I do remember, Prince only agreed to release Hit & Run with Sean Carter for Tidal , he wanted the entire catalogue but of course P was never gonna do that , then he acted entitled after Prince was killed, they also released Beyoncé’s Lemonade album on the day he died in I’m not mistaken. All I know is there’s something called “The Prince Effect” referring to a artists record sales greatly increased after their death, in Prince’s case the revenue is still much more than it was when he was alive, kinda makes you look at every accidental overdose or drowning… a little differently.

Prince was blessed with the ability to NOT be easily impressed or dazzled. Too many artists give up everything (including common sense) when they get blinded by all the glamour, glitz and opulence presented by the likes of record labels, moguls and Hollywood. For Prince to be impressed he had to see proof of talent and so on. I can see why he was the total enemy of the industry topkicks. He saw all the BS that was painted up to look like gold.

    • @kaitlynkarol4600
      @kaitlynkarol4600 Месяц назад +31

You have valid points but this also doesn't mean that Prince was not a sell-out too. He just sold out a diff way. I wish to God ppl would stop all the binary thinking of 'all-or-nothing/ either-or' BS, w/out using enough common sense and logic to include the necessary nuance. Just b/c Prince wasn't as impressed w/ all the glamour as much as others in the biz tend to be doesn't mean he wasn't impressed enough to live in a place like Paisley Park! He was rolling in the glam - so pls, let us cut the BS! Sometimes ppl just 'act' like they're not affected but that doesn't mean anything and we don't know their personal feelings b/c how would you? You barely know your own family or your own mind and desires!
Prince was very arrogant in his own way and had his own ego issues & he made that VERY OBVIOUS if you were paying attention back in the day. Prince also was quite brainwashed too - was a Jehovah's Witness and that is very culty! He didn't just drink the koolaide, he got DRUNK on it but it was another brand of Koolaide. But hey, Koolaide is Koolaide so just b/c it comes in a wide variety of flavors doesn't mean it's any less a poison! LOL! He did what he had to do too to be in that lofty of a position - believe facts!
Also, he was quite abusive to many women - including several ex-girlfds who blabbed later that he was a narcissistic controller and was very jealous and manipulative of his women. He also wrote a scathing song about Cindy Crawford b/c when she was an escort, one time she refused to hook up w/ him and that turn-down made him write the revenge-based song 'Cindy C'. Go download the lyrics if you don't know about that one.
Talent has nothing to do w/ integrity or character, so these two areas need to be judged separately. Some of the most talented ppl in the world are mafia/ gang ppl. One does not cancel out the other or depend upon the other to be true or relevant. Most of the heavy hitters at the top have to do something to compromise themselves or they don't get to play on that high of a level. It's just simple facts. Maybe the industry will change a lil bit for us outsiders one day but until then, this has always been the name of the game. You have to play their game or you don't get the success. Prince just played the game in a more clever subtle way w/ a side eye glance and most ppl believed he was 'untouchable' - and what a joke! But there are many ways to skin a cat as the old saying goes, so let's not be so freakin' naive. :)

I saw Prince in concert 27 times and even got to meet him a few times. That was the cleanest living most holistic brotha on the planet. The powers that be killed him. Prince became addicted to pain killers due to issues with his hips and ankles from years of very athletic performances in high heels. Those issues are why you saw him using a cane. Mayte said recently that she realizes now that he had 2 close calls with ODing when they were still together, but she didn't understand that's what was happening at the time as he kept his pain killer use on the DL. Sheila E has also talked about the issues with his hips and ankles. He is reported to have put off a much needed double hip replacement due to his religious beliefs, until 2010. He only used painkillers because he desperately needed them to function, and he didn't want anyone to know. That's how he ended up with counterfeit painkillers laced with fentanyl, because they were obtained on the black market. It's incredibly sad, but it's happened to many. May he rest in peace.

For those who question this, you are overlooking something. The 2 things these people have in common is that they went against the system, and they died of an apparent overdose of some kind. Do you think of investigating others in the music industry who were just as bad if not more addicted to drugs? A lot of them became senior citizens before our very eyes. By your way of thinking, people like Ozzie Osborn, Steve Tyler, Led Zeppelin with both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page still around, The Rolling Stones, with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, as well as the numerous hair bands of the 80's who still perform as senior citizens. Nobody has said there are no legitimate overdoses, but a pretty large portion of artists were in a fight against the industry. Ozzie has probably done more drugs than any other human being in the history of the world, and he might be senile now, but he is still kicking. There are clues everywhere like Jim Morrison who hated Mick Jagger with a passion. Was it just because they were rivals? I don't think so.

When his murders are behind bars, whoever it was,...I finally can start to really mourn. I never doubted he was murdered. He was to pure to be that thoughtless with his health.
Even with him gone from our world,...he still fights the industry! As long as it takes to bring it down....
...but another part of me says, he is still alive! What if he pretended his own dead to protect himself for evil people?
The last time I saw him...exactly two month before his dead...he said to us, the audience...he loves Australia..."maybe I should buy a house here...".
    We loved that idea!
He died in an elevator. Exactly on the 21th of April. When sometimes it snows in April was released. Coincident? The elevator...he said represents the devil! Maybe clues he gave us?
I wish he is still with us. Somewhere far away and protected. Yea...that would be a real blessing!

I've visited Paisley Park twice. Once when he first passed and again a few months ago. The first time his urn was there in a mini model of Paisley Park that they lowered from the ceiling☔️ in a requested moment of silence. 80% of his home was blocked off with black curtains but the elevator was still visible. The second time was a completely different experience. The elevator was gone🫡.. like wtf?? As if it never existed. I knew exactly where it was as it demanded it's space in my memory and his presence wouldn't let me take my eyes off it. They also moved his remains from Paisley as well. When I asked the guide about it he looked shook that I even asked and said he's guessing it was the wishes of Prince's family. I probably should've felt happy and excited when visiting Prince's home but I couldn't shake the feeling of loneliness, loss and confusion. Every room I walked in immediately had me in tears. My heart always has and always will bleed purple💜

Prince was my hero growing up! I used to watch purple rain every day when I got home. I went on to dance college with aspirations of one day becoming one of his dancers. Thanks to his inspiration I had the most amazing career (unfortunately not as one of his dancers) but traveling the world dancing on cruise ships. I don’t know if I would have pursued that career without his inspiration.
I owned all his main stream albums (then later found there was so much more of his work out there..) He changed his name to the symbol in defiance, he wanted out of his contract etc. I adored this man. To say his death was devastating is an understatement!
There will never be another Prince! I still love and listen to his music but there’s always that pang of sadness when I do. Knowing that he’s not here to create more is such a loss to the world. He did so much more than most people realise as he wasn’t loudly credited for a lot of his work.
A very close friend of mine met him on a couple of occasions. He worked security in a top London nightclub and only had amazing things to say about him. Prince wasn’t arrogant or rude and he disliked anyone who was. He definitely didn’t suffer fools. The club had a piano and when it closed Prince would stay and play for hours just for the people who worked there.
I really wish I’d had the opportunity just to meet him once, or listen to him play on the piano for hours in that empty club.
The world is a darker place without him in it but am eternally grateful for the light he shone when he was.
I’m sure he was murdered, I pray they all get caught. Am sure they will be punished, if not in this life then the next.
    Prince fan forever 😢❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
