By far my favorite track in the whole game. Sounds like a nice saturday morning with sunshine through the window, gamecube on and the smell of pancakes in the air. Bliss
I actually used to do this as a kid cause i was dumb af, but i would still always retry just to keep listening to music while flying over the ocean that gave me anxiety LMAO
This games ost doesn’t get enough credit. This game has some of my favorite tracks of any game ever! (My personal favorite are this one, obviously, and the desert theme)
I remember playing Monkey Target with my older sister 17 years ago. We didn't get on much growing up but I recall it because she was genuinely interested in spending some time with me for once.
very distinct memory of playing this at my grandma's house with some guests during a dinner party when i was probably around 6 or 7. ive never seen most of those people again, but i hope theyre doing ok
For some reason I read "I've never seen most of those people laugh again" and I got really depressed But yeah, many memories with this game and its sequel
I don’t know if you guys heard, but Sega announced Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, which contain levels from Super Monkey Ball 1, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. It comes out October 5, 2021
After playing Smash Bros Melee and now discovering this, I think we can all argue and agree that GameCube games have universally good target mode music, _am I right ?_
Lovely calming music...just lovely I love nintendo games music it's just soooo calming or decent! Like mario kart and splatoon and SMB and many more music of them games r awesome!!! I may start downloading them to a sd card so i can listen to them over and over again
Glace Gaming Nope, but they should be. Sega stopped making any games other than Sonic, and Nintendo buying them out would probably allow Sega to start making games like Super Monkey Ball, Crazy Taxi, Nights Into Dreams, and Billy Hatcher again.
@@TurboPikachu Disagree Sega is still making games so far as a 3rd party publisher. The reason Sega stopped making consoles is because of the failure sales Dreamcast had.
One of the best compositions to come out of Sega ever since leaving the console industry. I wish they could have retained the composers like Hidenori Shoji, Sakae Osumi, Haruyoshi Tomita, and Mariko Nanba into the modern era
I've never got around to playing Banana Mania, but I was so disappointed when I read that somehow they had screwed up Monkey Target. It's a shame. I used to play this mode more than I did the main game!
Holy shit, I never took the time to listen to the full song past the 20 second mark cause it sounded underwhelming to me compared to target 2. Boy, how wrong I was.
By far my favorite track in the whole game. Sounds like a nice saturday morning with sunshine through the window, gamecube on and the smell of pancakes in the air. Bliss
Such a beautiful memory
This paints my memory so well as I close my eyes. Not a care in the world.
Did you know that if you land on the launch ramp instead of a target, the announcer will say “Oh no!” and you’ll get 1 point?
I have to try this now
I did that once in like 2017 on purpose.
I used to mess around with this mode when I was little, and discovered it by accident.
Yeah. I sometimes did that for fun.
I actually used to do this as a kid cause i was dumb af, but i would still always retry just to keep listening to music while flying over the ocean that gave me anxiety LMAO

Yeah this song is just straight nostalgia
@Flyin' Steve i felt that
This makes me kinda happy that I was that big sister who played games with her brother. We used to bond over video games. ❤
very distinct memory of playing this at my grandma's house with some guests during a dinner party when i was probably around 6 or 7. ive never seen most of those people again, but i hope theyre doing ok
Relatable
Hopefully if sega does a Super Monkey ball retro which has been rumoured, they'll remaster the games ost

That sounds like the best night ever
You ever just feel ballsy and go for the furthest target... Only to under/overshoot it?
This song just screams early 2000’s sega, and I love it.
The 2000s was such a great time to be a kid, especially the early to middle part of the decade.
@@TheBamaPrinceable this is the part I reveal I was born in 2007 so idr a single microsecond of that decade sadly.
They don't make games like this anymore.
I haven't heard this since 2006... Jesus Christ the nostalgia is overwhelming.
2006 was legendary
I have foggy memories of playing this without any real idea of what was what I was so little, I’ll never forget it though, music course too
This soundtrack is some of the most insane music I've ever heard in my life
Still hearing this in 2021 Miss the good old days playing GameCube ✌️😂😭
I hear ya, but in October there will be a remastered Version called Banana Mania, already preordered it.😊
so beautiful...
You're Not Wrong There, This Music Is So Brilliant.
Indeed it’s heart warming
Did y'all know if you (probably used magnet ball and) landed on the tiny yellow cylinder buoys they give you 500 points?
What a perfect song. Super monkey ball songs we’re made with love
After playing Smash Bros Melee and now discovering this, I think we can all argue and agree that GameCube games have universally good target mode music, _am I right ?_
Man tasked with making score for a monkey flying across the ocean via a plastic ball creates transcendent piece of music
OH NO!
CLOUD!
SPIKE BALL!
BOMB!
I always thought the way the narrator announced the obstacles was funny.
I'm falling!
MAGNET BALL
fard
Rip the announcer and music in Banana Mania. SMB1’s monkey target was the best.
My brother and nephew’s jam back in our preteenhood.
My favorite piece of Videogame Music, I love this one. And I played hundreds of Games. Fantastic!
This is a fucking tune.
You should hear the Monkey Target theme from the second game it's just as great if not better.
Definitely the best super monkey ball music
Banana Mania did this minigame dirty, so it can’t be considered a true truly faithful remake sadly.
This actually kinds sounds like something you'd hear in Gran Turismo, honestly. Hell, I'm down with that. 😊
FINAL ROUND!
READY?
GO!
Love Monkeyball music in general but especially this track! Rocking this in my car 2021 :)
I Want A 30 Minute Music Extension Of This!
You can right click the video and press 'loop' now, and you won't even have to press replay every 30 minutes!
This music screams early childhood. I wish I was 5 playing this game on a Saturday morning again.
I just love it so much what a great song definitely one of the best in this game I remember playing it back then with my family miss those days!❤️
Lovely calming music...just lovely

@@TurboPikachu This comment aged poorly. Hell, it was wrong then. Lol
Tripping music. Had on all night
*SPIKE BOMB*
Best song in the ost!
BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC!!

Triple Score on the gold peg takes pure skill
I kinda wish this was in banana mania.
Easier times..
Ah, nostalgia... 😌
Came here after Banana Mania ruined my favorite party game 😭
Time to take the hero challenge! Target the spots to win!
R.I.P Amusement Vision
sheer bliss
Am I the only one who sees this as a sad music? I still love this music though
I've never got around to playing Banana Mania, but I was so disappointed when I read that somehow they had screwed up Monkey Target. It's a shame. I used to play this mode more than I did the main game!
Unfortunately that’s due to them using Unity instead of the engine they used for the original games.
I’d encourage people to check out bknapp’s remix on their album, ‘Gamecubin’. It’s great.
So true, the Remix is even better.
Parts of this reminds me of c418's style of music for some reason. Especially the music disks
Interesting comparison, but I think it's the electric piano/organ you're talking about right?
This is slept on. I mean 2 is better but this is a classic.
2 drools 1 rules
Holy shit, I never took the time to listen to the full song past the 20 second mark cause it sounded underwhelming to me compared to target 2. Boy, how wrong I was.
No wind!
Magnet ball!
Best song.
Ohh so this is where we get Temple Trouble's intro from :)
This was my favorite fucking game imma go get another game boii and get this game just because i miss it that much bro
Fall out!
Sick horn feature
This sounds like losing

I'm falling... *Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep*
Always hated hearing that. 😓
I don't know why this music is better than SMB2 but I prefer play in SMB2 than this version because no spikes.
True point.
Why does this sound like pure shores from All saints?
Schwarzwald Klinik!
liluzivert
Meh the second one had a much better soundtrack but this one is okay.
Both SMB and SMB2 had awesome target songs!
Why does this sound like pure shores from all saints?
It kinda does, same vibes. Both very early 2000s.
I agree it sure does
