This night there was a buzz that someone HUGE was going to show up and my then husband insisted that I go with him. 1987, small San Fernando Valley venue the size of a family restaurant. Standing room only. He comes out and we all go crazy. About 10 minutes in, he spots me leaning against the wall and because he could see that I was very pregnant (8 months) and barely holding myself up, invites me to come sit on the stage, which I did. I literally sat on the stage floor next to the speaker for the remainder of the set. One of the biggest thrills I've ever experienced. By the way...Sheila E was on drums.

I was at the concert @ Madison Square Garden in NYC, during the Coming To America tour. When Prince kicked Kim Kharshadian off of the stage. Here's what happened: Al Sharpton, and Chris Rock we're also in the audience as well. Prince was randomly picking people from the audience to come up on stage to dance with him for a few minutes. One by one he was picking older women, black and white. So then he decided to invite Kim up on stage. She was walking very slowly up the steps, So Prince went to the steps took her hand to help her up. Prince did mentioned something about her being sexy as she was coming up the stairs in her tight fitting dress. When she got on stage Prince started dancing in front of her. She just stood there trying to whisper something in Prince's ear. Prince tried several times dancing around her to get her to dance. She just stood there looking stupid. When she didn't move, that's when Prince asked her to get off the stage. He then pointed her the edge of the stage and took her hand and walked her back to the steps where she came from. Then Prince waved his hand at her as if to say later for you. She deserved what she got. I heard that she cried backstage because Prince didn't flirt with her.

One by one he was picking older women, black and white. So then he decided to invite Kim up on stage. She was walking very slowly up the steps, So Prince went to the steps took her hand to help her up. Prince did mentioned something about her being sexy as she was coming up the stairs in her tight fitting dress. When she got on stage Prince started dancing in front of her. She just stood there trying to whisper something in Prince's ear. Prince tried several times dancing around her to get her to dance. She just stood there looking stupid. When she didn't move, that's when Prince asked her to get off the stage. He then pointed her the edge of the stage and took her hand and walked her back to the steps where she came from. Then Prince waved his hand at her as if to say later for you. She deserved what she got. I heard that she cried backstage because Prince didn't flirt with her.

I loved Prince and his music! Just real, authentic and genuine. A true one of a kind. Was at an LA Coliseum concert in the early 80’s where the idiots standing in front of the stage threw stuff at him and his band when they were preforming. Was before he got big, and I’ll have to say he got the last laugh because he went on to become an international phenomenon! RIP Prince!
