Diamond eye has a very reasonable exhaust. It has lasted me,in salt country and running in it, 4 years,but I cleaned and painted the non stainless one. But, Rob, I wish you were around years ago when I got started into diesels. Great info man for alot of guys who are getting started.
The best mod I ever did after the dowel pin was timing for mileage . I run 17. 5 or 18 . Huge difference in mileage . The mods you recommended I done also along with the 215 injectors and the thin washers . I really appreciate your videos .

10/4 on the gov springs. Had a ‘94 manual trans, deleted the fuel plate first and was somewhat disappointed that the power increase wasn’t bigger. Then I did 3k springs. WOW did she wake up. Felt like twice the horsepower
Did 4k and lightened the valve train with Hamilton 165 spring kit, while I was in there did the pushrod cover seal and slid my fuel plate forward. World of difference!!! Next summer is the nv4500.....5th gear
I just watch your video over n over, my 97 fl60 frightliner cabriolet, has 71k and p pump max rpm is 2500, I need more out of it. But safe conservative ish, what do you think I start
new to tuning 12 valves- i purchased a 97 and it came with the "adjuster by attitude" cable operated rack adjuster.. whats your view on it? go/no go? I got a ton of stuff to build this 12 valve too

Depending on wear in cylinders- a freshen up on short block.. i got a brand new head, if i can squeeze 400-450 hp out of it with a compound setup- stick with a stock grind cam or a stage 1 or 2? Its going to be a daily/ tow truck for my race car trailer and a few heavy hauls. Thanks for your reply. Any input is greatly appreciated. Im no stranger to the automotive machine shop so i am mechanically inclined

Yes diamond eye is a good option. I was again just not on videos yet. I wanted to be on you tube 5-6 years ago. But just never made myself do it.

To start I would do
Governor spring kit 3k to start
Add some timing to 16-17
Move you fuel plate ahead, just make you you keep an eye on the egt’s
@CUTTERUP ROB I'm a bit confused as to how to timing 16-17 advance, is that moving the plate towards the rad or that wheel turning to the motor?
Ok I see a bunch of #0 to #11 fuel plate , what would be a safe number to go with
What fuel plate did you go with or what all did you do with your truck? We have a rollback with a 12 v Cummins and Eaton 5 speed.

They do work. But limit the over all rack travel. So depends on how much power you want

Hard to tell. The rpm springs don’t really add power just change the power curve

you can , but you can float valves and is the boost / drive pressure is high you have have issue with power loss
