiving tons of DMs to ask for lessons, which i’ll try to respond ASAP. But i unfortunately don’t have time to help everyone right now. Make sure to check your feed as i’ll be making a poll soon to figure out how to best help you all. :)
I use Link, but some of the feedback you give him/her could be helping me too because i panic a lot and i stressed too much because i thing my way of playing is very bad jaja. Great vid.
Try to use music without lyrics to help viewers focus on the captions/subtitles.
How much are lessons and what do they entail? I main Yink too
I wanna face u with my yink but im not trying to lessons on how to play just need a improvement just criticize my playstyle is all im asking and if its good or naw pls!!!
Bro the fact that you play with fans like this and dont ask for money is amazing, your one of the only smashtubers who doesnt charge for stuff like this, you have my utmost respect
This was actually way more helpful than i thought, because hard tech can be difficult to apply in a real match. This instead gave practical advice on how to work on habits and neutral, which can be more universally helpful under pressure. Great video!
Thank you:) glad you enjoyed!
This is actually an amazing video series, im definitely looking forward to watching more of these, and hopefully, one day be apart of one myself. I can see myself improving alot from this
Thank you:) glad you found it useful!
@@LxZLink How do I apply to be a part of this in the future?
This was so amazing, you definitely need to do more of these, especially since you said you could make them fairly easily :)
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I have trouble applying abstract concepts. A breakdown of a game from start to finish really tied everything together. Thank you!
I like the thorough feedback. It’s pretty hard to know what we do wrong so a series like this helps to find what is done wrong, together with where to start.
This is very helpful! although maybe less “don’t do that” but instead “do this instead” more :) very awesome tho! Subscribed!
This is more useful to me than most videos. Seeing an actual match and breakdown puts things in great view. Thank you !
This video is incredibly useful, especially as a young link main. We need more of these types of videos!
You helped so much by playing this matches, and thank you very much for your time and effort, this week is the tournament I told u about, and now I feel more confident with my YL gameplay, thanks for your videos, continue growing this channel that has helped me so much!🙌🏻
These videos definitely help. Even if they are not top level, you analyze them as if it is, keep it up! Can't wait to see more!
Awesome video, man! Young Link used to be one of my side characters, but I've started playing him more and more the past few months. I think watching this will help out with some of my bad habits as well!
This series is great, and you really learn alot from watching this. By analyzing other (Young) Links, you get to cover a ton of different playstyles who each has their own bad habits. In the end, we get to learn about good and bad habits from both lesser experienced players as well as players at a higher level. Keep this up!
Amazing vid and one of the best tools ANYWHERE online that I've found to help improve my young link play. Subscribed and I hope to see more young link videos like this.
Great job! This is one of the most helpful videos I've seen for Smash Ultimate. I main Link not young Link, but to be honest I think I would find this useful regardless of what character I played. Looking forward to more!
Holy cow i normally don’t comment on videos, but this video was super helpful even for a non Young Link player. Finding out what counts as a habit and what you should do in certain situations, you should do more content like this! Subscribed :)
My g o d this is *so* indepth, I was not expecting such insane content in my recommended. If this is the bar for quality on this channel consider me a resident!
Welcome on board :))
I love these videos. Would love to see more match analysis in this style!
(By the way maybe in the future in addition to saying what not to do, add what would be a better option as well?)
This is such a great concept! I've been looking for tips like this for my own improvement, so being able to read your input as the match is happening was extremely helpful! Subbed and looking forward to more!
As a YL main-- AWESOME CONTENT, KEEP IT COMING!!!
As a smash player in general-- AWESOME CONTENT, GIVE US MOAR!!!
Love these videos, super helpful and definitely see some universal themes that I can learn from them. Thank u! 🙏
This was a good way of breaking down concepts and exposing bad habits as a BOTW and YL main I enjoyed this a lot. Although I don't utilize projectiles as much as I should.
This is a fantastic video. Please keep making these! I'm trying to main young link at the moment and it's a bit of a struggle as I'm used to more heavy hitters so vids like these really help. I really liked the note about throwing out projectiles but not really creating pressure at the ledge, I'm going to be more mindful after seeing that.
One of my issues at the moment is I find myself losing trades in the air.
Anyhow, keep up the great work!
trading is one of young link’s weaknesses! Not quite your fault. In matchups where you trade a lot you may have to play with your more ranged tools (zair, rang, fire arrow)
Great video, as a yink main myself I’m going to look this over a lot I could see errors in my okay just from you pointing out small things in their play. Thanks a lot love the channel and love young link!!
Thanks to you for your comment!
Nice video man!,This is really helpful for people who main YL to give them a idea to be better at using him. Do you plan on making a How To Play series?,Like teaching some tips or play styles?.
I play ike and young link so this video was very helpful. It showed me some bad habits to avoid and things to keep note of in real matches
This is very awesome, analysis videos are my favorite since I am newer to smash as well! Please keep making them :)
Any character is cool since I like everyone you use apparently lol
This kind of content is exactly what I want
This is great!! A lot of this applies to Link as well!! Keep up the good content! (consider leaving the text just a bit longer for those of us who are slow af readers lol)
No one really punishes those things in online quickplay, thus creating bad habits. This video is very helpful to improve for competitive play regardless if you play Young Link or not.
I would love to see more of this.
It is helpful analysis as you do point out things that I do not see myself. I tried checking my own replays, thou I find it very difficult to spot my own errors... Grrr.
Great video!
You should check out Glutonny’s channel. He does analysis of things that regular players would never see. Really great content!
Thanks for your comment:)
loved it! hope to see 1 featuring link soon.
Love this. Really cool format for a lesson video. Really easy to watch and to learn from it. You should definitely start a paid tutoring thing if you haven't already!
What a great video! I love the analisys!!
Great video Lou, you do a really good job with analysis
Thank you seedot!!! Miss you!
Very helpful! Please more of that💪💪
So good, i've seen you do this on twitch. Is a great way to do content
I feel much more instructed ! This is great !
I think match analyses are a good idea. A small recommendation, through - if your goal is to inform, keep in mind to be extra clear with your commentary. for example, you pointed out that turnaround up-B is a faster oos option than non-turnaround. You and I both know that this is because the hitbox starts in front of link and only reaches behind him slightly later, but I think that's the kind of thing many people might not be able to understand without a quick explanation. Just saying something like "Doing a turnaround up-B here would have been a faster option due to the moves hitboxes" or something like that. Another small suggestion is that if you notice bad behaviors in someone match 1, maybe consider switching characters during match 2 to a character who will really help highlight the opponent's areas of weakness. This is a broad suggestion, though, especially if you're much more comfortable with a small number of characters. Great vid!
That’s great feedback, thanks!!! I actually played quite a few chars against him. I just picked 2 fairly random games out of the bunch.
This was pretty useful to see. Helped expose a lot of my own bad habits!
Enjoyed the content, very informative!
Wow. This is really well done.
I found the black background for the text to be really distracting as I was trying to look at what was going on in the freeze frame. I wonder how the text would look with white text and a thick(ish) black outline instead like a lot of the notes displayed for whiffs (or a more transparent black background). That said - I did appreciate the pausing to give some time to read your notes.
Great content! I like seeing game analysis - it helps me to learn what I should be thinking of in neutral.
Awh:( sorry to hear that. I’ll make sure to adapt if i do this again!
@@LxZLink No worries - keep the up great work!
Love this type of content
Fantastic video I learned from it and I play Brawlhalla more than smash. Thanks for the info
Edit: music was top notch as well. Excellent picks and two new songs for me to listen to
Thank you:) i care a lot about music choice so that means a lot!!!
Damn. I’d love one of these sessions for my Toon Link
These videos are amazing! I enjoy these a lot, i wish i could get a tutor sesh! But im a little on the casual side. still a Link main since 64 though!
Nothing wrong with being a casual:) thanks for your comment!
Still helpful 3 years later
Excellent video, I rock me some Young Link aswell! I can try & learn from this🤘🏻😜✨🎶🔥 Have a great day everyone!
Have a great day too!
@@LxZLink Thank you 🙌🏻☺️✨🎶
So how do I go about getting one of these sessions with you? I main Link. I'm pretty good but want to make myself more consistent. Example, I can beat high ranked players in my state in tourney but I fail to reach top 8 at tourneys a lot because I just lose to random people along the way. Any help would be great!
Yaya good stuff!
Clock town
This is awesome content , the match analysis is awesome ,maybe some high level ones if you can ? :3
Also , Wona ago against my Link ? Been studying your videos alot :3
I really find it helpful, even more still havin 5 million GSP with link...
I love these kinds of videos, I was wondering if maybe we could play sometime so I can learn something with link!
Mate this is very good and helpful, do it for Link too if someone ask you and ofc if you are okay with that :D
I liked a lot the video, but i'm a link main i would enjoy a similar kind of video with link, ti understand al the mistakes i probably making, i hope you read this and make advices to all links main
This video was amazingly helpful and I wasnt even the person being analyzed. Love these. Would also love to get some one on one help with my characters. If your down
This look wonderful for me
good vid
ME NEXT ME NEXT ME NEXT!
In the second section where you counted his 7 whiffs, you whiffed 5 times as Ike yourself :P
Ngl i kinda want to try this
Awesome
Wow, i wish i'd play against you and have a video made about my failures! :D
how do i get to play against you?
EDIT: i play Link. i don't say i main Link cause i don't play any other characters. i just can't feel them. been playing Link since the Nintendo 64 :)
Nice
Want more vids like this piz
goddamn, where i find a teacher like this, where is the line for me to get into????/ T>T
Esa forma de jugar de ese young link es mas actuada
oh god never put a song with lyrics if you have text on the screen, it's impossible to follow without muting the video D:
Oops:( won’t do it again! Thanks for your feedback! Will do better next time. :)
@@LxZLink Personally I like the music with lyrics but thats just me
Hello
Hi :)
@@LxZLink Do you remember me since we fighted in smash with "guy cult 3"?
Sally Green yes!
Hey I love this content a lot. I am a tink/joker main and got a lot of good insight for general gameplay watching this. I don't know how often you read the comments but I would love to play a set with you as well. My username is spineywoodchuc1 on Twitter so if your interested hmu
First ? Idk
Like I don’t understand , why are people who can’t even make it in top 32 with a character they don’t even main make a video on how to use the character? That contradicts any bit of my brain cells lol.
You can have an amazing grasp on how a character that works without being the best player with that character. There are more than 32 good players at this game. Any player who has more experience than you with a character can help you understand how to play them better.
because knowledge and skills are not directly tied, like how in sports you can have incredible coaches who are can't play the game and athletes who can't explain how they do it.
Well then seems like you both bitch slapped me lol . Thank you and I will change my thoughts or research more on the topic.
