- Broadway and recording star Bill Hayes, longtime regular on "Days of Our Lives," discusses his life and career in this 1990 interview with cable TV host Skip E Lowe. Hayes had a No. 1 hit with "Ballad of Davy Crockett".
I am 73 years old and have been a fan of Bill Hayes since I was 9 (nine) years old. We did NOT get a TV until I was 10 (ten).
My favorite Bill Hayes song -- No Other Love from Me and Juliet but originally the music was Under the Southern Cross from documentary series Victory at Sea. He and Susan gave me some wonderful moments when I was a young stay at home Navy wife in the 70s. Lovely couple and absolutely great to watch on Days of Our Lives - among the best story lines ever. RIP Bill and God bless Susan .
Hayes was a great speaker. I had no idea he sang the Ballad of Davy Crockett!
Rest In Peace Bill Hayes
Still going strong and on Days of Our Lives at 97! Incredible!
yeah I came here from Fallon.
I’m glad I have the same birthday as Bill
Jimmy Fallon anyone?
yup
Is Martin Short's character Jiminy Glick based on this guy, Skip E Lowe?
