"With zero incentive or reward, why would I drive fast?"
"Because you might get laid"
(Drives fast)
Good car is a new car.

it was not only a laid, but a strongly bonded marriage, she has supported him to race again.

How to make a scene exciting .....put two over hyped Italians in the back ground
Alas, an upload of the entire clip.
Tifosi twins
As if it was not to be hyped.
HAhaha 😂😂😂😂
There Austrian
“My car is your car”
That’s gotta be the best line ever😂😂😂😂
"On one condition, it's a piece of shit"
“It’s a-dog shit…”
it's my honor niki, PLIS.
But if you drive it you make a my life very happy haha
When those Italian guys went straight past her and up to Niki, that was the hardest I laughed in the movie... 😄
Those are true car guys
Same!
They are men of culture 😁
Women of such beauty don't like to be "upstaged", especially when a man of prominence is heartfully recognized by other men for their worth, integrity and character.
yeaaa hahaha funniest thing !
The actor playing Niki really nailed his accent.
Indeed. Even his voice.
It likely was easy, as Daniel Brühl is German himself, and an Austrian accent likely wouldn't be too difficult.
@MatauReviews not at all our accents a completly differen, even between austrians there are huge differents between our accents
Easy? It takes quite a bit for a German actor to nail an Austrian accent in English. I´m German and I wish I could do a decent Austrian accent. It´s got style I tell you.
El Wray Jeremy White I did not mean to offend. I'm well aware of the multiple dialects in the German language as I speak it myself. I was just saying it was probably much easier for him as an actual German
Those Italian guys = every tifosi ever
I dont understand why anyone isn't talking about the 2 guys.. the are the most fascinating people in this scene..
then the gear shifts ...
then titties ..
Inspadave also, in italian they specify that it’s the grandma’s car.
perfezione.
Can't get enough of those guys, especially when they are waving (or whatever) at the cars Lauda passed.
Luca Matteo Zizzari and Raffaello Degruttola.
Rest in Peace legend. You will be missed
You just reminded me that he's dead. Now I'm sad...
hard to believe he's dead he was awsome
What he died? Jesus I've been living in Earth's core.
He's not dead
@@kaushikp9196 bc he's living in our hearts
This honestly was the performance of a lifetime by Daniel Brühl. Rarely have I seen any actor portraying a real life person with this kind of precision and commitment. It could not have been closer to the real Niki Lauda. As much as I hate 99% of our German actors and movies, Daniel Brühl is the one standing out and being up there with the best actors in the world.
Maybe the reason being because he’s half Spanish? 😄
Christolph Waltz?
der untergang? bruno ganz?
He had another lifetime performance while playing Salvador Puig Antich, a catalan anarchist who was the last person to be executed by the garrote vil in Spain, in 1974. Most of the film is in Catalan, a language in which he is native also, one of the final scenes, when he is executed, really puts you in the moment.

_Christolph Waltz?_

More humour and tickling speed thrill than the entire Fast & Furious-franchise.
100%.
+Jack Daw you can not compare a masterpiece of a movie to a shit tier series
Well, my bad!
Amen to that !!
+Jack Daw Hahaha :D
Daniel Bruhl should have won an Oscar for that role.
*Wasn't even nominated. Fuck the Oscars!*
are yall serious? that is some bull. it was a wonderful performance by him.
same with chris hemsworth
Rush hd mooоovie heeеre => twitter.com/a80ad628604ea6509/status/795842921685655553 Rush Niki Laаaudaаa meеeeets his wifeeeе
It's very easy to say things like that. "Fuck the Oscars!" for this and that. Bruhl was great in this film but the Oscar for performance in a leading role went to Matthew McConaughey that year and he most certainly deserved it. The other four nominees deserved their nominations as well. It was a strong year for male actors.
Whenever you think an actor was robed out of a win or nomination you should not just look at his performance but take into account the competition. It's not an easy job boiling down the best performances in a year to five and then picking just one.
The Academy has a lot of issues but before you criticise them you need to consider more than just "but I really like this one performance".
This 5min in Rush movie is better than Fast Five, Furious 6, Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious combined.
the gear shifting here alone is better than ALL F&F gear shiftings combined
😂😂😂 so so true!!!
@klobasa007007 hey not all of them suck, at least tokyo drift was awesome.
Not a single Lancia in any of those kids movies. Are there? Thats one reason....
Thats too much now!
The actress playing his wife may be the best "match" of any person ever on film. The resemblance and movements by her went extremely underrated. It is uncanny how well she resembled his wife and her mannerisms. Great movie.
not that much. Marlena had always a candide light smile on her face. The actress mannerism are more british aristocratical style
She is so cute
Germans really are gorgeous people
@@anthonylopez382 Austrian women are beautiful....Then Polish and then French. Ever wonder why the German army invaded the West first? They wanted that sweet love.

They aren’t actors, just normal Ferrari fans
that was the coolest gear shift i've ever seen.......
That's because it was in a Lancia.
I do the same in my 4-cyl 16-value double cam Nissan Sentra all the time.
but you will never be shifting-like-niki lauda cool
I drive auto - idk what you're all talking about =D

If she got any more wet, the car would've lost traction.
Coda Mission I believe the word you're looking for is "traction".
Are you saying there's no floor to the car? I didn't realize this was a clip from the Flintstones.

Honestly, I think the guys in the backseat were more wet than her.
LOL

Or Fernando Alonso
That's why he took it as a compliment niki is the father of a modern f1 driver
Niki's shirt actually wasn't buttoned up either, lol.

It's almost like that was the aim of that moment
Niki Lauda Niki Lauda Niki Lauda these guys were awesome :D
+pachucf Niki is Niki! the best f1 drive-engineer of all times before brabham and piquet
It's called Italian temperament
@Hero...And a blinding love of Ferrari...which as a whitebread boy from Cocoa Beach, Fl, I COMPLETELY understand.
Well just imagine, picking up a stranded dude with a woman and the dude turns out to be one of the most iconic F1 drivers there ever were...and to top that, he goes ballistic with your little car. I would have loved it too!
Ahhaha grazie noi italiani amiamo i piloti della Ferrari anche se l'anno prima gli odiavamo
Thanks italian's love ferrari drivers even if the year earlier we hate when just because now drives a ferrari like Sebastian vettel
I love how the guys walk right past her, as if to say, "you are not as good as you think you are."
her face when she realizes they didnt stop for her. priceless!
Oh they knew she was hot but, it is a Nikki Lauda!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Men love women, but men really love cars.
@@MrMan_47 that would be my same reaction if there was any formula driver vs a hit girl
@@MrMan_47 it Goes back to the original quote in the beginning by Hunt's team owner "Men love women but more then that men love cars!"
My favorite is the subtle change that comes over Daniel Bruhl’s expression when she leans over and says “Because I’m asking you to.” The clinical, scientific part of him exits and the red-blooded man takes over. Brilliant acting, he’s very underrated.
These Italians were great. Their reaction when they passed other cars is exactly what we kids did when my dad raced our station wagon down the road at 90 mph or so.
My favorite scene in the whole movie. It just goes to show, you don't judge a book by its cover. WHAT???? "No long hair? No shirt opened to WHERE?" lol I love the Italian mannerism of the two guys in the back - PRICELESS!
They passed the girl but suddenly stopped when they saw Niki Lauda 😂
Golf Hound , I'm italian and i can tell you in reality it would not happen. They'd leave the girl on the street and take lauda to keep the car 70kgs lighter.
well said hhhhhh
You hit the nail on the head my friend !
great call, but I tend to think You do Alexandra Maria Lara injustice. throwing her out would save fifty kg tops, purse and heels included. :)
This scene is the most tifosi thing that ever tifosi'd. Because those two guys are EXACTLY how awesome the tifosi are in real life.
Watching Niki feeling each little problem in Marlene's car, I thought: "That's me!!"; then this scene came and, watching these two tifosi I thought: "No, THAT's me!!"
rip tifosi #binottoout
Probably my 50th time re-watching this video. I absolutely LOVE this scene, and this movie is LEGENDARY! My hat goes off to Niki Lauda. Getting burnt alive in an accident, but returning to F1 in !ONLY 6 WEEKS! and winning world championships again! That's what I call "balls".
Nick G and still running
Same here
Cannon balls!!!
Massively underrated film.
*All he needs is the Mission Report, December 16th, 1991.*

Yes that was a bad day for car driving Mr Stark, maybe he should have had Mr Lauda as his driver.

min:2:30! "Excuse me, but are you Niki Lauda"? Indeed, the best moment of the video. Recognition, respect and gratitude!
I would act just as mad and excited like the Italian duo if my racing idol were ever to drive my car. Ignore his beautiful companion and keep screaming out his name. Great scene. RIP Niki. Love from India.
And this is before Niki Lauda won 1975 championship.
Those two tifosi are men of culture.. They knew she was hot.. But to them Niki is best girl

I don't see how that borrowed car sequence could have been more perfect. Every word, every glance, every reaction, every camera angle, the music......perfect. When Daniel hammers it and downshifts, everyone else freaks out instantly. Yet his expression is unaltered in the slightest. Driving like a bat out of hell on the edge of disaster is just another day at the office.

The best scene of this movie....
From Daniel Brühl : « The bravest man, I’ve ever met, not only because he was an F1 World Champion in the crazy 70’s and had the most incredible comeback in sport’s history, but also because of how he treated people. Always honest, straight forward, blunt. Niki told you the truth in your face, no matter how uncomfortable. He was totally unpretentious and incredibely funny. I learned a lot from him and deeply admired him. I know how much you enjoyed flying. Race the sky in peace immortal Champ, we’ll miss you. Mach’s gut Niki. »
