  • In this video, I'm going to show you how to unlock Pacific Drive's RAREST Steam achievement/trophy, as only 0.5% of current players have collected it. It's called "Running On Empty", and to obtain this achievement, you're going to need to complete a run with at least two junctions, and with the car always having a low or empty fuel tank.
There's likely a few ways that you can complete this, but what we found the easiest was to research and craft the AMP Engine. Then, running our car fuel down until the fuel light turns on in the dashboard. From here, install the AMP Engine, add additional power sources like an XL Roof Battery, High-Capacity Batteries, and Side Batteries, and then plan an easy Route!
Check out some of the other helpful tips and tricks we highlight in this video as well. If you don't have time for the full video, use the chapters below to quickly and easily navigate to what you'd like to see covered!

Heads up, the first tier of engine is actually the MOST fuel efficient

@_xjr4449 Hey xj, thanks for the note here, that's a good call! 🤣🤣 That's my bad, I remember now that I meant to go back and check that and totally forgot. Not sure why I thought I saw what I did in terms of MPG 😳, but thanks for this!

This is also made easy but getting the extended full tanks. I went with one roof and a large seat. This makes is so your 'LOW' fuel not really low to the point that from empty you can use a full gas can and still be seen as running on fumes. If you want to no risk even adding gas as all the just the starting engine. No idea why that uses the least fuel in the game. Did this run at the same time as having no armor and not using the parking break

@LordRazer3 oh interesting, I just assumed that the reservoir and expanded tank increased capacity, but the "low fuel" light would come on at the same point regardless, and I didn't want to have to worry about running out of fuel or accidentally overfilling on the run. I think the starting Carburated Engine is the most fuel efficient as its the least amount of horsepower/speed, but yeah, seems kinda weird.
Thanks for the alternative options here though, it's definitely a cheaper option than making the AMP Engine!

@@friendlyfrenzygamesYep it's based on over all percent. Same for batteries it's easier to do the renewable power achievement with ONLY the cars main battery. The game sees gas as low when it's gas gauge is under 1/4 a tank or when pumping gas stopping at the end or C in "gas cap"

@@LordRazer3 yeah, Renewable Power makes sense. We stripped everything to complete that achievement, didn't realize about the gas though, that's an interesting note. Thanks for the added context here, Razer! Appreciate you taking the time to check this out and chatting with us! 🙌

@@friendlyfrenzygamesIt's all good anything to help other's driving the olympic peninsula! Just be careful leaving things lying around the garage floor it might eat any car parts laying around. I lost everything doing my achievement run. Luckily I had plenty of resources since I beat the game to get...almost everything back. Ran out of cloth of all things so...I guess it's time to test the tracking flood light since I can't make roof storage

@@LordRazer3 yeah, that floor vacuum works pretty well though for things that "go missing". I actually ran into bigger issues trying to swap panels/doors/side storage in the parts lockers. If your inventory and hands are full, you'll lose the parts outright 🤣 can't count how many armored pieces I lost.
I've completed the game now after about 50ish hours played. It was fun! Wish there was more of an endgame or reason to play, the problem with the run-based style survival is that once you've done enough to complete the game, there's not much left in terms of replayability sadly.

Is that steering wheel just a cosmetic or is it an upgrade?

@cadenjester893 Hey Caden, good eye! It's purely cosmetic.
      Thanks for checking this out!
