There's a trivia about the white beard's brazilian voice actor, he was an old guy who had some health problems, and the guy who was directing him (zoro voice) at the time white beard first appear on the anime wayyy back before marine ford knew that marine ford was going to take a while, so they already recorded all the voices for marine ford at that time... When they get to the point of everyone record marine ford the guy was too sicck to do it but the director already got the work recorded years ago and the guy couldn't work or pay his bills, so 'zoro' just marked the work as ''done'' and used the recordings and pay the guy to help him, years later (2024) the marine ford arch gets published os netflix dubbed in portugese and the guy had already passed away...'Zoro' Risked hiw job to help the guy in need.. So imagine for brazilians hearing a voice of a pretty important voice actor at his prime who already passed away being brought back to life to portrait a experienced pirate like white beard and ending his career with this kind of words like ''i've been traveling for a long time, it was a great voyage!' hey Sami! Did you know that Whitebeard's brasilian voice actor, Antônio Moreno, recorded all lines a year or so before the first ep he appears was released here? He was supposed to make Garp's voice at first, but this plan had to change because he got cancer and couldn't work at the time. After he got better, Glauco Marques the voice director, still wanted to find a character for Moreno to dub. But then the pandemic came and Moreno had more health complications, making it difficult to maintain consistency in his dubbing jobs. Meanwhile Glauco, watching the anime, saw that Whitebeard would be the perfect match for Moreno's voice, imagining and mimicing to how it would be. Hopping that Moreno's health would allow him to land his voice to this ammazing character. Unfortunetly it didn't seem taht things would get mutch better. Getting closer to each other, Moreno told Glauco how it was a hard to keep characters because his health was comming and going. Glauco then told Moreno about Whitebeard and how he thought his voice would be perfect for him, and showing the notes made when playing with the idea asked if Moreno would like to try to record the lines then. And in the span of two weekends he did. Taking his time, making pauses, doing it by bits, but nonetheless commiting to it. Antônio Moreno passed away three months after Witebeard's second appearance. But this year, when Marineford's brasilian dubbed version was released, he made his last stand along side Whitebeard immortalized in those lines. And I have to agree with Glauco that there is no better match. Rest in power Whotebeard and Antônio Moreno. (there's a whole vedeo of Glauco talking about it, but since he bring some events about the arc voice recording it may have spoilers. hope I could sum it up well enough)
yeah bro one piece isnt like every other shonen where the author just gives the main character free rage powerups to use when bad things happen, sucks for luffy but he just watched his brother die in his arms after fighting non stop and taking hormones to even keep him alive and moving multiple times, his body is giving up on him and his mind is completely shattered rn

The director asked him the favour to try dubbing the entire arc years before, while the dub was still around Enies Lobby. He got all the approvals and it became one of the first pre-recorded posthumous dubs to ever see the light of day. Basically, as Whitebeard dies, so dies the career of Antonio Moreno, as it was his last role, already posthumously. Very poetic and fitting.

Whitebeard quaked Akainu into the ground, Akainu got up and they exchanged blows (Whitebeard lost part of his face and Akainu took that quake to the ribs and fell).
I don't like how the subs translated the last line about how Whitebeard didn't have scars on his back it read weird. Basically its saying not only in the war but in his whole pirate life he never ran away from a fight. Even Luffy can't join that club.

This is just a theory but i think i read someone said that blackbeard have 3 souls in his body so that’s why he can have more than one devil fruit power. It’s just a theory that i read so it’s not yet confirmed
