Lauren, i find you very inspirational and with great ideas. I also admire your work ethic and recognize your passion for this endeavor. I have liked so much of what you've done! I think my favorite is the 4 piece set you sprayed to a cream color. Keep up the great work!
You are one hard worker! Love how your passion comes out when you’re working.
🇨🇦come on people money is like oxygen we all need it ! My hubby and I in our sixty’s do it and it has financed overseas holidays and improved lifestyles ! Lauren you are an inspiration and a fantastic business woman that works hard and you deserve everything you have 😄may 2025 bring you happiness and prosperity. You are looking so beautiful hope you are finding contentment in your life .
I have been watching you from the beginning. Your business has come a long way. Best wishes for a successful 2025.
I enjoy all of your videos, Lauren. And i appreciate the breakdown on costs and profits. Best wishes in 2025. Anne
Lauren, I have been a fan since the beginning. I was so excited when you paid off the student loan, and look at you now! You have retail/work space, a top notch You Tube channel, and tutorials. You gone from a cottage industry to full fledged entrepreneur. The happiest of new years to you. ❤️2U
You do such amazing work! You’re so detail oriented! 😊
I didn’t make a lot flipping furniture but it was so rewarding and great therapy. I felt I was saving a lot of well constructed 70-80s duh furniture no one wanted; some I painted and older ones with beautiful woods I refinished and restored. I have a couple of cabinets my grandfather constructed (not a master carpenter😉) that had been repainted over last 100 years several times. If paid per hour it would be minimal but I never figured my time as it was a hobby for me. I now just experiment with different paint colors & techniques and have been able to reclaim my garage for car!
I got a set just like your first one but when I got it home I decided to keep it and put in my guest room. And since I, personally, love natural wood I just cleaned and polished. I have watched you from day one and you have been a big influence in my doing furniture upgrading. Not doing great in the resale department, but I am happy with it. I have 4 horse stalls full of NICE furniture that I will paint. PS after watching the rest of the furniture - I like wood DEPENDING on the type/color of the wood.
Hi Lauren - I don't have a favorite because you make each project unique in regards to color and style. I do love the two-tone projects with the stained wood tops - they're always gorgeous but then everything is including you. Thank you for your integrity and forthright manner in dealing with your business and your success is amazingly joyful to watch. I think so many of us must feel like "aunties" to you as you continue to excel in mastering your own homegrown business. In the past these kinds of businesses, mostly by women, were referred to as cottage industry and I've always been very interested in having my own career (outside of the home - as a single woman, no kids) plus a small business from my home. You've taken that cottage industry into another realm and I pray for your success as it becomes another link of encouragement to other men and women who want to create in similar ways. Kudos to you, Lauren, and your team. You make my week brighter and happier.
Aw, thank you for the kind words! I appreciate your support!
Thanks for being upfront on costs and money made. I feel that the flippers such as yourself are successful because of the time, energy and work you put in to what you are doing. And if you LOVE what you are doing it is never a job and you can live very nicely. You go girl!!
Thanks for giving such a detailed breakdown. This also gives a realistic idea for someone who may only want to do a few flips a year to make some extra money.
of course! this is exactly what I was going for (:
Hope that you and your loved ones had a wonderful holiday!!! And yall have a wonderful new year🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey Lauren! You would be proud.. I finally attempted to flip a piece of furniture! I was given a solid pine Broyhill tall boy! So a couple things I have learned… First I am so envious of the tools you have! I did it caveman style… I removed all the hardware but one knob was glued and it broke off a some wood with it.. you are taught me how to repair the blemishes but I could not find bondo or anything like it (2 part epoxy) I went with just a wood filler.. also my drawers would not come out. I tipped up, I tipped down, ran my hand underneath but could get them out..😂 I chose a navy blue color as your pieces looked beautiful in this color… I am going to shop Amazon for some hardware. That seems to be the best choice as the big box stores like to charge per piece which can get pricy..

Hello Lauren, I love your work and enjoy watching your video's very much.
I hope 2025 is the best ever for you.
I have been watching your videos for a few months and I enjoy them all. I went back and watched all of the videos from your early days as well. You inspire me so much; I have 2 vintage tall chests in a storage unit that have damaged veneers I'm going to try to repair them when I move into our new home. THANK YOU FOR TEACHING THIS SKILL. i know they may not look as great as what you do, but I will try.
I'm so glad I could inspire you! You'll do great!
This is Lorraine from Corning New York I never thought I would like black furniture before because I didn't the way you paint black furniture I'm starting to like it doing a great job you're making me like things I didn't like before on furniture which is a good thing please be well and safe and blessed keep the videos coming
Congratulations on your very profitable year! You are also looking great! I have been watching since the beginning, and I can see how you have grown in all ways. Happy for you. Just a question: where is Neiman? Happy New Year!
Hi Lauren, You had a wonderful year. I'm looking forward to more flips. Keep them coming. Best of luck in 2025.
Thank you! I'm excited for this year too!
Hi Lauren. Well done. You will grow and grow now. I hope that you meet the right person who has his own life. I admire you and will always support you. Well done for what you have worked so hard to build. You deserve all the good that you get out of it. Keep it close to your heart and do not share it again just because you are so kind. Xx
Did I miss something? Pretty sure Neiman is still around.
Congratulations on all your hard work and vision.
Amazing, Lauren! You’ve really done a great job
You did a great job on the Ethan Allen furniture. So glad you are saving quality pieces like EA and Pennsylvania House. And all solid wood pieces. lol Amazing work. It only takes hard work and extreme patience. 🙂
1:05:49 What a shame that the campaign style hardware wasn't complete. I really like the look of Campaign Style furniture. It looked great in the end though. Good Job.
Oh Lauren, the first project shown was absolutely beautiful!!! Love, Love, Love the color!
Very inspirational. I've learned so much from you. You are creating great pieces and selling them at excellent price point. How was your year, gross versus net? New digs working well for your biz? We all want to know! See you at your next video!
Gosh I love the green dresser 💚
Looks like you had a great 6 months flipping furniture! Happy New Year! Also, you have had your store for one year now, but I haven't seen any updates on how it's going. Is it working out as well as you hoped?
When the lease is up, will you continue to rent your huge store, or will you move to a smaller space?
I think that you’re a hard worker, a great teacher and you explain things well. I wish you every success,
for now I am staying here at the store (: we'll see what the future brings!
Absolutely STUNNING, LOVE it 🤩
Love your videos, you are a true artist! Do you ever plan to do a shorter hairstyle?
Is it possible to make a real paycheck from flipping furniture on FB Market place if you do it full time Like $1,500-$2,000 per week? I think after watching this long video that is a question a lot of people would like to know. Thax
how is your store doing? and how is your rb and b doing ive followed you when you were a teacher.
@ruthmccormick-vt1 she sold that property in January of last year she said in a comment when I asked awhile back on another video
They make a lot more money as content creators than as furniture flippers. This very, very long video is a prime example. The longer the video, the more ads are shown. With more ads come more viewers of the ads and with more viewers, the ad revenue is increased. They also make money from sponsorships, brand association, brand affiliation and the like. One of the furniture content creators set out a couple of months ago the real income generated by flipping furniture. She flipped a set of night stands for USD 200. She only made around USD 150 profit. However, with the added revenue from the above sources, she made around USD 2000. Yes, that is right; $2000. That is why content creators keep on nagging about subscribers. Not to keep the viewers up to date, but to increase their revenue. All content creators have an angle, whether it is teaching, story telling (fables basically) or outrages refinishing that is obviously not economically viable, whatever the angle may be, the main objective is to get more money. In the end it is really what it is about. Should the viewer be entertained, educated, shocked,, outraged etc, it is a bonus.
The fact that it is ultimately about generating income, is not a bad thing. It is just another way to earn a living.
This is Lorraine from Corning New York again I have an idea for you just as suggestion maybe you should remake over furniture like couches chairs like take the old material off and put new material on you can make extra money doing that too
Based on the numbers provided, I'd say you can't make ANY money flipping furniture.
It's one thing if you are doing this for a little extra pocket money or to outfit your home on the cheap. However, I wouldn't suggest this as a source of income. Even if you round your year's "profit" up to $28k (what a good year!). You are effectively earning roughly $13.50 an hour, which is less than minimum wage in many US States. That also doesn't include the fact that you'll have to pay taxes on all this "profit".
Also, what will you do if you severely injure yourself? You'll either need to apply for private coverage or pay out of pocket. Also, your "profits" start shrinking if you have to be off your feet for any length of time.
This video totaly discouraged me.... I actually make more on dividends in my RH account that I opened in 2020 and slowly add to. She should take her tiny profits and invest....then see what happens.... (But I have learned from her for upcycling for my interior design projects)
this isnt a full scope of what I earned with my multiple income streams. this is solely to encourage people that its a great side hustle. I wouldnt consider myself a full time furniture flipper, I would consider myself a full time content creator. flipping furniture is a great side hustle but also, a great option if you were to dive in full time. I know several people that solely focus on furniture flipping and sales and they make way more than $25k/year. just sharing the numbers to help encourage people.
@FurnitureFlippingTeacher hats off to you Lauren. In this day and age, you can make a lot through digital channel content creation, and you have picked something that looks like so much fun while also being satisfying. You also show a lot of patience, strength and maturity in the videos and your responses to comments. We can't all be entrepreneurs, but if I could, I wish I were just like you. Chapeau chick! Keep going and thanks for all the tips, I am slowly changing my home.
Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
With this full time endeavor, I hope your RUclips made you more money than the actual cash 10K plus profit did for a 6 month stint at this job! 10k divided by 6 isn't a lot to live on if you have to pay rent, car, , utilities, food, etc. It's less than $1,700 a month. Hope your social medias are paying you well!!
I totally agree.
I’m sure she’s doing well with RUclips.

@@vickyb9918 More than likely the RUclips money helps. That being said, it's not like she just drops the video straight from her camera to youtube and gets instant money. She still has to edit, do the voice over, plus all the other overhead. All this takes time and money as well. The random viewer isn't going to intuit all these hidden time sinks and money sinks.
My point still stands, it doesn't seem feasible to flip furniture for a living. Especially if you have a family to support. It seems to me there are only 2 good reasons for flipping furniture:
1. To refinish furniture for your own use.
2. To make a little pocket change while doing something you enjoy.
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher Hi Lauren. Thank you for posting all of your videos especially those like this one. I have a question regarding your labor. Do you include labor in your bottom line profit? THIA. Kim.
Lauren, No more tattoos!!!
I suspect she isnt in this field for the money she shows her passion for this as a teacher.money isnt everything..carry on..
