I was wondering what was up with how the tool wall war out of focus at the end, until I heard the jack racketing off screen. I had to laugh at the toy truck rising up. AS much as I liked the restoration and new color scheme, that last bit verified this deserves a thumbs up.
When I read "whiskey Jack restoration", I thought this was gonna be more fun, like Jack Daniels and maybe a party involved or something... Great restore, though! 👍
Pretty clean oil in the jack, I've seen worst than that in my Chinese jack, i couldn't get an special oil for jack to replaced it so i replace the oil with hydraulic oil that we use in machine like CAT and JCB😁😃 work great 🤗 👌👌👌
Buen trabajo.
If you don't know the manufacturer of a bottle jack "Made in Taiwan" for example, how do you know what repair kit to order? (O-ring sizes, etc?) Great video... thanks!
Nice work! Not sure if you know about them, you can get silicone or rubber covers for your vice jaws, they really help not damaging parts and are quite cheap. Also, I've seen other restorers use body filler on cast iron to give it a smooth finish with great success, I've not used that method myself yet but fully intend to.
Great restoration made to this hydraulic bottle jack, respects and greetings from Venezuela.💯🤘👍💯🙏🙏
I'm guessing the problem was pumping shaft being rusted and the o ring gave way loosing pressure and fluid. I didn't see any identifying marks on the jack, how did you manage to find the right kit?
Did you already have new o-rings are did you have to buy some? If you had to buy some, did you measure the old ones, in some manner, to know what size to buy? An excellent restoration, by the way!
What's the temperature in South Africa right now? I see you are wearing long sleeves and I know that it's almost officially winter in the southern hemisphere.
Good to hear happy children in the background . . . And great job on the restoration
Thanks 👍 I used to keep them quiet, but I think I like the kids in the background. Makes myself and some of the viewers smile from time to time.
Amazing how after it was refurbished that it could lift that entire truck... lol Thumbs Up!
I know, right? :)
Perfect color. Ingenious use of a vise.
Thank you very much! I had to make a plan haha.
First 10K is supposed to be the hardest - congratulations! You made it!
Yes! Thank you!
Great job Bro... and @ 22:40 LOL

Excellent restoration bro! And the last part is humorous!
Thank you very much!
Perfect job!. I like the end part where you push the car toy up...lolzz😂😅😂😜
Glad you liked it
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota.
Good afternoon from South Africa.
What noumero hydraulik oil use
No 10 for hydraulik heavy machine?
With love from Greece.
@@GZTrik any hydraulic jack oil works. They sell it over the counter. It's just a light weight hydro oil. I've used ATF trany oit in a couple.
Fun jack to do - nice restoration!
Thank you
Beautiful work

Very nice, looks beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
that ending... hahaha nice 1!
Thank you very much
@@AJRestoration no sir, I thank you... now i know what to do w/ my old bottle jack ;)
If the main seal is not damaged its really easy to fix these. Just take extra care with the main seal as its quite brittle.
@@AJRestoration i see... highly appreciated, thank you so much!
Cool!

I have seen blokes use cooking oil in a pinch.

Good job well done
Thanks Vince
Nicely done. I have one question. Why did you spray paint the body and powder coat the others ?
FIRST HYDRALIC JACK I SEEN WITHOUT A SCREW IN IT TO ADJUST HEIGHT
Interesting
What paint is that blue I am looking to paint a vise in that same color. Thanks great vid
The paint is labeled skye blue.
Nice to see something that was tossed brought back to life but also the inner workings of it.
That is the main reason.

Well done! You always do such a great job on these restorations and producing these videos. I really enjoy your content. 😃👍🏼
Thank you very much David! I am glad you enjoy my videos!

Muchas gracias.

Great video, but never use a crescent wrench like that. The moving side never takes the force.
I'm guessing the problem was pumping shaft being rusted and the o ring gave way loosing pressure and fluid. I didn't see any identifying marks on the jack, how did you manage to find the right kit?
Luckily I have seal kit in the workshop.
Did you already have new o-rings are did you have to buy some? If you had to buy some, did you measure the old ones, in some manner, to know what size to buy? An excellent restoration, by the way!
I have a o-ring kit on hand, but usually when I need to buy new ones, I just take the old ones with and find the best match.
I’m surprised you didn’t just repaint it the original color. But, blue is cool. Also, what is the weight limit for that Jack?
I think it's either a 20T or 32T
Wow i have the same one smaller size
What size is the one you have? I'd like to get an estimate on what size the one is that I just restored.
@@AJRestoration it is medium size hydraulic jack. I don't know much about yours 😕 your may be 50 ton or more.
Looks to be a 5 ton jack.
What's the temperature in South Africa right now? I see you are wearing long sleeves and I know that it's almost officially winter in the southern hemisphere.
In the mornings it quite cold, but at 1pm its mild and as some would say, just right.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@1:50... Thanks, now I need a pee......
There are a lot of unnecessary scenes.
The video is artificially stretched.
Everything is extremely slow.
It gets boring in the first minutes.
👍👍👍
