Glad I stumbled upon this recording of this song. I've had a really bad copy for about 20 years or so. 2000 was such a great year for Phish. The pinnacle of their career, Big Cypress on. This Ghost is top shelf. Every time I put this on, I close my eyes and imagine being at a show in 2000 and it takes be back to better times. Phish was my rock in an uncertain world and continue to be so. Thank you for this beautiful recording.
This week’s announcement of it being released mixed from the multitracks as volume 4 of “LP on LP” vinyl should cure that….so long as you have a turntable.

Clapton and Duane Allman would have loved this - the interplay and groove are as tight/loose, flowing and soulful as their jamming within Derek and the Dominoes.
Still remember being in the orchestra when this went down. An amazing night for sure but this was the clear highlight. During the mellow finish everyone was just kind of looking around not sure what to do, we were stunned.

However, not unlike some kind of Wonder Woman/Charlie’s Angel hybrid, this woman comes through the front door after high tailing it to wegmans at the first sign of thirsty guests. After all, the only person more well liked then Phishman was his mom.

Prague Ghost is great! Both are a testament to how versatile Ghost jams can be. The Radio City ghost only features Trey taking a typical Ghost solo for maybe 2 minutes, the rest is much more patient and melancholy rhythm guitar that seems fitting for the legendary theater setting. Juxtapose that with the Prague Ghost which has Trey just laying his heart and soul into a booster ignition solo that feeds off the energy of a very intimate, yet rowdy crowd. If I were to show a friend Phish's jamming versatility, I'd start with these two.

Id say 97 was the ultimate peak but they've had numerous and imo they're hitting another peak now
