I’m so excited for you! This is going to be almost as life changing as our WLSs were! I hope everything goes well and you have a smooth and quick recovery! Your surgeon is absolutely right, a panniculectomy would not work well for people like us who’ve lost 200lbs. That’s why I opted for the fleur de lis(the crisscross type tummy tuck). Because I had so much upper belly skin that would have remained as they just remove the apron beneath the belly button. You can barely even see the scars from the incision going down my belly now… it’s literally disappeared lol. My legs are proving to be the most difficult out of all my surgeries thus far though. Not pain wise… all of these have been way easier than I expected apart from the random infections that developed). Also, I literally just got my drains out last week! (At 10 weeks post op lol.) And I FINALLY went back to work on Monday! It’s been rough, as I think my body is in shock lol… I’m swollen EVERYWHERE from being on my feet all day. Doing 12000 steps a day is taking a toll lol. I’m off today, so I’m wrapped up tight like a mummy with compression everywhere and keeping my feet up lol. Weekend I have 2 full shifts back to back so that’s going to be a test for sure! (I close the pharmacy Saturday from 3-10pm and open it Sunday morning from 7am-3pm lol). I’m probably only going to get about 4 hours sleep Saturday night cause I have to get up at 4am for work lol (I walk to and from work 🤦🏻♀️). Anyways, pray for me lol. Also hope that your insurance picks up the bill for these surgeries!!! That would be amazing lol Anyways… great update as always! Excited to see your continued journey as you venture into plastics!
