MISTAKES WERE MADE... EN MASSE - Sea of Thieves w/ @Senpapi Rick , Zimbie, & Lucid: ruclips.net/video/snado4I-FRk/видео.html
I personally found Riddler scary even with the mask on.
He gave me Zodiac Killer vibes.
But he was still great without the mask too.
That was the inspiration for this Riddler
@@jakobmata7011 That’s cool.
That's what they were going for
He is not the real Riddler.
That’s exactly what I got when I saw this movie. Even without the mask, he still kinda looks like the police sketch of the Zodiac Killer with the glasses.
I watched this movie and I honestly find it to be really good. Something some people don't get is that Batman isn't just a hero who hunts down and beats up bad guys, he's the world's greatest detective too, so it's nice to see that aspect finally in a Batman movie.
Also, I saw this movie and not 3 days later, Doug released this review of it. Talk about timing.
He's not the world's greatest detective yet in this movie. Both Penguin & Riddler point out that he's not that smart as an investigator, he does not know much about basic Spanish, Alfred cracked the code for him, he was unaware of the club within the club despite already entering the place, did not know his own parents' history, did not know what a carpet tucker is, did not check out the source of the Russian girl's photo which was an apartment outside of the Iceberg Lounge, did not save any serial killing victims until Riddler turned himself in and hinted about the final plan, etc...
To me one thing the movies never really capture is batmans empathy and his want for his villains to be able to reform
This is probably my favourite Batman film of all time at least so far.
I still think they should've teased hush instead of Joker. Hush works so much better for a detective style Batman movie
Thank God joker isn't the villain in the next the batman movie clay face is perfect villain for this universe
Honestly, can we get another villain represented without the Joker as Batman's training wheels every new reboot? I'm still for Mr. Freeze, hopefully casted with Mads Mikkelsen.
@@noir-214 Clayface would be awesome for this universe, instead of the hulking shape-shifting titan we could get a serial killer vibe who just happens to switch faces on the fly maybe like the Chameleon from Spider-Man!
@@sebastianemond5313
THANK YOU!!!! Can we have one Batman without Joker? Hollywood acts like he's the only Batman villain.
It's darker, but in a seedy pulp-noir kind of dark. It's not insistent on its own gravitas like the entirety of the Snyderverse.
Nate the explosion scene with Alfred and the desk I instinctively said mahogany as you said mahogany got me holding my sides laughing out here love what you guys do always Entertainer
BTW, they are not using Joker for the trilogy
Note about him getting blown up, Battinson put his arms up, blocking his face, so no burns.
I say this before watching: I really enjoyed this film. It's easily my 3rd or 4th favorite live action Batman movie of all time. Robert Pattinson is certainly my favorite actor who's played Batman. The first scene with the signal is exactly what I've always wanted in a Batman movie. As for criticisms, I do start to feel the length towards the end. Although I believe he did perfectly with what was asked if him, Paul Dano is so far my least favorite Riddler. I have other, far more nitpicky issues but they don't hold up as valid criticism.
I definitely agree with the Riddler point. They definitely got what they wanted, but I despise how they made him so deranged.
I hope we don’t have another Joker in the sequel. I think they should make it Hush or someone else
It should be Hush and Zsasz in the second one, obviously operating independently, but that could open up an opportunity to bring in a Robin.
@@SCP.343 agreed!!!
Yes! I love your Nostalgia Critic Reviews! You and Nic should react to Nostalgia Critic's Austin Powers Trilogy sometime.
Nj. The city is in Nj.
27:40 one of many reasons non-Batman fans somtimes ask, "Are you sure he doesn't have powers?"
It was much different than I was expecting it to be. But was really good for it being what it was.
So I'd love the idea of the second movie being mainly about Scarecrow looking for what makes Batman afraid, but due to the flood he’ll need to make it his hideout, so he hires two maniacs that can swim and fly Killercroc takes over the flooded areas and maybe a flying rouge like Firefly would be burning any intruders
The depiction of catwoman in this i think is heavenly inspired by batman year one as the movie is based of that and the long halloween
27:27 The Flying Fox!
31:00 love the tfs reference there.
If they ever bring The Court of Owls in The Batman Film, I can also them bring Owlman (Thomas Wayne JR, Batman’s Brother/Evil Counterpart) to make Bruce keep questioning about his own Family (I mean this Martha was in Asylum, which I need to know what did she done? so why not have Thomas Wayne JR as maybe Bruce Wayne’s long lost Brother or something)
6:25 the first time i watched this review i cried laughing cuz that was such a hilarious call out XD
I can’t wait for them to react to Superman Returns (it has my favorite ad by Doug ever)
The Batman is personally my favorite out of probably every live action interpretation we've gotten mostly because it's a detective nior dark crime drama type thing and it fits Batman so well this movie is just 10 out of 10 masterpiece in my opinion
I think the scarecrow would be a good sequel villain.
You should react to his review of the AVGN movie. And maybe some AVGN videos too.
39:06 Venom? A set up for Bane?
Did Doug make a FF7 reference
Me personally I thought this the only DC movie I generally enjoy and think is fantastic
I love this movie a lot and I hate to say this but...... I love this movie way better than The Dark Knight. Don't get me wrong, its a masterpiece but this one is marvelous, the cast and crew did such an amazing job including Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Matt Reeves did such an amazing job with this movie. It's my favorite movie of the year so far.
6:36 41:54
I was laughing throughout the movie because the Riddler felt like Jim Carrey as a Twitch streamer and my mom looked at me funny
Fun fact: I actually enjoyed this movie so much that I went to watch it in theaters twice. It's nice to see Pattinson able to move on from the Twilight movies, cause he actually is a good actor and he portrayed a young Bruce Wayne/Batman amazingly. Sure it's no Keaton, or Kevin Conroy may he rest in peace, but he didn't try to do that and did his own thing and I appreciate that and enjoyed his performance.
I want The Second Batman Film (and I want Poison Ivy played by Emma Stone and Bane played by Batista, also I think it would be cool if this is kinda The Origin Story of Poison Ivy as a Villain and Bane as The Kingpin of Gotham that want to rule Gotham with an Iron Fist)
Are Robert and Emma also The Same Age? because I can see Bruce and Isley have a thing, until Bruce Wayne realises that Isley is working with Bane
As awesome as that hypothetical ending to the Dark Knight would've been, I'm glad they didn't. Only because I don't know if Heath Ledger would've survived to film the second one after. I'm not sure how long after filming he actually passed away.
I liked the part where bones went crack and cars went vroom vroom real good
I loved the movie since I first saw it in cinema.
Though my mum was really not a fan. Both rewatched and that time she really enjoyed. And she had no idea why she didn't originally. Same with my aunt. Exact same reaction
I do think it's longer than he needed to be. Yes the Dark Knight was also long but this was an extra 20 minutes. And I felt it
Nathan... I've been with the Renegades for a long time now, hell I was here for the historical 'Unleashing of the Kraken'. And I'd just like to say, thanks to Mad Doctor Tolliver, during this film's climax, I could think of nothing but: "ONE MAN! ALONE! BETRAYED BY THE DAUGHTER HE LOVES!". Not accurate to the scene, but was stuck in my head anyway.
React minty comedic arts 10 things that you didn't know about Edward Scissorhands
This is one of my favorite movies to come out recently.
Hey nate react to his morbius review
i'm gonna put it out there: i'm not a fan of this batman movie.
[guns pointed at me] hear me out.
i'm not saying it's bad, i wouldn't consider it 'batman & robin' bad.
there are some decent things in this film, like the camera eye contact lens and gotham city in underwater is kinda neat.
i just find it a fine batman movie, but also uneventful & underwhelming.
also, i'm all batman & bruce wayne out, like feeling the fatigue of it.
i'm sick of WB kissin' batman's ass while other DC heroes are demoted to b, c and d lists.
this recent batman film gave me such an uneventful & underwhelmed feeling that i'm not too hyped for it's sequels.
i'd rather have live-action films that redeem previously botched batman characters, like dick grayson/robin, barbara gordon/batgirl, mr. freeze and poison ivy than seeing another bruce wayne/batman film again.
I do like this movie for what it does as a Batman film. But I do have notes.
Pattinson, while being a very good Batman, was a shit Bruce Wayne. I think he was stuck in Edward Cullen mode because Bruce Wayne doesn't publically act like a brooding emo; only really behind closed doors. So seeing him be all dark and broody as Wayne as well was a headache. But MAN, he was a good, intimidating, and humane Batman. Because he remembered something about Batman: he cares about saving people.
Riddler was scary to me both with and without the mask, because it felt like they nicely meshed both Riddler and the Zodiac Killer who, honestly, are fairly similar. Though, I could do without the Streamer/4Chan aspect since that feels a bit... what's the word? Biased? Preachy?
The film was very nicely toned throughout the film but definitely had tonal whiplash. At tones, it just pulls goofy shit out of a dark and tense situation, and at times it feels like it has trouble meshing a Pseudo-Noir story and a dark Superhero story; which should be easily done. It knew how to be silent, build tension and mystery, and make the villain and hero actually feel like an actual and very real hero and villain. Though, did we really need that big Terrorist finale with the sea wall and the bomb vans?
But Zoe Kravitz was a damn good Catwoman... excluding a few weird lines here and there.
Outside of that, I do think this is a decent Batman film that does more good than bad. 8.7/10.
React to Nostalgia Critic Spider-Man No Way Home review please.
24:52 Good luck to ya. 👍

Nah, Catwoman wasn't bisexual...in the same way Luz from The Owl House isn't bisexual. Luz and Amity, best friends forever. 😁
Best friends... *with benefits?*
@@sebastianemond5313 The benefit of having friends.
2:00 - 2:05 2 & a half?? *Oh no! Yet we were willing to tolerate the f-ing 4 hour long Snyder Cut of Justice League--* Grow up, damn it. Get over it. You're not getting your precious Snyder-verse. You got what you wanted with Zack Snyder's interpretation; count your blessings and let it go.
I thought this was the best DC movie ever not even I like way better than dark knight am I didn't enjoy as much as the batman not even close respect to the actor of joker RIP he was the best part of the movie though
This movie felt like the Arkham series to me and I loved the Arkham series.
