- Meet my boo, Lincoln! And a big thank you to Mattel for sending me this amazing PR box with all four dolls from the new Barbie BMR1959 Wave 2 Collection! I'm thrilled to debox them with Lincoln!
The BMR1959 Collection celebrates Barbie's fashion heritage. These dolls are wearing streetwear inspired fashion looks as designed by Carlyle Nuera. Though I'm not much of a streetwear type of guy, I can appreciate the work and creativity that went into these dolls. It's fun to see how diverse, inclusive, and dynamic they all are.
The shoebox packaging is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and made from materials that have been responsibly sourced. So cool!

About the dolls, first of all thank you for the info about the name BMR1959 I mean I didn't know the whole name of Barbie and I've had Barbie dolls since I was 3 years old so...😅 I just got one of the wave 1 and when I saw their promotional photos (wave 2) they didn't like me to be honest but in hand they are so beautiful. I adore the boy, he's awesome.

I actually really like the BMR dolls, I have the entire first wave collection, and I hope to get these as well. I think future collectors will really like these dolls, because they're distinctive from the rank-and-file product, the mermaids and princesses and whatnot. I think my favorite of this collection is the dark-skinned Petite girl with the pinky-violet hair.
