What a thrill to see how differently another person approaches the same idea, to see how they think about it, the reasons behind the decisions, the final choices--all of it--and finally, the work of art is revealed! Thank you for this experience.
Absolutely stunning work🎨. Your Gelli Plate Journal is brilliant! I appreciated your videos and I am grateful you share your talent. Thank you for another fantastic journey.😀
Your teaching background certainly gives this video coherence and increased value. PM Studio is fun for the easy interplay of comments betwixt P & M. If you were to do a collaboration, I would be a definite viewer. The Chicago trip is likely to be a shot in the arm for you and thus for your viewers. Full speed ahead. P.S. Seeing the final outcome of this accordian book will be a treat.
Ceri: this accordion book reminds me of small Japanese screens that are used for decorations. The Japanese screens are slimmer, but it is the same concept. Really love this creative project. It’s so colorful. Carol from California
Hey Ceri! I love how this came together! The black is such a compliment to the colors of your gelli prints. I have made similar before including one I made using subway sandwich bag that I folded accordion style after covering it with gesso and adding a bit of color. That was long before I had a gelli plate... now I'm thinking how fun it would be to try printing on a long bag using the gelli method. Maybe you can beat me to it😉❤
Mr Ceri I am so happy to see this tutorial. Accordion books were depicted in a series I watched about the Qing Dynasty of China. They were so beautiful and I wasn't sure where to begin to make my own--now I am. Thank you and God Bless
I just made a small accordion book today, linking 4 tags together. I haven’t tried book binding tape yet. My tags had a mixed media background with some Victorian scrap focal images glued on them. Love the idea of a black base to highlight gelli prints!
Love, Love, Love what you did. I would love to have a go at making one. Using the black just made the prints pop! So gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing. ♥️
Oh Ceri, you are such a "hoot". A "dealer in Vegs", lol. I love it and I bet you would be great at it too. I love your jelly prints. I did wonder what I would do if I made them. Now you have given me a great way to use them. I have seen these accordion books before, but I had no idea how to make them. Thanks for a new project. I have watched P.M Studio videos and I think they are so talented. Their stencils are unique too. As always, the journeys you invite us on are insightful, delightful, and filled with wonder!!! Thank you so much Ceri for your time and sharing your talents!!! Yay for lives. Many blessings to you and yours.
I started watching this when it first came out... it has taken me two days. I am so sorry, it has been a nutty weekend. I love love your accordion and you have really done a most wonderful job on it. Big Hugs and looking forward to the Zutter spiral-bound book!💖 I usually use my Bearly Art Glue / PVA mix. but the glue stick is definitely a good way to go as well. You are so kind thank you for all the love and yes you got the Makers of Mixed Media Art/Artist right.
Ceri, I love the concertina book! I was thrilled when you switched the purple and blue around on the top row and love the darker blue on the bottom! This turned out beautifully! I may have to try a concertina book. I like how it can stand up, a beautiful way to put pictures up of our 3 grandchildren. Thank you for sharing the challenges your OCD brings to your artistry. Some people would try and hide it. You put it out there and it's part of who you are, which your subbies love! You are a ray of brilliance in my day! Thank you for sharing with us your story, positivity, support, knowledge, talent, art and everything else! Thanks for being you! Hugs from South Dakota, USA. TFS!
Thank you so much for sharing your process for making tickets. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, & I am now inspired to make some right now! New subscriber from Ireland.
Shirley there are so many clever things you can do with a Gelli plate, but make sure you watch a lot of different videos before have a go as a gel plate can be an expensive investment.
What a beautiful project! I learn so much from watching your processes, Ceri. Do you think there is any alternative to bookbinding tape? I'm not sure how easy that would be to get hold of in South Africa.
Love it! I hope you have a delightful day. Love&hugs to you and Biscuit.
Thank you, hugs from us both.

Purple & Orange is such a glorious combination!
Not a combination I’d normally choose but yes glorious.

I think is a great idea 💡 well done fun like you say 😁
Thank you
I really enjoyed this video, Ceri. I don't really know anything about gelli plating. I'll look it up.
Shirley there are so many clever things you can do with a Gelli plate, but make sure you watch a lot of different videos before have a go as a gel plate can be an expensive investment.
❤❤❤
Thank you
They look so beautiful on the black background. I love your gelli printing but I don’t have the space for all the materials.
Thank you……..they trouble is with anything you enjoy creatively it usually ends up taking over every surface and spare minute of your day.
I loved watching you do this, Mister Ceri! And yes, Book Tape does NOT mess around! Which brand did you buy?
It just said book tape on the website and no brand name.
What a beautiful project! I learn so much from watching your processes, Ceri. Do you think there is any alternative to bookbinding tape? I'm not sure how easy that would be to get hold of in South Africa.
I think you could do the same with strips of thin fabric glued into place with a fabric glue, it would add another visual element to the project.
@@CeriGriffiths Love that idea!! Thanks Ceri!
Are your gelli plate sheets digital in your etsy store? Love them need them!
Sandy I’ve plans to digitalise some of them but it’s not done yet.
Ooh man, the anxiety is palpable!
Yeah I got a little frustrated at one stage as I couldn’t make order of the colours and then just had to let go….way my mind works.
