Great video, also damn that link was cool, I mean those were some of the finest edgeguards I've seen, all the more impressive considering he was tilted by his opponent. Maybe LxZ could put some of his games so we could get more real matches to draw inspiration from.
Great analysis, since this link looks almost exactly like mine I’ll try to apply everything you said in the video as I was the one concerned. Keep it up!
Seeing actual gamplay is really helpful. Showing Combos on Training Mode is one thing. Actually applying this stuff and learning what to look for and how to react while fighting a player is a whole other level. I can't wait to see more!!
Great video. I would also suggest learning the jumpless bomb recoveries too. If you save your jump you can further mixup your landing to get back onstage
Yo I just got to say ur guides on link have really helped me, I was so ready to play a different character but ur videos inspired me to keep playing him and learn the character fully... thanks a lot man and hope to see more link guides
As a Link main for years, I just want to say that I’ve been studying your videos to an immense degree lately. Thank you tons for your tips, I’m trying to cut out my bad habits, but I feel stagnant. These videos are incredibly inspiring.
This is very nice, the whole 'being too greedy' at the start of the game makes so much sense and I think loads of people try to read their opponent without having any clue of their usual actions in certain situations. Me included. It's nice to see it being put into words like this in a video
Dude you are the perfect coach lol. I play casually and main link/Ganon just because of how much I play Zelda games. I have absolutely ZERO patience when I play competitive style, my GSP has taken many hits for this. I’ve watched a lot of your videos for tips, you earned your damn sub, quality content all around.
Awesome analysis! Good job. High quality application to the matchup too, I enjoyed it. I think my favorite was "Too risky! Just go to ledge." I need to do that WAY more.
This is gonna help me a lot as well. Whenever I play Link I feel like I’m giving up too much stage control vs rush down characters (like fox). I feel like I learn tons of great takeaways every time I watch this channel, and I really appreciate it! Thanks a lot! Edit: also I feel like no matter what character you play, you can still take away tons of info from watching this analysis.
Great video, I love to see people’s analysis of gameplay. I just hope you don’t get overwhelmed with 1000s of people asking to have their matches analyzed, because you did a great job.
This might be my favorite series, really helps me see the dumb stuff I do and what options I should be performing instead. Please keep doing this type of content!
These are so helpful! This is the second match/set analysis I've watched in a while and I really feel like I gain more insight through these. Picking up on and adapting to opponents' habits is something I'd say is struggle with but watching this and having that specifically reinforced is very helpful. Also this is nice since I'm considering picking up link
One of the best things I’ve ever seen out of the RUclips community and the reason I subscribed. I hope one day I get a chance to be coached! Link is my Main
Really liked this video. It's really interesting to see where other people can improve and also to learn how to improve yourself. I'd like to see more off this content
This video is awesome and super informative! The analysis you provided can be applied to more than just this person's Link which is awesome! I would love to see more of these types of videos!
Great tips that a lot of us can use! Between my opponent's stock, I usually hit my bomb with an up air cause it sends it far straight up & off screen it can distract or confuse them while I try to be evasive in that area without going off stage if I can. Ledge traps are hard since Link is slow & most options feel like a hard commitment knowing you'll probably get punished when you miss. Keeping that in mind, the bomb on stage can help cover normal get up especially when it's bouncing & just detonate if they drop shield or hang too long. Nair covers rolls, fair or uair cover jumps. Or just catch their landing. That's my two cents, hope it helps too! Thanks for another great video, man!
This was awesome. If nothing else sticks I will now forever blow myself up against Luigi. I dont know why my noob ass never thought about that. Tbh I'm a pretty slow reader so I had to pause a lot, but I none the less have learned a bunch from this video. From this Links ledge traps down to preffered positioning in certain conditions. This was awesome and if I had wifi I would have loved the opportunity to take some lessons. Keep up the great content. I'm looking forward to what I can learn next!
Thanks for your comment. Yeah i think of text length a lot, but i would rather have it too fast and have the slower readers pause than vice versa, because otherwise the fast readers get bored. Thanks for your understanding:)
Another amazing video. You guys watching dont acc know how much this will benefit you. On top of that LxZ is telling you what you need to know and the main points. But watch it a couple times after this and try finding some of the players habits and tricks yourself. What I always find helpful is to watch LxZ's video twice, then just think about it, then watch it again, then try to apply it in game (and learn it in training mode if needed)
Amazing video. Keep up the great content. And please for the love of Zelda, do more of this. This is good to learn from, especially of how certain MU’s should be played. Thank you for helping me improve👍🏽
If he gets the footage when he finally beats this guy, could you show that set too? Also, what in the world?! I'm not subscribed yet?! Thanks for the multiple reminders, and keep up the great work, LxZ!
Thank you for this, as I am working on my Link for the next available tourney after this pandemic is over. I would really like to see more of this content
The bomb play is never really what got him hit, it was just not knowing what to do against invincibility or staying in the middle of the stage. Just pull the bomb and go to ledge, or against slower characters you can fake them out going one way and go the other way. The bomb is helpful because you can blow yourself up away from their attacks if you get too cornered. Though I find it best to basically just hang on ledge most of the time and learn how to get out of the corner. One good mix-up is double jump up smash throw the bomb near the ledge and go to it. The bomb likely will still be bouncing by the time they aren't invincible and it will provide a bit of pressure for you to get back up. Or they will try to grab it instead of pressuring you which also gives you extra time. Remember when you have a lead play patiently you're in no rush to approach them.
This was actually an AMAZING breakdown. I saw some of my own bad habits while watching this Link player. No offense of course to the Link player. I still haven't mastered bomb recoveries lol I'm more focused on tightening up my neutral at the moment.
Great vid, luigi whirlwind and dash attacks are pretty high up there on the broken list, dude needs more lag on grab, its obscene how many times he can whip out the vacc in a moment
Wow! This is an amazing set analysis! I don't even play Link and I have taken away a lot to think about in my play. Would give a 5/5 on yelp if I payed for this.
This was wonderful for me. This Link is better than mine, but he makes a lot of the mistakes I do. I mean, to be fair, if a "better person" makes mistakes, it's not unreasonable that the "lesser one" could make those same mistakes. I'm pretty sure that patience is a thing I don't have though, so learning how to actually use it is going to be rough. And yeah, bomb spam is a personal limitation on my end too.
I’m a Luigi main, not a link main, but it helped me on thinking about what not to do as Luigi. Mash. And tbag (I don’t t bag anyways). Also I probably need to be more careful at high percents and careful in general.
I actually really don’t think it’s bad to pull bomb at zero, I think this player just didn’t effectively use it as a wall-out tool in these few situations here. A few things he could try, rather than outright stopping: Pull bomb, and then if you are close to ledge, jump back, throw the bomb and fast fall and grab ledge. Usually it will bounce off and if they ignore it, you can use it as cover if you’re decent at getting off ledge, mix it up of course. If they throw it, you can also try to drop fair from ledge if you’re feeling aggressive to catch it at the same time. You can also hold the bomb on ledge and then use it to cover your get up, drop f throw, ledge jump d throw, you can get creative with it. If you really want to jump out of the corner, jump and throw the bomb down to cover yourself as you go over them. You can also land with nair/ double jump nair as the invincibility has usually worn off by now. Or just take center stage. As always, this is a mixup. Not saying you should always pull bomb at zero, in some matchups it’s just not useful, but like most things in this game, it has its uses. Also unrelated but wave bounce back boomerang is also great as a whiff punish, like at 9:42!
This is very interesting to watch ngl, feel like I learned a lot watching the match and your advice in certain scenarios. Btw you think you could watch a bo3 set I played before the virus closed everything down? I’d be interested to hear your input
Soooooo I dont get what's wrong with pulling bomb for setups and pressure when it's safe. I mean I usually zdrop or use it for shield pressure so I can grab. Not sure I agree
When he said STOP PLAYING AROUND WITH THAT DAMN BOMB I felt that
I also have that habit.. I need to get rid of it
It’s not a bad habit if you can do the tech, but and this is a big but if you are constantly pulling bomb then you become too predictable
I'd like to see more of this kind of video. I feel like I've learned so much even though it's not my games that you're analysing
Great video, also damn that link was cool, I mean those were some of the finest edgeguards I've seen, all the more impressive considering he was tilted by his opponent. Maybe LxZ could put some of his games so we could get more real matches to draw inspiration from.
I’ll definitely try to do that:) talk you guys through what i’m trying to do
I'm waiting for there to be one dislike, and we'll all know who its from.
The luigi
Luigi pls dont do that to me:(
@@LxZLink Uh-oh... He found us...
Hi
I’m not the Luigi and I liked. Great video!
Christian Crab
He brought a friend
Not a link main but this is great content
Not gonna lie the first match really got me on the edge of my seat.
It was a great set!!!
Great analysis, since this link looks almost exactly like mine I’ll try to apply everything you said in the video as I was the one concerned. Keep it up!
Same here. His Link is similar to mine, except he's better than me.
@@yowza9638 same

Nice! Yes unfortunately training mode only takes you so far.
Damn I never knew what went through better players minds
Great video. I would also suggest learning the jumpless bomb recoveries too. If you save your jump you can further mixup your landing to get back onstage
Super important indeed:)
Yo I just got to say ur guides on link have really helped me, I was so ready to play a different character but ur videos inspired me to keep playing him and learn the character fully... thanks a lot man and hope to see more link guides
glad you enjoyed:)
This is actually useful as hell because as a Link player I also get wrecked by Luigi players
As a Link main for years, I just want to say that I’ve been studying your videos to an immense degree lately. Thank you tons for your tips, I’m trying to cut out my bad habits, but I feel stagnant. These videos are incredibly inspiring.

This really helps with my mindset for analyzing my own replays, which is sooo helpful. Love it!
Loving these types of videos! Can't tell you how much this has helped me spot my own habits in-game, and how to analyze my replays moving forward.

This commentary and analysis is great. I definitely learned a lot of things from watching this even if I wasn't the person playing in this set.
I really enjoyed your analysis. I don’t play link much, but I still think it’s good to learn how he works for matchup experience
I don't even really play Link as a Robin main, but I'm learning a lot from these vids anyway. Good stuff.
congrats on 15k! keep killin it 🔥

I love the idea!
Please continue to do this format! ❤️
LxZ: "seems like this luigi is catching onto your dash away"
Luigi: I dunno I just like to mash grab in neutral

I really like the pace of your videos and this new kind of content! Keep up the good work man
I play both, this video was super useful to get an idea of how advanced smash players think in the bg of all
this is an incredible resource honestly i have a lot to learn
Yo that video was amazing. I knew it was going to be helpful but holy crap, that was wayyy more helpful than I thought. 15/10
15/10 comment! thanks!
I love this as someone who recently switched from PIT to Link. Thanks. And commentary on the Bomb tricks are HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣😂

Absolutely love these analysis videos they are top class. Some great plays by the Link too!
This video is really amazing. More people need to do content like this
That Luigi looked like the definition of an Elite Smash player with all that spot dodging
Nice content and probs for the infinite support on Link Cord

I am going to go to a tournament and for sure a Luigi is going to be there. Thanks :)
This was super helpful, thanks for putting it on your channel. I'm up for other content like this.

a year later and this is still so helpful
Another incredibly good analysis. Thank you.
Great stuff! Really have been trying to work on my edgeguarding and ledgetrapping. Great video for that!
Thus help very much i like to see more link videos like this to improve better
Great vid, luigi whirlwind and dash attacks are pretty high up there on the broken list, dude needs more lag on grab, its obscene how many times he can whip out the vacc in a moment
yeah grab kinda busted but thankfully there's decent couNAIRterplay to it.
Wow! This is an amazing set analysis! I don't even play Link and I have taken away a lot to think about in my play. Would give a 5/5 on yelp if I payed for this.
I really love this kind of analysis. Keep it up!
Great video and very informative. I have trouble myself against this character on elite smash, but this video helped a lot

Links forward tilt spaced is a good move to spam at the ledge

4:13 let’s think about this! (It was at this moment he knew he F’d Up)
Super dope vid. Feels like I'm watching a Kobe Detail video lol.
4:51 would have been a good time to set up a bomb ledge trap could have covered neutral getup.
this is really good coaching
Good video, I learned a lot !
I get tilted by greninjas and zeldas, at least online. I've only played 3 local offline tournaments, never made it past top 16.
5:28 Prioritize Safety Over Offense When You’re Cornered At 150%
(Starts to bomb recover)
Super helpful thank you
Love it! MOAR!!!
i was anxious, why did i feel like he was getting mad at me
This is awesome content
you deserve way more subs tbh
It’s like advice for both of my mains! Thanks lol
This is very interesting to watch ngl, feel like I learned a lot watching the match and your advice in certain scenarios. Btw you think you could watch a bo3 set I played before the virus closed everything down? I’d be interested to hear your input
Playing with the bomb to getting bodied is a true combo
As a Link main this set was hard to watch at times XD.
Amazing edgeguards by the Link tho.
Awesome Video!! I too wanna know if we can somehow do this kind of stuff, sending our matches so you can analyze them.
Stay on the lookout for announcements on twitter or on youtube posts in case i do this again:)
whats the intro and ending song? its awesome
Soooooo I dont get what's wrong with pulling bomb for setups and pressure when it's safe. I mean I usually zdrop or use it for shield pressure so I can grab. Not sure I agree
Do more of these cause this link plays very similar to me and I have the same bad habits
To remove the weegeevirus, install an up-to-date antivirus software on your computer and update regularly
Not a bad Link player! He has to rethink his decision thou
This helped my link, thx
