    I watched a lot of videos and understood nothing. Then, I came across a video from a guy who explained the HM process "mathematically." After that, I "just" needed to find someone who could explain it to me in practice, in-game, while linking it to the mechanical process. Thank you so much for your video-it’s very well explained, beautifully summarized, and surely one of the best for those who want to get started!

    Really great and clear video I must say! ❤
    I have two more things for beginners as a GO grinder myself.
    Deal with the solos from the start on! Its easier to manage them down that way.
    Second thing being; if you shoot a female by accident, it can happen that she might swap places with a male of another zone you've shot. That's where confusion sometimes comes up. The respawns cannot switch gender, but can swap places.
    I wish everyone good luck and a fast grind ❤

    I’m a brand new player who bought the game during the recent black friday sale. I thought herd management was something I’d never touch but a couple of days ago I came across this video and decided to give it a try. Over the weekend I was able to harvest roughly 350 fallow deer, 11 diamonds, 2 piebald males, and just a couple of minutes ago a 243 scoring melanistic, by far my best trophy yet! I haven’t found a great one yet but have definitely found success in your methods. Thanks for such a well laid out guide!

      @JBizHunts yes, your canadianness showed through, just a little. Your statistical knowledge is jolly impressive my friend though. I try not to break down the game into numbers and systems myself, I prefer to immerse myself and play as if it's real life, consequently in over a years play I've only 15 diamonds and never seen neither hide nor hair of a great one but I do secretly hope that one day, out of the blue, one might occur.
      I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think, perhaps, that you're like me and not a huge game player but just found that this game is a perfect blend, a diamond in the rough one might say, that becomes part of one's life. I absolutely adore the game, I enjoy just moving about the virtual environment as much as the accomplishments. I only just watched your breakdown of the best maps for instance (really enjoyed that one) and thought you should somehow vector in a "beauty factor" as New England Mountains just looks amazing and that in itself counts for something. My opinion of course, oh btw, thanks for replying, pleased to meet you buddy/ friend/ guy/ whichever South Park term for (Canadian) acquaintance you're happy to use. 😊🫱🫲👍

Thanks for noticing the numbers factor, in my career I deal with numbers and patterns so that has bled into my hobby. @JBizHunts It's great to be able to discuss with an interesting and brilliant mind such as yourself. I should mention that your videos, the time and effort you've put into them, are appreciated.
      Actually there's so much I would like to chat about but I'm sure you have better things to do.
      BTW, I also really like Hirschfelden, in fact the North-West part of the map, the mountain and valley behind it are my favourite "virtual place".
      I'm glad to hear that we have in common the enjoyment of the game, it really is something special isn't it?
      A friend of mine persuaded me to get RDR2 last year and if you've not played through that I would recommend it as it is a different type of experience but nothing comes close to COTW in terms of being an absorbing virtual space. Have you played RDR2?

    • @JBizHunts
      @JBizHunts  4 месяца назад

      @@Buster_Piles I played a lot of RDR but not 2. My time to play is very limited which is why I herd manage. I love this game so much, it’s honestly given me so much joy in some of my biggest moments. That’s why I started the channel as a way to catalogue my hunts so I can revisit cool diamonds and rares but then it kinda took off and now I’m at 100k views and I love to teach. I’ve training videos at my day job so I have an insight in how to structure videos for learning so, put my love of hunting, teaching and math and strategy together it’s a beautiful symbiotic mixing of why I love this game and only play this game. The NW hirsch is beautiful, but I’m really partial to all the maps. I find beauty in them all… like recently I’ve been really into Mississippi acres! Love that map!

One diamond, one botched initial spawn diamond, one piebald male, two piebald females (one initial spawn, not sure how the second piebald female spawn so long after the first one though), and a troll so far. I started out by shooting both Red Deer and Fallow, but I have since cut it down to just fallow.
    I've also figured out the easiest way to make two kills per zone is to wait until at least one shooter deer is in its drinking animation before shooting your first deer.

      @@Joe-sw2te I used to, you can probably have 1 or two zones that should have pickup tents because they are across a river or a very large lake… but since the update for respawns you can’t just main menu to force them anymore, you have to play 15+ minute on the map. So, instead of having 8 tents with 8 pickup, and multiple shooters per zone… I managed the zones better so there was only 1 shooter and 1 low level per tent. So, actually running or ATV to a zone takes up a little extra time so my respawns work as expected. I currently have 2 zones that have pickups and 12 zones that do not. Hmmmm so rn Im sittin on like 4 level 5 bucks in my main shooting zone and Im half tempted to go back through and see if I cant clean up some of my other zones of the smaller level 3s to see if they'll come back as 2s but I dont wanna screw it up and start having 4s and stuff spawn where I had only 2s and low estimate 3s. Any suggestions or do you think Im clear to start taking my dimes? Also abother question say I got basically the majority of the map to level 2s and low 3s besides like 4 zones would that increase my chances of a Great One or hinder it cause Im not shooting as many bucks?

      @JBizHunts  2 месяца назад

      @@raditz1101 yes and no, the more managed your map is (at the height of my fallow grind a max level fallow was spawning every 12-15 harvests). So, being down to 4 zones would definetly be managed! However, with the new respawn rules and 15minute rough respawn time… I would be rotating on 10-12 herds with 1 huge male and a shot down herd otherwise. That way you are killing 10-12 per rotation and playing enough time that the first zone has respawned. If not what will take forever is you shoot 4 deer and wait 15 mins to shoot another 4… which essential lowers the amount of respanws that could be a go

      @@kaws2 I don’t have main zones anymore since the July update, even scarecrow has added more zones to his main rotation in follow up videos to “fix” his grind. Because respawns take 15 irl minutes of playing on the map to occur. So, make 16 main zones, but you still want to choose 10 to begin with and use the 6 other tents to shoot down the rest of your zones until you are left with 6 and the original 10 main you choose.

      @@darter475 you have to shoot solos and your herds at the same time. They can swap zones. Think of it this way: you shoot a big solo and a small herd male they both go into the respawn machine. My great one conspiracy theory video lays out the reasoning. 5kg weight difference let’s say for fallow deer is 5% for max weight as an example. A level 10, what dictates level again? Weight… so that’s the correlation between HM and short grinds.
