This was the 1st 48 track recording ever made. And this is not the full version...it is just the first two acts. The flip side of the LP has acts 3, 4 and 5, which in my opinion are the best parts of the song, which is over 30 minutes in total.

I lived in the discos in the 70s. I can still dance to all the excellent music - we can all still live in disco by listening and dancing to it now. It never ends for many of us.
the album had 4 movements like a symphony; this is movement one; a masterpiece. I was there in 1979.
This is the best disco classic masterpiece I've ever heard! I am glad my cousin introduced this to me way back in the 80s, when I was a kid, I never get tired of listening to this track!!!

I lived it & dj’d for 7 yrs during the disco craze. This was by far the best disco song to dance to hands down. Danced every minute of it. Talk about being in shape!! While this song was playing would leave my cove & go dance on the floor with others. Dance wise.... the best 7 yrs of my life. Still listen to reel to reels’s of the disco music I recorded while working! If you call it that. Summer, Hernandez, & on & on!! Would re-live it in a heart beat!!

I remember hearing this for the first time when I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC in 1978. We’d hang out at the Wachovia Bank Building on Friday’s for our weekly dose of disco.

I bought 12" vinyl when it first came out and recorded it on cassette & played both over and over. A true classic if there ever was one! Still enjoying it over and over. A literary classic to music.

OMG! I was listening to an FM station and disco songs were playing. This song just popped into my head and now I'm hearing it on RUclips. We've come a long way people. No internet back then, just pure fun and dancing. I remember being at Booker T Washington Jr. HS. Brings back so many good memories: good times, good friends. It was awesome and innocent. Wish I could go back in time. Inspirational!!!

Thanks for putting this up - the last time I heard this was when it came out in 1978! Over the years, none of the people I asked recalled this song. This is one of the best arranged disco song for that era.
I learned how to disco dance to this album. Alec R. Costadinos also released The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I loved them both.

70's memories were stirred up big time when this song came on the radio yesterday. I had to find it on here. This was one of my favorite jams back in 1978 and 1979. An awesome hustle song. By the end of the song , with switching partners, with guys cutting in, I may have danced with 5 or 6 different dancers during this one long song. I loved every minute of it. Thank you!

My dance partner, Michael & I won 1st place at a dance contest with this song. It was Awesome cause we danced against couples from as far as Sacramento down to L.A. We of course were representing San Diego. We won an all expense paid vacation to Cabo San Lucas! God how I MISS DISCO MUSIC! IT HAD MEANING, FEELING & A GOOD RHYTHM...NOT LIKE THE CRAP THAT IS BEING PLAYED NOW.

We're a progressive metal band, but I continually tell anyone who will listen (and some who won't) that this is not only the GREATEST DISCO song of all time, but an absolute masterpiece across any genre! Everything about it is truly unbelievable; the arrangement, the musicianship, the changes, the vocals, the complexity...And let's not leave out the obvious, it's over 15 minutes long, and you not only never get bored, but you're sad when it's over! I was thrilled when I was able to pick up a mint condition copy of it on vinyl about 10 years ago!
More people need to spread the word about this amazing treasure! It's a shame it's not nearly as well known as other far inferior songs of its era!

I lived it and danced to it every night at the disco. DJ’d for 7yrs. Best 7 yrs dance wise of my life. Ones who said disco sucked were just jealous cause they couldn’t dance. Don’t know what they missed!! Just to be a Cinderella, & go back one night!!!
This was a Disco Classic that was longer than 15 minutes and every time you danced to it you never wanted it to end. Studio and The Cops played it over and over.
