Awesome Review! Definitely something I’m interested in to add with a Dash Cam. I’m interested in full coverage (driving/parked) due to so many car jacking and catalytic converters being stolen. Thanks for sharing… I’m just learning
Need the three wire output hardwire with the ACC trigger wire. Works great in the B124X park mode now works instantly when engine off. No more relying on camera G-Sensor to wait for no movement to start park mode. Two wire output was no good in traffic, toll booths, etc.. putting cameras in park mode.
Happy to have found your video. Could you please provide details on how you installed the cameras for full coverage? Also, which cameras you'd suggest for driving and parked mode.
Hi I was wondering is it possible for the battery to charge by an external battery pack? Also is there dash cams that constantly record even when parked? I want video footage saved 24/7 not just when someone walks by or when damage is inflicted on the car.
So you’ll need to hardwire the dashcam to your vehicle or buy an external battery like the Cellink 8 or B-124X for Parking Mode. I recommend an external battery to power the dashcam while you’re parked rather than your own car battery even though it’ll stop pulling amps from your car at a set point.
Since I don't drive my truck for days at a time, I've been thinking of flush mounting a 100w -200w solar panel into the lid of my bed mounted toolbox. Then use the solar panel to basically top off one of these Powercell batteries/ and keep it charged while I'm not driving the truck frequent enough. I'd also like to use the battery with a extra piggyback pack for a couple other accessories that can drain truck battery including some alarm sensors and a wifi hotspot dedicated for the Connected App.
Hi mate I have a blackvue dr900x plus with lte module,I only drive my car 1s aweek so its parked 6 days aweek,I want it to record only when movement is detected and do i need a back up battery pack if so what do you recommend please thank you.
I feel like a moron because I have 3 cars and hardwired all 3 dash cams using the car battery. But I can’t figure out how to wire this. I have a hardwire kit that came with my dash cam. It has one wire to acc and one to always on fuses. Am I tossing that away and using the hardwire kit that came with the battery? I know one connection goes to the dash cam and connection 2 goes to the accessory fuse. Does the third wire plug into the battery instead of the always on fuse? I would assume so. So it’s gotta be a pretty long wire to run from under the seat to the fuse box AND then to the dashcam. Does that sound right? I’m sure when it arrives in a few days I’ll be able to figure it out. Not using any lighter plug. Thanks.
You fuse tap the power cable from the parking mode battery. That’s it. Then just run your dashcam power cable with the cigarette adapter to that battery. All set. Do you have IG? Send me a message and I’ll send you pictures that might help
great video: not a geek but when you set the battery pack w/hardwire - when the battery pack is low how does it get recharged - starting the car engine???
It only charges when the vehicle is on, so once the battery is low or drained you’ll have to drive. Normal driving will charge it quickly, so day to day you’re fine
Hi I just bought the Black Vue DR900X-2CH plus I also got the power magic pro with it my question to you is do I still need the battery and I would like to buy the 2-side cameras which brand camera would you recommend getting thank you.
The PMP drains from your car battery but shuts off when it gets low. The separate battery which I recommend doesn’t affect your car battery at all. I’d skip the PMP and get a B-124X to power the camera when parked. Just get another Blackvue dashcam for your sides. You’ll place the front cam on one side and the rear on the other.
Alright, I’m taking you up on your offer of walking me through your 360 degree camera setup. Also, Joe Solis helped me with 22 in Vossens recently for my SRT. Thanks for the tip.
OK for my front and rear setup I’m using a BlackVue DR750X-2CH LTE PLUS with a B-124X battery plus add on battery for Parking Mode. For the sides I have a DR900X-2CH for my side windows in the back. That one is backed up by a Powercell battery from BlackBoxMyCar.com for Parking Mode. If you search my channel there’s a video showing how it’s setup
@@EastCoastJeepSRT thank you. I searched for a setup video because I figured you’d done one, but I couldn’t find it. I’ll search again … I probably just skipped over it. Where did you mount the side to side camera that is in the back? Sorry for all the questions but my daughter is a college student in Nashville and she is driving my 2016 SRT, and I’m concerned about it getting stolen. I’m thinking cameras are a good idea, but I’d be all ears if you have an alarm system you’d recommend… or a combination of both.
@@EastCoastJeepSRT disregard my last question. Found the video you were talking about AND found your video on Carlock. Might give that a shot ... just wish there was a 2nd OBD Connector in the Jeep (maybe in the back) that was less conspicuous.
No way! For less than the price of this, you can get Jackery 300 with 294wh, or a 500 for a few bucks more, and get 500wh . And they will power everything in your car.
