2019 - Ppl were surprised by Mazda 3's high pricing for a low displacement variant (1.5L naturally aspirated) 2020 - The all-new "cobra head" Hyundai Elantra (1.6L naturally aspirated) is having the similarly high pricing as well.
When you get used to something it is no longer surprising, in this case the pricing of the C-segment sedans has all seen the trend moving upwards. But it's not fair to say people were not surprised by the Elantra's pricing - many are complaining that it is too high still.
@@carlist_my You are right. It's worth noted that in the current sedan markets in Msia, more ppl are gravitating towards A-segment (Saga & Bezza) and B-segment (Vios and City) due to lack of affordable sedans for C and D-segment categories. Even the Corolla and Civic seem to attract lesser number of buyers, despite being cheaper than the CBU Mazda 3 and Hyundai Elantra.

im planning to buy this car end of this year. hope price will reduce that time.. overpriced for now lol
So this car is pretty pointless and that’s why no one is buying it?
Well if you look at the above comments, there are people buying the car ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and many can be seen on the road.
Carlist.my if we compared it against its actual rival (lol) which is the civic and the corolla, this thing doesn’t really sell lolllll

Carlist.my the mazda 3 isn’t doing well in other countries including America etc. I guess that the rest the world are all scared as well. Lol
Straight pipe I bought one.... sooo technically you can’t say people are not buying it.
