Springs don’t do jack for shock relief, they just bounce the whole truck, tyres and all. Had a combination with leafs, got back to the yard, boss asked how the ride was, said it’s like driving an ungoverned yard mule. Air ride actually smooths the ride out. Hardly a point with eight, inch thick leafs, just make a solid axle.

Air ride is also self-leveling. The trailer will ride at the same height regardless of if you're empry or loaded.

I’ve been running with hopper bottom trailers air ride suspension and i do recommend, smoother ride. Springs are hard as rock damn it 🤣!

I've driven ten Crashcadia's with air ride steers and one, that I own, with spring ride. Not one of the Cascadias with air ride steers had problems maintaining alignment. However, the one I have with simple spring ride doesn't like to stay true.

I recently drove an air ride suspended tri axle dump truck. You got to know what the hell you dealing with when you are operating those things. The slower you drive, the safer you are with those things.
