20:05 “Hey man, they make him look so old and it looks so good.” Just for the record, Logan is over 200 years old at this point. He’s not just old, he’s bordering on ancient.
On Deadpool 2 we all jumped on J quick to watch this movie before Deadpool & Wolverine. He heeded the call. Thank goodness he did, cause it's gonna make Deadpool 3 so much damn better for him! (It's out on digital tomorrow!)
A standalone classic . Should go down as one of if not the best marvel movie . I know people would disagree but it’s a great flick! Can’t wait for the reaction
Strongly disagree with it being the best Marvel movie. Not because it lacks in quality but because it strays from the Marvel-formula so much. The "R" rating also allowed them to be more dark, gritty and realistic. Calling it a "Marvel movie" just doesn't seem accurate.
Saw this when it came out, it was perfection, fuuuck the end ruined me. As a kid who grew up in the 90s, LOVED watching X-Men, had wolverine toys (even those really big 1 foot) it killed me to see my favorite Marvel character die. yeah its a movie, but we don't like seeing our heroes die.
I didn't watch this reaction, but I have been watching your channel for some time now. I think the only reason you don't have one million followers is probably not that many people watch movie react channels. I like movie recaps and reactions because I don't have to watch the entire movie. I wanted to let you know that, at least in my opinion, you're what this horrible world, as it currently stands, needs right now. I don't know you from the man on the moon, but you seem kind. And you seem genuine. So much of the content on RUclips is either fake or hateful, and there are so many bigots and 'ists' on the platform that it's depressing. You're a breath of fresh air and are wholesome. I'm an atheist, but if I believed in a God, I'd say you were doing the 21st-century version of the Lord's work. Oh, and your doggos are cute. They have more empathy than many humans. Can't wait for your upcoming Halloween content.
Caliban isn't psychic, but his mutant power is sensing and detecting other Mutants. In the comics he loved Kitty Pryde, (Shadowcat) and helped save Colossus's life if Kitty promised to marry him. Caliban kept his part of the bargain, and to be fair Kitty would have as well, but she didn't even have to unpack her bags. Caliban instantly released Kitty from the bargain when she confessed she did not love him. Caliban wanted her to remember him as the good prince he was.
21:46 I was waiting for your reaction to what I consider the funniest part of this movie! I hope to see it on a compilation video of your crack up moments of 2024. Talking to on that one, Blank. I literally rewound that 3 times to rewatch it!
Something a lot of people don't notice, because it's really subtle, is just *why* Logan is aging and his powers failing. It's because of the Anti-mutant agent that Zander Rice and his company developed. Because High-Fructose Corn Syrup is in almost literally everything we consume these days, they started putting the agent into the corn. So, no new mutants are born. And in Mutants, it suppresses their powers. So, Wolverine's healing factor doesn't work as well and can't keep the Adamantium poisoning in check anymore. It may also have contributed to Charles mental condition. Though that *may* just be age.
I think in the comics explained at some point when they made experiments on him, they injected too much adamantium in his body. It didn't kill him, but it is weakening the healing factor. Deadpool and X23 have stronger healing factors because they don't have the same quantity of adamantium in their body. The healing factor becoming weaker of course makes the adamantium poisoning worse... It is a domino effect if we want.
@@ark1567 In the comics, his healing factor was held back by the adamantium. His was working constantly against it. Once Magneto tore it out of him, his healing factor became almost god-like. He healed injuries almost as fast as they were made.
No, the gene therapy corn syrup just prevents new mutants from being born. Logan is weak and dying because his healing factor has been constantly fighting heavy metal toxicity for 50 years.
I went and saw this at the theater. A movie about Wolverine that's supposed to be really good and it's R rated. I did NOT expect to come out of there feeling feelings. And X-23 is a whole-ass menace. Like Hit Girl, but with predatory instincts, healing and built in swords....and really, REALLY pissed off. The little girl that played her absolutely killed it as well.
On another note, I’m glad you appreciated this movie and also the turmoil that Logan had been through. Others will mention or probably already mentioned that from the origins movie, the prophesy of her seeing Logan dying with his heart in his hand; it’s Laura. In this particular movie they make a few references when Logan says, “Oh, so this is what it feels like.” Most people assume it’s because he’s dying for the first time, which is not true in the comics. Logan dies multiple times, but because he killed the angel of death in WWI on the battlefield when he was coming to harvest souls, he gets a second chance. He fights Abbadon every time he dies on a temporal plane and it’s just about Logan’s will to win and survive on if he comes back and his soul returns to his body. It changes later in the comics on a different arc that include Death (who Thanos and Deadpool are vying for). I do believe that Wolverine always knew he had a family and had felt on some level that love; so that concludes me to think he was talking about being a father when he made the comment. This movie was so quiet on the end and so many people were sobbing. I was teared up and sniffling, and it still always gets me some. Great reaction!
The main bad guy in movie is Donald Pierce, and his group was the “Reavers”. He was originally the White Bishop in the Hellfire Club; all very wealthy society and criminal enterprise. He plotted against lots of groups, and they hate certain nationalities, mutants, etc. and are essentially cyborg mercenaries with their own agenda. Wolverine is the reason that many of them are missing limbs because he was in a hurry in some battles and was merciful enough to not finish some of them off. They paired up with Lady Deathstrike, who also had a vendetta against Wolverine because of him killing her wealthy technological mogul, and got enhanced. It all gets much more complicated with some of the other timelines, but that’s the guy. Pierce is SUPER evil in the Age of Apocalypse timeline and you’d probably love his character there.
Loved your reaction as always. You should check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing
I absolutely love this movie. Watching Professor X go through his mental decline is harder to watch these days after Dad suffered the same illness, minus the mutant powers. The "Show me the pills" scene is so damn accurate and hilarious. So happy to see you react to this and can't wait for Wednesday!
This film hit hard for me. I remember renting 'X-Men' on VHS in my teens, while my parents went out for the night. Pulled the armchair right up to the TV like I was in the cinema. Loved the film and the potential it set-up with the ending. The sequels were very mixed.... but then LOGAN came in and gave a heartfelt and damn near perfect send-off to that run of films. Also the "X" grave marking at the end is one the best touches I've ever seen in a film.
I've never considered the Wolverine movies to be superhero movies. They're definite comicbook movies, but Origins is a revenge thriller, The Wolverine is a suspense noir, and Logan is neo-noir/modern western. It's one of my favorite movies and I'm extremely disappointed it wasn't nominated for Best Score.
I'm not really one for superhero movies, same shit different uniform kind of thing to me, but I loved Logan. To date, this and the Deadpool movies are the only ones I actually want to watch.
RIP Kris Kristofferson, if you haven't seen it Heaven's Gate is an amazing Western with him, Jeff Bridges, Christopher Walken, John Hurt and more. It's definitely slow/contemplative in parts but the action is brutal and feels very Red Dead 2 throughout.
This is a rough one ..just like ROUGE ONE..old school fans finally got the Darth Vader we wanted..we finally got the Wolverine we wanted after decades of waiting.... little girl is FIERCE in this... badass all the way .... terrible seeing Professor X in such a state... excellent movie 🔥✌️
3:10 to Yuma and Ford V Ferrari are two more amazing movies by this phenomenal director. Dude's great at making very different blockbusters. Jones I'm blaming on studio crap more than him
Thank you J for this reaction it was great now you can see deadpool and wolverine also if you have a minute I would like to ask you when will you continue the naked gun series and the rambo series also I would like to see you react to Scent of a woman Rudy And stand up guys Again great reaction can't wait for the next one 👍
First we got Hit Girl and now we get Laura. Is there something going on at y’all’s HQ? So many cold blooded teenaged girls it’s like I’m watching CrunchyRoll.
You have to see Dafne's audition. She blew everyone away, and even made a suggestion of mixing English with Spanish, for the no existo scene, which the director used.
Очень крутой фильм, мне очень нравится Logan (2017). Я ещё не смотрел Дедпул и Росмомаха (2024) мне кажется там будут тупые шутки про члены и т.д. фильм на один раз посмотрел и забыл.
The store they stopped at where she picks up her sunglasses. Is right outside Albuquerque NM and everytime I stop there I’m like, “I wanna ride the horse!” 😂😂 there’s no horse.
So to answer your question why is Wolverine dying and why charles xavier is having seizures and why there are no new mutants born in twenty-five years? And what happened to the X-Men. Doctor rice managed to develop an anti mutant agent drug and managed to inject food supplies, mainly corn syrup, which surpress their powers and also prevented other mutants from being born. Wolverine drinks whiskey a lot that also has corn syrup so over the years his powers were slowly stop working. Which could say the same thing for Charles he had a psychic seizure that killed all the X-Men and other mutants at the X Mansion.
why no solo movie with her? prolly cause likemost kid actors they get moody and lose their edge, least from what i seen her talent dropped, more like she is just collecting a check and really doesnt care about the job, no maximum effort haha, she rocked this role in this movie tho, that mean face oh man chills

it saddened me that liev schreiber couldn't reprise his role as sabertooth
We want to forget that movie ever happened. Hugh was the only actor we needed to see again.

This will break him like it did the rest of us and I'm here for it!
Can't believe that they took out 🎶Soul Glo 🎶 😢🤣🍻
Now you are ready for Deadpool 3.
Not everyone catches the implications of the news story on the radio after the casino. I hope he did because it’s a kick in the nuggets.

Since I haven't seen anyone comment about it, the guy with the cybernetic hand is Donald Pierce, leader of the Reavers group. He's in the comics.
X-24 can't speak yet because he's pretty much a baby. If you go back and look at his stats on his report, he's only like a year old.
Don't forget about Bruce Wayne having a hard time. Watched his parents get murdered when he was 8.
