USA went with punk and new wave.. Italy evolved their disco music into this futuristic intelligent thought provoking music.. I can just image the colorful characters of the Italy italo disco Scene.. I bet it was loads of fun
This is the "Extended Edit" version, released on Flexx Records in 2006. The original version is about 5 minutes long, from the LP "We Are The Crazy Gang" released in 1983
@@poupipouti3847 Perhaps the high pitched children-like-choir reminds him of "Another brick in the wall?", other than that I also don't see any connection whatsoever. And there's nothing Moroder in this.
Ah an 8 minute track. When I first listened to this song and the chorus kicked in around 2 minutes 40 I hoped the track wouldn’t end in under an extra minute like many songs do. When I checked and saw a total of 8 something minutes damn it was the cherry on top!
Clicked on this out of curiosity, not disappointed.
Siriusly Epic Entertainment.
First time I ever heard this song, brilliant.
Worst thing about this song is it ends.
So apparently Get Lucky sampled this song, I’m not even mad this sounds SO GOOD
This is amazing! I freaking Love this.

Dios mío que canciónzota
absolutely original and raw vocoder track
Absolutely essential
Обожаю симонетти и такой олдовый, электронный звук
Super
This tune is ridiculously amazing. It's like the definition of the word melancholy (but in a good way). Claudio Simonetti was an absolute genius.
I dont like school, I think the teachers a fool, try to make me go to church on sunday
very nice.
The Italo Disco "Another Brick in the Wall"
Excellent analogy
They're still active in Italy, some years ago they opened a dance school in Rome!
GATH Bro!!!

"I can't wait to become a man
then I'll choose where to go every Sunday"
Damn. This song knows how I feel.
+rawrvintageisclassic
"no-one else seems to understand
I can't even defend myself, so sad"
I'm with ya. The world needs more conscious electro. More vocoder songs about hating religion and school!
people think lady gaga is talent. music started it's slow decent around 85

Italo zombies still alive in year 2019
It continued on until the 80s. Mainly with the Italian disco scene and this is indeed Italo-Disco style!

I wonder what they're using to get that clap... that's not just a 808 or 909...
Sounds like it could be a Linn Drum
+celestinocamicia I stand corrected: as per the album notes, it was an Oberheim DMX

No way , italian way.
Ну странно было бы в 83-м другой услышать. Тогда все на FM синтезе сидели, а у него как раз такой металлический звук.
Disco was 1970's
In USA it ended in the eighties.. Not in Italy.. It evolved
