I stayed at that albergue at Monte de Gozo once. Was going to walk into Santiago but it was late in the afternoon, raining and the Camino was very busy that day. The next day was supposed to be cool weather and blue skies, so I decided to spend the night in that albergue. It was an interesting experience. The place looks like it could hold a few hundred pilgrims, but they only had one building open and there was about 30 of us total. Kinda ghost town looking. The hospitalera was very cool and the facilities were clean. The next morning we walked into the plaza early under beautiful blue skies, got our compostela's and breakfast.
@@Walk_with_Efren Also I didn't have reservations in Santiago, so that was a big factor in staying there. I didn't want to roam around Santiago in the rain for an hour looking for a place to stay, lol. Every other time I had reservations.
Can't believe you captured all that amazing drone footage around the Cathedral without being hassled. Love your work Efren, I've followed all your Caminos and quite simple, no one covers them better. Thanks Heaps!
Efren you have been the best part of quarantine. Im very glad to have discovered your vlog months ago after I had to cancel my Camino Portugese, I lived it through you though and got pulled into all your other adventures as well. I can't tell you what an impact your story telling has had on the way I focus my own lens. I'm truly grateful for your inspiration!
Great stuff again, you were lucky with a beautiful and warm late April day. On both my Camino finishes, I burst into tears in that amazing square (at the age of 73), it's a very emotional experience which I will revisit hopefully next year on the Via de la Plata.
@@Walk_with_Efren, exactly. Its worth celebrating. I already sent a screenshot of your toast to my friends who will do the camino with me. And after, vicariously walking with you through the entire camino del norte, I am now convinced that indeed is is the best. Less tour-grims, hahaha. Thank you so much. What a vicarious journey it was! Thanks again.
Congratulations on completing another part of the Camino! This seals it for us, we are planning to do the Norte for our big celebrations next year (25th Anniversary, 45th birthday, and 5 year Anniversary of our first Camino- the Frances). Your drone shots of the Cathedral up close are incredible. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Efrén, for letting us walking the Camino with you. It was both inspiring and heartwarming. My husband and I are planning our first Camino for next spring. Hope it will be possible. And I also hope we meet somewhere on your future caminos, my friend. After all, "Santiago no es el final del camino, es el principio."
Thank you for this series and to the YT algorithm for recommending you! Gracias hermano. I think you're doing the Plata now. I wish you safe travels. Buen camino!
¡Hola Efrén! Fantsztikus! You made it; of course you did there was no doubt in my mind! I wish you well on your further adventures & escapades! ¡Buen Camino! 👣🍷👍😎
Recently discovered your channel after meeting you on your in reverse Camino and I am so glad I did. El Norte is the first series I watched, and absolutely loved it. Thank you for these wonderful videos Efren!
Such a symbolic way to celebrate an arrival in Santiago incredible, I was there a month later showing my wife Santiago as she does not walk the Camino for medical reasons.
Thank you for this wonderful vlog Efren ! there is so much emotion in it, It really enforces my urge for doing it again. I remember that final day, I've walked slower than ever just to make it last a bit longer....
So happy to watch your journey. Thank you for sharing during this time when so many of us are prohibited from traveling. It's keeping my hopes alive for a fourth camino, maybe I'll try Norte next time, after walking the entire CF twice (2018 & 2019) and the CP (2018 from Porto).
Always gives me goosebumps every time I see that Cathedral and being in the piazza. I do hope I can see it again when we can travel again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful vlog, Efrén😍
Thank you so much for this journey. Last May, 2019, I was three weeks behind you coming north From the Via De La Plata. It gave me chills to watch your entry into the plaza. Each Camino I think is my last, but now I have to do the Norte, and also the Via Francigena which was canceled this May 2020. Buen Camino. Thank you again for your incredible vlogging talent. Stay safe and healthy.
Thanks for sharing your camino. I did the Norte from Gijon to Santiago in autumn of 2018 and this brought back a lot of memories. I was planning to do the Portugues in April this year but had to change plans like so many. I'm now looking forward to do it end of September this year starting from Porto and will also be checking your vlog on that one.
so glad you liked them. best of luck on the Portuguese. the coast is just beautiful. don't forget to do the variante espiritual. it takes just as many days.
Que gran final de tu camino del norte, gracias por el vlog. Haces un trabajo genial Efrén. Me espera el francés para el próximo año si todo va bien, mi primer camino y ya después el del Norte. Saludos 🌹🌹
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series Efren thanks for sharing your journey I look forward to your next adventure 🙌 and can't wait to do the Del Norte when travel permits hopefully in 2021 let's see 🏃
The big walking party is over. Closed with great views. Btw, have u been to the pilgrim's mass ? But waht really bugs me is the fact that it is possible to see u´r filming using a tripod that we don´t see it, except it's shadow. (Harry Potter ?)
thank you Mara. I did go to the mass and i was lucky to see the botafumeiro. it's on the camino Frances vlog playlist. as for the magic camera it is the insta360 one X. it erases the stick once the two halfs are stitched together.
"si saben como me pongo pa que me invitan???" Grande Noel jajajajajajajajaa q gracioso. Effren has llegado a ir a finisterre despues de terminar????? Por curiosidad mas que nada
Just to remind you : it is extremely rude and not acceptable to walk inside any church with your hat on. I did camino norte 3 years ago and it is really beautiful indeed.
it’s 2023 but we can still feel everything you put into these videos. I am excited to see your next Camino after Muxia.
thank you so much. after Muxia check out the via Podiensis in France: ruclips.net/p/PLVAiPQLcqYe1onsfV0Lxp8dBVv358YcpX

the trick is not to take off where you want to film. I flew from Parque da Alameda having a clear view of the cathedral.
Crying happy tears as I watch this. And I LOVE how celebratory you are, drinking along the Way to Santiago. :D
Man, I'm sad this is over.

Amazing, Efren. I've just watched the entire serie of Camino del Norte, as it will be my next. Your videos are so gooooodddd...
All hail to the Camino king!
the bag pipe gave me chills!!! oh how I miss the camino and I can't wait to be there again. Congratulations and buen camino
Thanks for the idea of the wine in a scallop shell. The drinking also romps up the excitement of reaching the destination.
no problem. I also did it at the Vatican on the via francigena.
