Maybe turn down the background music next time, and maybe change it or ultimately remove it. Very nice tutorial dude. Looked my friend's model up because he needs help cleaning his lappy. Much thanks.

@ thanks :) I appreciate the help. My brother is going to get me some thermal paste on the way to pick it up for his kid, I'll do everything else before he gets here so I can just add the paste and put it back together. He won't have long to hang around because we all live a long way from each other so I nearly decided to just dust it out and not worry about the paste but I feel like it'll be a poor gift if it overheats and shuts down when he tries to run a decent game lol.
Usually works loudly due to dust. I don't remember if these fans are breaking up. Try removing the stickers and lubricating them. Some fans are without clamps and are easy to remove. If neither option is suitable just spray grease or replace the fan.
@ I clean them perfect with compressor didn't work .. tries to lube but mine does not have any stickers, I guess it's capsuled, I tried to pull the fans but it's not held by magnets...on the back there are tiny holes but they don't lead to the rotors but to the mother boards. Every fan has one...so I guess the smart engineers made it like that, so when this happened to buy brand new fan ....

To specify, Lenovo has this horrible practice of hiring indian workforce because of that, you participate in what's called a quality bad lottery, in which (on this model for example) they skip materials and bios installation, so while the hardware is dope, me for example, I pulled the lottery, and I have a model with no RGB keyboard, with lacking bios, which don't allow me to use the SSD internal slot, the dual ram slot, and not to mention multiple erros in other drivers that can't be fixed. Before I knew this I ended up buying a lenovo ideapad for my mother and a tablet. And you know, for even someone elder to complain about how slow a pc is with a good processor and ram, then you know that indian handicraft is that filled with bad practices.
Thank you so much, the best tutorial I have ever found.

How important is the thermal paste change? Giving my old one to my nephew and it's pretty backed up with dust.
dust and old thermal paste make cooling difficult, so there is a risk of overheating

@ I finished the repair this morning and it is on it's way to my nephew good as new 😃
Thank you sir :)
What's the purpose of the black patch that you re-stucked on the cooling and the heat pipe?
it was there originally, so I put it back, if the manufacturer put it there, it must be necessary
@ I also assume so, but it's a bit strange. My best guess is thermal insulation, but I could be wrong.
@@ezahpme maybe, i don't know
I didnt put it back...since the glue sticked and seemed to not make sense 🤷
is it okay to not reapply the paste thing 7:38 , bcs I don't have it
No, bad. Without paste there is a risk of overheating
It is very dangerous, you have to put it if you don't want to loose your laptop. You can find paste almost in every computer shop
@ i didnt remove my existing thermal paste, do i still need to reapply??

Is it possible not to remove the battery? my laptop fan is not working and i dont want to take off the batter to replace the fan.
The fan can be replaced without removing the battery. The battery is removed for safety reasons. The risk is small but there is.

Ar imanoma pakeist procesoriu ant tokio pacio laptopo.
Viskas įmanoma. Tik čia procesorius lituojamas ir namų sąlygomis labai sunku tą padaryti.
