    I was wondering what was up with how the tool wall war out of focus at the end, until I heard the jack racketing off screen. I had to laugh at the toy truck rising up. AS much as I liked the restoration and new color scheme, that last bit verified this deserves a thumbs up.

      If the main seal is not damaged its really easy to fix these. Just take extra care with the main seal as its quite brittle.

    Nice work!
    Not sure if you know about them, you can get silicone or rubber covers for your vice jaws, they really help not damaging parts and are quite cheap. Also, I've seen other restorers use body filler on cast iron to give it a smooth finish with great success, I've not used that method myself yet but fully intend to.

    I'm guessing the problem was pumping shaft being rusted and the o ring gave way loosing pressure and fluid. I didn't see any identifying marks on the jack, how did you manage to find the right kit?

      @AJRestoration  3 года назад +2

      Luckily I have seal kit in the workshop.

  • @Castleknight
    @Castleknight 3 года назад +1

    Did you already have new o-rings are did you have to buy some? If you had to buy some, did you measure the old ones, in some manner, to know what size to buy? An excellent restoration, by the way!

    • @AJRestoration
      @AJRestoration  3 года назад +2

      I have a o-ring kit on hand, but usually when I need to buy new ones, I just take the old ones with and find the best match.

    There are a lot of unnecessary scenes.
    The video is artificially stretched.
    Everything is extremely slow.
    It gets boring in the first minutes.
