Hi! Thanks for another really good video!
I think it's a very fine summary!
Yeah, the "respawn bucket" is fact for my game. At the moment I am after the pheasant GO. Sometimes I don't shoot more then 5-8 males in about 30 min. Then I stop and hunt some ducks and like magic the pheasants are back 😁
@@ChrisL-q1i a lot of the commenters feel the same!
Using musical chairs was a good way of explaining it, which makes perfect sense.
@@Hodgey6282 the animals stay the same (tag #) but can swap zones… only way to test things out is to shoot a male in a herd zone and nothing else. Go somewhere else on the map and hunt some other species and come back and see what respawned. Since it only has 1 chair
@JBizHunts yeah mate I thought it was a clever example somtimes it can be confusing to try and explain it to people that havnt done it before.

Thanks buddy! Wait till part 2! I release some pretty cool info
You can tests your theories about respawning with the mod animal population scanner. It shows how many females and males of a specific species with their levels are on your map (but not telling you where they are… would ruin the game).

@@Yso_Seriouss there’s still luck involved! Plus New England is huge with over 200 zones to manage! That will take a lot of kills before you notice a shift. @@graydenrobinson233 yes! That’s actually probably a very efficient way to do it to not overload the system on how many respawns it’s creating. Also, personally I like it better because you know you shot 1 male from the zone and can see if it came back as bigger or smaller and can judge how your management is coming along.
@@JBizHunts thank you!
@ anytime! Thanks for being part of the channel!
Hey JBiz great video I learn a lot from them. I play on Xbox and recently got a great one fallow using your tips. While I was grinding for it I had 35 fallow drink zones. When I found the great one some of my friends wanted to see so I created a multiplayer map and invited them to it.After I killed the great one and started to grind for another one my map changed and instead of having 35 drink zones now I have 44 drink zones. So my question would be does making a multiplayer map ruin your grind?
@ I would never open a map I have a grind on with others. Too much risk to mess up the zones, steal diamonds, rares or my G1… or in your case, mess up some zones. You have to think multiplayer puts strain on the system and puts other players with their systems as well. It’s easy for the game to “glitch”
If I were to dead zone one whitetail drinking area, would that encourage whitetail to use the other drinking spots instead? In other words would it make more show up at the non dead zone drinking spots instead.
No, they just won’t respawn, it’s like they go in limbo
@ I’m glad you did! I’m on the move to 5k subs so I can get into EW new partner program and deliver these type of videos for new launches (weapon packs, dogs new maps)… I really think I’m in a niche space for cotw
I have a question all of my red deer zones on te awaroa are level 5 males and I don’t know what too do I’m using her management but I was told by lady legend too shoot level 5’s and up and stack the 9’s but I don’t know if I shoot my level 5’s
You shoot the 5’s. Go watch my Red Deer Herd Management Video. I love lady, but I lay mine one in steps, easily explained.. (I train people in my real job) so, I translate that to my videos! Go check it out, it may save your grind!
@@JBizHunts thank you much, I’ll definitely be watching your videos and be waiting on more content
I just loaded the game, killed 3 moose. After each kill, after picking each up, the respawn happened in less than 1 minute. So 15 minutes is completely false. I noticed, that theory crafting is a thing in many games, but in this case I will let randomness to take over and just play.
@@merchantofkarma It was never said to be the rule, just the average. Some animals respawn faster than others, especially solo zone animals. Good call 👍 to let the randomness play! That’s why I love this game so much
When you kill a bunch of animals in different herds that have the same or around the same population will there ever be a uneven amount ending in a bunch in one zone but a few in another? I fell like it’s happening where I kill a deer and they respawn in a completely different zone? And are you supposed to shoot lvl ones?
For herd management leave the 1s, you may be shooting solo males that are sharing a herd zone. Your zones shouldn’t “grow” they should shrink as you are waiting for a respawn
@ thank you
My first beceite ibex was a melanistic, i feel lucky.
@@Mrbadgerr that’s a 1 in 1818 spawn rate right there!
@@JBizHunts yep, i was shocked
@ I only have 1 mela ibex, a female Beceite, from my thousands of hours of play… and cuatro is a top 5 map for me too! That says a lot! I do have like 3 or 4 grandslams made of diamonds 🤷♂️
My first axis deer was and I shot it through tall grass while seeing only its outline lmao
What happens when you harvest a solo zone animal but the zone does not disappear? I am grinding Fallow, I have 3 GO's and took a break, now i am back at it and my solo zones don't disappear like they use to. Is this new or is it my game is somehow broken?
@@bigcountry15151 it could be that the new fallow is respawning there. Despite popular belief most respawns only go so far, and depending on where you shoot them they probably stay on the same lake. Also! If they share a zone with another animal, like feral pig, the indicator won’t disappear
Is it normal to have interior and exterior zones in the same lakes?
@@ohhey1232 you can if you want! It’s your grind. Main zones are meant to be the ones you like to shoot and visit, good steady respawns… exteriors are meant for poor visibility, slow respawns, maybe zones with one 1 male. But it’s a game! I normally just shoot down all 16 and rotate and the final zones are my main zones.
@ thank you for answering, and one more thing I was wondering is if on Te Awaroa I should just shoot every solo?
@ if they are mid to high level yes!
Hey man, love the vid. Earlier today I shot a big gold albino red deer on my te awaroa and since I didn’t have enough to tax it, i saved the harvest. Back in my lodge, I taxied it however it doesn’t show up and there is a new red deer(a random silver) that I didn’t tax or save. The albino says it’s still in my saved harvests but also says it’s taxed. I can’t find it anywhere and after shooting it I went on playing normally. This is like my dream trophy and I was wondering if you knew any fix or something that I could do to get my trophy, I also completely understand if you have no clue about this problem. Thanks and sorry to bother
Yeah, did you put it on a floor mount? I got an albino water buffalo and I place it but when I return to my lodge it’s disappeared. So what you do is go to your trophy manager, click on your albino and retrieve trophy and place it as a head mount. I think it’s a bug with albino’s but I could be wrong. You don’t want to lose it so just go retrieve it. EW always fixes these trophy lodge bugs
@ it doesn’t say I can retrieve it because it isn’t actually in my lodge, it only shows up in saved harvests. It says it is taxied in saved harvests but I cannot place it on a floor or head mount. Should I try deleting the random silver that showed up? I believe that i killed it a few minutes after the albino. Thank you so much for the help man

Wait I always thought that your zone gets deleted if certain kills are made in same area. Just the number of kills.
@@Orcallo. that’s blowing out your zone caused by hunting pressure? 4 kills without a hunting stand?
@JBizHunts yes, so that is still a thing correct? Should have been mentioned.
@ well blowing out a zone is correct, but doesn’t effect respawns. This video is about what happens when you harvest the animal and that deleting a zone is for solo and pairs and doesn’t affect herds. Hope that explains the difference
@@JBizHunts so when you delete a zone, it is just moved to new zone with its current herd state?
How long does HM take in average? We talking in dozens or hundreds of hours?
@@Orcallo. dozens maybe, but honestly I measure it in harvests… 250-500 harvests you will see the biggest results

So I have about 10 diamond red deer on my grind right now. Can i leave them ? Or do i shoot them ? Also im 1100-1200 kills in
@@6thgenbang do you have many other shooters? The intention of stacking is to shoot down other zones… if you are having less and less to shoot per rotation, blast those 💎
@JBizHunts nah it's about the same. I have multiple 5-8s constantly respawing. Most of my respawns are 7 and 8s for about the last 2 days.
@ that’s the sign! Blast those 9’s and only stack again if you see a bunch of 5’s and 6’s
@JBizHunts man I'm scared lol.. I worked hard for those 9s. Can 9s turn into 10s
@ on my red deer grind I got about 35ish diamonds… I would use a personal strategy, one that I won’t suggest to people or put in a video, but I would stack 10, shoot then, work hard to stack 10 shoot, and do it again. I stacked to 10 three times during my 2300 grind. What was neat was the last one I blasted them all and I spawned 2 G1’s same rotation. I tell the story in my 9 great ones by accident video… I call the my strategy waves 🌊… stack, splash, repeat.
Ok so when herd managing and shooting down exterior zones instead of shooting bucks down to lvl 1 within a herd, does it work the same to just shoot the herd down to just 1 female so the males don't resawn at all or do I need to just keep shooting the males until they respawn as lvl 1 animals for the herd management to take effect ??????
@stratobay people tried that with the fox grind, get rid of large level males in a pair but not shoot the female to make the remaining average lower. They said things became a bit wonky with respawns and it affected their herd negatively. If it’s done as a mistake, it won’t be a deal breaker for your grind, but if you do it with intention at multiple zones it would be
@JBizHunts thanks yea with my moose grind iv been patiently shooting them down but have always wondered if it would work the same just to shoot the zones down to a female. Thanks for your input
@ I did this on one of my zones during my moose grind and my g1 still spawned.. I was sour because it was a good zone! Don’t take the short cuts for HM, do it right and you will be rewarded
@JBizHunts thanks yea I do agree iv only been playing 3 months and have just baged my 13th greatone. Just was curious if I could speed up my future herd management's but seems I stick to doing it the patient way. Thanks again
@ 13 in 3 months! Good grief! Wow! 🤩, I got 9! Mind you I’m a dad, with a big job 9-5, so my time to play is few and far between!
Hmm yesh brilliant i always wanted to hunt a water zone full of chairs! 🧐
It was the only analogy that made sense hahaha! Hopefully they are lazy boy recliners because this dude is tired of grinding hahaha
Just ruined a diamond so I’m here to see how I can respawn another diamond
@@jamesjennings8574 That would be HM! You can use Hm to help spawn another…
it would be nice to focus on intentionally swapping animals esp. after the change to respawns. Bears or Moose as examples. you mention pieces in the video. single zone vs. herd zones. single animal zone vs multi animal zone. During the setup of the grind, it is somewhat of a goal to swap animals to get then into better zones to make the rotation quicker. just food for thought as it pertains to your audience. these are good videos.
@jhoten thank you! I’m restarting my bear grind (I quit after the population reset) was at around 1500… so, with fresh map, I’m focusing on swapping at the start, then herd management to see what happens
@@JBizHunts I just setup my bear grind and that is what I am doing... swapping... I really hate that they won't stay at the same water source. I have to look everywhere to find them... I still have a moose grind going that I was working on 2 years ago. I still have 6 diamond on 9 zones... I just got burnt out.. had one for whitetail and they can't resetting the population when things came out.. messed up things. they also messed up my original bear grind... reset population.. change drink times... just getting back in..
@ agreed! 👍… I have a fallow grind currently at 500+ for my 6th and final fallow g1 (hopefully ends soon), I have a red deer grind for a mela, just setting up my new Bear grind… I don’t have a moose grind currently, and I’m 800 deep into a pheasant grind. Once I get one or two things to pop I can then narrow focus on certain ones
What respawn changes?

If you get an all female zone is that zone dead? Should I just not check it anymore and expect females?
What animal?
@ whitetail
@ it’s possible. But if you come back like 100 harvests later don’t be surprised if a new buck showed up
So you're saying a herd can't grow in size? If you left one herd alone and killed off others that one herd won't get bigger?
Correct, unless a solo joined the herd but it’s still a solo just sharing a zone.
Ok my question is why do I have to find all my zones to get respawns
You don’t have to find all your zones to get respawns, you have to find all your zones to manage them.
@ actually everyone I have talked to say that you need to find your zones to get consistent respawns. I’m going to try it out on one of my whitetail zones and see if the respawns come back
@ it’s always fun to test! Let me know what you find out!
@ ok will due
@ so it was just a short little experiment but I found that I have little zones and at the zones I tested on I got respawns but they took a very long time. I also noticed that unlike what I thought you don’t get respawns if you leave the map you shot the animal on and start hunting another only if you stay on the map for a certain period of time after shooting the animal.
