You’re right……I purchased a 20000 power bank to use at night and when I’m parked during the day at work. I plug my dash cam in the cigarette lighter when I’m driving and when I park I plug it into the power bank for continuous recording. I charge the powerbank in the USB port when driving also. It runs fine even when it’s hot, it reached 103F and works fine. Not sure how it will work this winter but I will see. Haven’t had any problems yet.
1. How long does a standard Dashcam actually LAST using a Car Battery, on standby.... (general idea)? I.E. before the cam shuts down due to the battery draining prevention feature? 2. Even if a Dashcam is "hard" on a car battery (the constant charging), spending $400 for just ONE of these batteries, for one camera/device is crazy. You can get a $100 Walmart battery that generally lasts around 5 years (and that's with defective vent sensors always clicking), and instead replace it every 3 years or whatever for much cheaper than you'll likely use/keep that dashcam battery for.
A lot of the reviews on the type of batteries that you are showing here, say that the battery do not last as long as they claim, and that some of them have completely stopped working. I see these reviews everytime I go to the products where they are being sold. So, it does not sound like they are any more durable than a regular backup battery.
I am trying to do the research before I invest in one of these! I can see getting the battery and have it installed. The problem is from the battery to the camera all the install kit I can find have battery drain protection which makes no sense for doing this type of installation! (What’s the work around? Or do you have any idea? As I assume that’s why you use the cigarette lighter adapter. I have the van true E3 (any help would be appreciated )
Can't wait till all of these items are over priced addons in my next car., and then the first recalls after they burn down down someone's house in DC ..lol But hey gotta love the whole cam thing.
I purchased a power bank for a fraction of the cost to use at night and when I park. I plug my dash cam in the cigarette lighter when I’m driving (I also charge the power bank when I’m driving in the USB port). When I park I plug it into the power bank for continuous recording. Haven’t had any problems with the heat the highest temperature so far was 103F will see how it works in the winter…..may have to buy a second one which is still cheaper and don’t have to get anyone to install the black box. I guess that’s my economic way of getting what I want 🤣😂🤣
I love the powerbanks for parking mode. A 12 volt while driving then swap over to the powerbanks when parked. Shieded usb cables is the only requirement.
These don't work well below freezing. A lot of lifpo batteries are placed in insulated and heated enclosures as using in cold conditions will make the batteries unusable.
I’ve left a message with them. You’re right. They only have the extension pack and not the main battery pack available. Will update you when I hear back.
@@EverydayReviews2022 I contacted BLACKBOXMYCAR.COM as I purchase my dash cams through them and I asked them the status of when that battery pack will be available. They said they are waiting on the chips to arrive that are placed inside of it. Until then, they recommend the CELLINK NEO BATTERY PACK. Hope this helps. Good video by the way.
Because some car manufacturers believe that most consumers don't care about having a dash cam. I personally don't know anyone that has a dash cam in their vehicle.
@@ericjones363 ... That's more of an "education" issue rather than it being something people "wouldn't" actually care about. I don't know very many people who are actually educated about them wouldn't in fact WANT to have them, especially full coverage.
I 100% don't need a battery that's more expensive than the actual dash cam omg 😂😂😂

Perhaps these should come with a small solar panel to keep them charged more.
Good idea. If you drive everyday you’d be fine.
This is good. Thank you!

Please how do I do this
Is it now called the BE-750?
Is it compatible to all dash cams

No batteries work well below freezing.

Why dont car manufacturers integrate video recording with their vehicles?
Some of them are starting to.

more options = more money
This is good information but THIS BATTERY IS VERY EXPENSIVE which makes it less affordable and practical.
Is this dude getting paid by these companies? Does he even uses them
make no sense to pay for battery as much as dashcam costs
Liar ! It only lasts 5 years! That’s it!!! Bcoz it is a lipo battery!!
money wasting !!
