Still is good info, and AtGames has nothing to do with them or vice-versa. If they did, we'd be seeing as many videos for every single table release there. VPX can be very difficult to set up and configure. Blahcade also sees no use for VR at this time, since neither host has a headset. There's something brewing in the VR scene, though.
So this means everyone who purchased a 4k pinball machine from Atgames. Who already owned the HD pinball machine for the soul purpose of playing the Zen tables in 4k were screwed. This also means that the Zen tables can be played on the HD pinball machines from Atgames. How does this make you feel HD pinball machine owners? I won't ask the shills - ball washers about their honor or integrity. That would be like asking a dead bloke to rise. No honesty among shills lol.
You could play zen in true 1080 on your HD with OTG and fx or fx3 and have all the bells and whistles that it has to offer . Or you can play a crap version of zen tables with lesser physics on the 4k in the same resolution.
The HD Pinball chip would never run any Zen tables natively, since Zen leapt to Unreal 4. (Yes, you could go OTG, but point still stands.) The RK3399 chip is too weak compared to the Nintendo Switch, and the RK3588 is more powerful than both. Even if the RK3399 did (borderline Android 9 support), you'd be subject to much of the same thing the 4K cabinet is going through right now. That's just me going through a rough comparison across all 3 chips. I do not own any AtGames related hardware.
@@therexershow Ironically, Creature is shown running on the 4K cabinets with the new flipper physics model. It's strange, to say the least -- you'd think they were going the more basic route all along.
Facts are (And feel free to dispute them by providing AtGames or Zen marketing) the machine is advertised as a 4k digital pinball with all games built-in being in 4k. I know they've fixed flipper / plunger lag but have not been able to get the Zen tables running in 4k as advertised. Both companies won't even state what the resolution is currently. If they feel that they've never stated that the Zen tables would be in 4k on a machine called the ALP4K with a previous machine being in HD then prove it. Otherwise, be an ethical and law-abiding company and admit you screwed up then discount these things to a price suitable for the value of the product. And for god sakes stop trying to find ways to greedily exploit certain features to have another revenue stream like the OTG for $200.
And for the shills: I actually enjoy AtGames products... just do not like dishonesty. I want to know clearly what I am purchasing... not a bunch of false promises. Getting a few free products should not influence how you treat the community and your own character as a person. Be pro consumer... these companies are there to make money they're using you to manipulate others into purchasing their products.
Pinball FX is using a resource sucking engine. The 4kp zen tables are based on FX. The chip in the device has no chance. They should have chosen a better chip or used the older FX3 engine instead. FX3 is very light but still looks good and plays well.
Magic pixel does not use UE5 like Fx does. That is why they run fine in 4k at 60hz with that chip. This is also why the zen tables are not even being offered for the alp hd. I'll bet atgames designed and contracted the hw BEFORE the zen deal. That is how we are here.
@@MikeS-qk6gd Zen dodged a bullet with Unity, given that debacle. There were many things Zen wanted to do with their engine, but couldn't due to limitations.
Its a shame anyone is trying to defend that 4k wasnt promised. They even renamed the old ALP to the HD to avoid confusion with the 4k! The chip may have the power on paper to do 4k. Paper specs is what all the YT channels look at. Someone still has to develop for said chip. 4k res for vpin is good, but not the most important. Refresh rate and response time. Give me 1080 120hz
They also knew that 120fps and refresh was impossible with that chip as well as more costly for the monitor. You would think a company would actually do a prototype first with what they are promising before they actually promise it.
@@NeoWave346 no way ? That’s not a tough question for them to give a response to. My belief is owners will not get 15-20 zen tables as promised because they have to redo them all from scratch and Atgames and zen aren’t paying or spending the resources. How many zen tables are available now ? 7 ?
Reddit user here, I still see your comments on the FX3 threads. None of them were deleted. There are missing Switch tables because Zen hasn't gone around to releasing them yet. Bear in mind, we've still yet to see the old FX3-style physics on the new tables.

@ yeah. It’s good for what it is. I said they aren’t getting 60fps consistently . Nobody will show it running for an hour with a counter. But it’s good for what it gives you. I also like you can put a pc in it and use it .
@therexershow once you start getting the pc involved, it gets confusing to me. At that point, you could start putting something much better together if all you care about is playing the tables yourself. It depends on what you value. If you are a home arcade guy who wants the pretty furniture (cab) and want every guest at your house to look at it, then the 4kp makes sense even with the pc.
@therexershow building a nice cab (pretty furniture) with 120hz 4k or 2k, an appropriate pc, the encoder boards, ssf, a shaker motor, solenoids, lights, etc, you are looking at $4000 easy (if you bargain shop and do everything yourself). Probably more. In that context, getting 50fps on the 4kp for $2000 isn't so bad. Probably best value would be to find a used or broken alp hd and mod it.
Lmao, what even is this nonsense? The machine DOES play 4K content. The Magic Pixel and Gottlieb games are in 4K. The Zen games are not in 4K, but that doesn’t mean the machine is not 4K capable, it just means the Zen games are performance intensive. You described this exact scenario with the Xbox as if it’s no big deal for some software to be 4K or not but have a problem with AtGames having software available at various resolutions.
You have to watch. If Spiderman for XBOX comes out for preorder and says in 4k, and then when it comes out , the game is not in 4k, is that false advertising? XBOX is the hardware, the software is the media pushing video. 2 different things. Atgames owns both the hardware and the software and promised the software in 4k. It's as simple as that. love the comment, thank you sir. I like people who appreciate the gaming side, and not just the reporting of news side. It's much more rewarding to have gaming props , then video and news reporting props.
They delete my posts in the Facebook group over it every time I mention it. They say the display/play field is 4k that it will play 4k tables. I sold mine and bought a Stern Venom.
NICE ! they are so sad and not admitting they lied and giving the actual native res and the upscaled res. I’d have more respect if they actually admitted it.
I heard they delete anything that goes against their narrative.
They not only censor their social media but when they can they disable comments entirely.
Rexer,
This stream couldn't have happened at a better time. I've been working on my AtGames 4KP review and several points made in this video are the same one's I'm touching upon. I'm also glad I don't feel alone, as I remember the marketing history of the 4KP as well. It stinks when some try to re-write history in order to create a new more positive spin. But this isn't new with AtGames, nor those fans who base their whole self worth on a product or a company. We have plenty in this community who are smart and can think for themselves and will remember things that happened, no matter who tries to scrub stuff away.
I'll be citing your video in my upcoming review and I'll let you know when it posts. Will I be recommending the 4KP? Hmm. Will see :)
Thanks again for all you do Rexer!

@@videogamevegas good stuff. Will be waiting on your review. I think it’s definitely good for a shell and the other games. And the SSF is good. I just think the way they redid the physics and using upscaled graphics to get somewhere respectable, as well as not being able to handle the 3D effects , nor offering anything that fx3 or fx has to offer, it just isn’t good for zen. And now people are saying Gottlieb ain’t 4k either. I don’t want is going on with this machine.
@@therexershow I never said "Gottlieb isn't in 4K" as I don't have the machine myself, but I do know Farsight hasn't built pinball for a long time. Jury is out on this one.
@@pinballwiz45b I heard it from others. There may even be some gottlieb tables listed on Wagner’s site
I made a table with a Ps5 that looks awesome…and I can plug in a fight stick and play all kinds of vertical games for a fraction of the price
So many other options out there. The shell for Atgames is actually good. But I don’t like the idea of paying for licenses I will never use on the original table if I just rip out the guts.
@ exactly!!!!…ur spending more money to mod and it end up being an Arcade 1up scenario all over again🙄
@@therexershow we need to have GRS to make virtual pinball great again!!!!💪
You guys are way too picky!
I actually don’t care because I didn’t get ripped off. I more care that I got blasted when I said I was wrong and they could do it in 4k and they couldn’t. Then to have a podcast defend them and say “they never said it would be 4k “ just is BS and needs to be exposed. I feel sorry for people being ripped off.
@ if you weren’t cheated as you say, why cry about it all the time?
The whole premise of the show is to help others to not be cheated as you say.
@@steveblersch We dont have the be personally cheated to warn the community a company is misleading the buying public
@ all I can say is I’m happy with my 4k machine and all the tables!
Blahcade was good convo and info ........until they joined the ATGames bandwagon, he should have stuck to Vpx VR.
@@rjclarkeePincadeRebel I didn’t mind them “sticking up for Mel “ even though they shouldn’t have . But I minded them defending Atgames They might be in the Atgames influencer group now.
The screen is 4k, not the tables 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think that’s their position now. “We put a 4k tv in it. “.
@@mikeyyoon spot on. They are too scared to admit it due to false advertising.
@@mikeyyoonThe shills are far from consumer ethical
I don't understand the defense of some of these guys. One guy in chat last night said that the shills are good fathers... like what?
@mikeyyoon 😂😂😂. That’s good I guess. But what does it have to do with not telling the truth. lol
I asked them why there are tons of tables missing from the switch version of pinball fx and I had my comment deleted.nice
@@therexershow Rexer, he's asking about the Nintendo Switch version, not the AtGames cabinets.
All the pinball packs have 4K all over them!!!…isn’t that called “bait and switch”…Bait and switch is a morally suspect sales tactic that lures customers in with specific claims about the quality or low prices on items that turn out to be unavailable in order to upsell them on a similar, pricier item. It is considered a form of retail sales fraud, though it takes place in other contexts.
Correct. And I actually talked with someone before the stream and they specifically said “bait and switch”. I forgot to use that term.
Apparently 4k is just some sort of branding and not a spec... atleast that's what I've gathered from AtGames
@ that seems shady…that’s like coke coming out with a “sugar free coke” that has sugar and say that’s just the name of it
@@mikeyyoon that’s exactly what blahcade said trying to protect Atgames. “It’s just branding “
Zen did the same to 1up empty promises

@@dylanstyles8056 you want torture , go force yourself to watch those show. It’s laughable Restalgia thinks he knows anything about gaming . Hes a joke really. And of course he looks like a fool now.
It's not 4k. It's 4kp!!!
Which means “4k Possible” but not guaranteed.
@therexershow I got to play one of these things. It's not as bad as I expected it to be. The ssf kit is decent. Backglass looks good. Dmd is small but decent. Playfield is ok. I don't think it is consistently getting 60hz. If you want a plug and play virtual pinball machine for 2k or less with decent tables available, this is the only and best option. If you are in the hobby or have pc skills, this is a hard pass.
15:37 Watch the show
And "performance intensive" man that's a great deflection for saying not in 4k as advertised.
And FYI, None of these tables are in true 4k, and some aren't even upscaled to 4k, including Gottlieb tables.
"It wasn't good".. could mean any number of things lol..
@@bactareality yes. It meant “now that we are shilling Atgames and I no longer get free stuff and info from 1up, I’m now saying the truth about 1up how it wasn’t good so Atgames will send me a free 4k.
