Fuck arcade 1up lol, also my Galaga is in my kids room for them to destroy lol
Fk them is right. just a cheap company that in any other industry would be laughed out of business. Everyone would or should have done exactly what you did, buy a couple, realized they are junk , and never bought again. Instead , they doubled the prices and these idiots bought more.
I got to the point when they had issues they never tried to resolve. Mvcc2, dragons lair I was like wtf $700 for crap. I was a fan boy at the $300 price point. I will say I NEVER bought the cabs at full price bought 28 cabs at $50 ea including 2 Star Wars back in the day and sold them for a profit. I purchased big blue, projector Cade, Atari pong when they had the deal stream. Bought a tron under $400 when RC Willey had it on sale, X-men for $350, Simpsons for $200, T2 for $350, turtles for $150, outrun $350 etc. those weren’t bad but still with failures due to quality it’s not worth it. I went with At games and loaded it and only kept a few A1up’s due to different controls Star Wars, tron and outrun sold the rest added the retro shooter to the Atgames and haven’t looked back.
@@therexershowYep! The reality and downside is trying to sell, I think we all see is that people realized they are toys and only want to pay $100/150 for these cabs. Rexer, I am just going to say.... I do watch your content, and I watch 19K Fox... I enjoy 19K, he is my favorite RUclipsr..... I can tell you, that he has saved me from arcade 1up disasters, and I am very selective... I have 10 arcade 1ups... I live in an area where there are no auctions.... My closest auction is 3 states south of me, and it's Johnny's arcade auction which is online and the bids are way beyond me... But thanks to 19K, I have been researching Unico's upcoming Candy Cab... and now can focus on the real pcbs from real arcades to put it in... Starting with the Rally-X and Make Trax, real cabs that I have that died... but the pcb's still function... Got myself jamma adapters for both games and I will be good... Of the arcade 1ups that I have, Star Wars, Tron, and Dragon's Layer are permanent keepers. Even though I can play the others other ways, I love my Final Fight cab, which the original board had a suicide battery... Their controls work fine on side screen beat'em ups. I have X-Men 4 player and the first TMNT 4 player cabs and I love those... I have never used online play, just local, as the only online thing I like is the update system... Beats carrying it down 3 flights of stairs like I had to for the Costco Super Pac-Man... Most of the cabs I have were bought at discount for one game out off the lists. My Street Fighter, for 1944 with an 8 way joystick, as the original had a suicide battery. My Mortal Combat, for Joust and Wizard of Wor... I have a nonworking real Joust cab, so I know the difference, but playing Joust and Wizard of War are a blast on that cab.... The super Pac-Man is for Dig Dug, as their joysticks suck for Pac-Man... I have a real Ms-Pac-Man cocktail cab from the 80's and that's how I play my Pac-Man... I have an A1up Frogger, which was bought specifically for Time Pilot... There are Time Pilot and Frogger pcb's that I am watching. Once I acquire those two pcb's, the A1up Frogger is gone... But the truth, understand what games actually function as they should on A1up. The beat em ups work fine. Unique control games do not work on a candy cab... I mean, if Arcade 1up ever released Spy Hunter, I would have it... Unique controls are a different situation... I do not feel taken in... I cannot afford a real cab... The closest Spy Hunter to me is $8000 and 4 states away.... The closest Buck Rogers to me is $5000 and 4 states away.... But anything with a joystick and buttons I can play on the candy cab as long as it is jamma capable, or I can find a jamma adapter.... People who like fighting games or games like Pac-Man that require tight turns and such, should have never invested in A1up... Joystick and buttons are not good enough for those games... But things like Dig Dug, Galaga, 1944, Joust, and any of the side screen beat em ups, controls work fine. Simpsons is a mess because of the bowling game and that trackball making Homer unplayable... For that reason, I have a Pandora which has Simpsons and all the rest of the 3 and 4 player games that are out there... Cadillacs and Dinosaurs anyone? The X-Men and TMNT are on the Pandora, but i prefer the A1up cabs and those original roms compared to the Pandora versions. When I bought X-Men, it was for the Captain America and the Avengers game that is not the title game. A1up has the arcade version. When Nintendo put that game on their NES cartridge, they took away all the continues... That game was a quarter muncher, so what they did made it impossibly hard. A1ups can serve a purpose, if you know what you are doing... But blindly getting everything they release is fool hardy and will require those with the know how, to mod the heck of them to make them playable. I have never bought an A1up that I have regretted getting. But I have been very careful as to what titles I get, and when I get them... The only cab I have paid full price for, is the first Star Wars cab. Just know what you are getting. Use your head, not your fomo...
19k is an odd one when it comes to shilling. He will bash 1up , then the next day go buy one , then go on Mike B and everyone’s show saying how much he likes them. Mainly because he can’t alienate his audience and lose viewership. Unfortunately I lost a lot of respect for 19k in one of his latest videos when he begged for money so “he could buy some of his unique arcades he wanted for his Gameroom”. As a grown man, I can’t respect people asking for money for toys for their gameroom. Remeber 19k is one of the many RUclipsrs who put Fomo into eceryone with his streams and purchases of all these 1ups, then quickly sold them all because of what crap they were. Everything else you said is pretty fair and accurate.
dude was playing a pandoras box...lol emulation is never good on those..not to mention 4 way AND 8 way joystick games on one cab...lol get him glens switcher...thumbs up for better controls tho....But a pandoras box is hardly a real arcade bro
Agree. He did say he was going to swap out with something else. But that goes to show you how bad 1up emulation is when you say “Pandora’s box “ is great. One step at a time. Don’t even tell him about FPGA and then blow his mind.
Honestly it’s hilarious how many of these Arcade1up guys genuinely don’t know crap about real arcades. Everything from the feel of the controls to the emulation is just completely disregarded. The more ridiculous these A1up cabs are, the more you realize that A1up was never really for those nostalgic arcade fans who really know arcades. A1up has attracted so many fans that simply want the image of owning an arcade rather than actually owning an arcade cab and having genuine love for those classic games
They never wanted the actual experience ; they just want the “sight” and “idea” of having their own game room. In the end , they have a gameroom that doesn’t even get close to the nostalgia they were looking for.
I never did the update on my atgames legends ultimate and it runs coin ops and awesome sauce. With the bitlcd it’s amazing what it does for the price I paid. Got the sams clearance sale.i have one Arcade1up and I can’t stand the quality on it or the small size.
Well that’s the final say then, a music and politics magazine said Arcade 1ups are great. Looks like I’m throwing all my arcades away and going to start buying 1ups. On a real note though, the answer is yes. Hundreds of people in this prior 3/4 scale have already converted long ago. BUT I was so glad you made this so I know the right measurements! Dude this made my day! Thank you! 🙏 😊 May be looking at galaga cabs soon! 😁
We are glad you a happy with your newly acquired machine. Nobody can tell you that it's a bad piece , becuase it's not, it's really good and feel proud to show that off. But take out the pandoras box like you said you were going to do and put that STeam based pc or launchbox or some good emulation machine. Good luck Galagaguy, glad you saw the good in this video.
The Unicorn candy cabs look promising.
Yea. Doesn’t seem like a bad option.
Most of these games can be run on an old android phone. Or a pc (doesn't even need a gpu). I never understood filling a room with these things. What about just one muulticade cab? Or if you're a parent, how about a steam deck and you can be with the family and still play?
They all didn’t want to accept the fact that there was many better solutions to 1ups. They needed their “group” , their “club” and they needed to belong to it. Buying DIY or other meant they weren’t “in the club if they weren’t buying 1ups”. Now they just stare at 20 1up of wasted money.
Multicab I get. Steamdeck isn’t as cool as an arcade cabinet.
@@cwescrab Cab lives in a dedicated spot. You have to go to it to play. Point is Steam deck gives great retro experience and allows you to play anywhere. If your wife and kids demand your presence, you can still play.
I think most people who have common sense never had any expectation these were anything like having a real arcade. It’s “home” arcade. Take them for what they are.
You would think. But not only do they think this a great arcade experience but they think it’s a better experience
It's time for a successor to A1Up. Their new leadership doesn't have a clue. I figure they'll sell off what arcade inventory they have left and they'll focus on their dumb video board game. Maybe they'll have an arcade cab when Costco wants a Pac Man to sell for the holidays.
Pac-Man Pac-Man and more Pac-Man
Please for people who are considering a arcade 1up
don’t buy it and I’ll give you a simple run down
Buying a DIY Arcade machine - 300-500
Amazon China Special with 10k emulators - 150
Keyboard Monitor - 150
Jamma / Happ Sticks and buttons 100
That’s 800 for 10k games
Vs you can easily drop 500-1000 for two of these plastic toys with only 7 games
Again 800 for 10k games (can also back them up on another harddrive) vs 8 games for 1k and no backup ability
Seems too simple for people to understand.
@@therexershow way too simple.
I bought an A1up Final Fight right when they 1st came out, I had it for about a week and realized they were junk gave it to my son and bought a Legends Ultimate, now I can play almost every game
Yeah. The ALU is at least doable. And for the money , and add coin ops , it’s good . And it was only 5-600.
I have an old PC hooked to it plays every game I want to play@@therexershow
Hi rexer just watched the stream ya man arcade 1 up vs at games multicade is a absolutely no brainer price quality option I have sold 6 arcade 1 up cabinets it’s the truth they collect dust for me the buttons joysticks unplayable which is obvious like here in Canada went to the brick and the deluxe cabinet buttons joysticks still the same crap it’s like hello just give the customers what they have bin asking for even do a survey to ask the fans do u mind paying more for better quality and i guarantee you plp will pay now all i have left is nba jam will get someone to upgrade my buttons joysticks will buy a at games milticade or wait for the killer instinct 4 k plus at the end of the day plp can buy whatever arcade they want from what ever company have a great weekend
Bought 3 arcade 1ups did all these modding ideas and modded out two of them.
Seen how junk they were and when you take them apart often to mod them they are cheap ass plywood (sorry for the run on sentence lol)
A1Up didn’t fully get me because I bought 3 at bargain basement prices Galaga and Final Fight for 75 a piece and bought a shell one with no screen and Tulsa Arcade kits man. I was totally in lol.
Then I got smart and bought a full sized DIY build your self cab that was very easy, now I’m bought to buy a full sized one
Got rid of all 3 of my arcade 1ups traded it in for a CIB NES with games lol.
Sounds like you stayed "ahead of the curve" and got out and sold when you needed to. Not making yourself in debt over this garbage.
@@therexershowYep! The reality and downside is trying to sell, I think we all see is that people realized they are toys and only want to pay $100/150 for these cabs. My last few stayed on marketplace for literally months I had Simpsons for $250 and x men for $300 and everyone tried talking me down and the same numbers I kept getting were $100-150 for them. 😆. I’m just glad I’m out before I really got stuck.
I have 14 REAL arcades full-size and caberte. Would NEVER do1up crap.
Sell ur Arcade1up before the value crashes. The marketplace is already full of them, the list prices r going down and down and down
Marketplace is flooded with them.
I don't know what the hell that Ms. Pac-Man is, but trust me, it ain't a modded 1Up...
It looks like a modded gen 1. Lol. But what do I know.
Detroit love puts sand in the bottom of his 1,ups if I'm not mistaken so they don't rock lol
I wouldn’t doubt it. No other option really , but I recall all the shills saying “they don’t wobble , they are fine. “. 😂😂😂
@@therexershow lol
Buying 1 or 2 1ups doesnt put you in a group or make you a "1up" guy.
No it doesn’t. I bought 3.
🔥💙
dude was playing a pandoras box...lol emulation is never good on those..not to mention 4 way AND 8 way joystick games on one cab...lol get him glens switcher...thumbs up for better controls tho....But a pandoras box is hardly a real arcade bro
Agree. He did say he was going to swap out with something else. But that goes to show you how bad 1up emulation is when you say “Pandora’s box “ is great. One step at a time. Don’t even tell him about FPGA and then blow his mind.
The only 1ups worth buying are tron and Star Wars.
Tron is pushing it. Buying it for looks I feel like. Games are ok but I understand buying for the unique controls and games.
I personally think 1up is junk. Same boat as atgames junk.
Atgames is a step up, but I get that it’s still lower quality. Better options than both.
@@therexershow i have a legends pinball that i will not update or coinops dies, what a joke atgames is for doing us modders dirty!
Yup. That was BS. Now you can’t go online. And again. They and all the influencers hid that fact from everyone.
No problems with mine 🤷🏼♂️
I never did the update on my atgames legends ultimate and it runs coin ops and awesome sauce. With the bitlcd it’s amazing what it does for the price I paid. Got the sams clearance sale.i have one Arcade1up and I can’t stand the quality on it or the small size.
Since Rolling Stone Magazine is pimping Arcade1up products right now and have it on the top best retro systems to buy - the answer is No! Sorry...
Well that’s the final say then, a music and politics magazine said Arcade 1ups are great. Looks like I’m throwing all my arcades away and going to start buying 1ups. On a real note though, the answer is yes. Hundreds of people in this prior 3/4 scale have already converted long ago. Even the YT shills who just promote them have already converted ; they just don’t want their subs to know, so they fake their interest.
@@therexershowI wouldn't say that if something Retro or good comes along. They will jump on that too. If anything with the way things are with the Economy you will be lucky to get anything. Just saying.. expect more Digital type stuff sadly.
@@dragongamer2670 enjoy the unplayable GT rehash for $700. Another kick in the nuts. The economy has nothing to do with 1ups failures and inability to grow. They lost tons of customers because of the garbage they make and poor quality. End of story.
