Craftamo emailed me asking if I wanted to try out their new watercolor paper and, even though I haven't been doing much traditional painting lately, I thought it would be a good chance to get back to it! So here's a little video review of it, which is mostly just me using the paper to make some paintings, because I didn't have much to say about it other than what I said. It's good! The only noticeable difference from other papers is the blue/cold tone to it. It was able to handle many washes quite well, and didn't crumble, especially since I erased on it? Usually, 100% cotton paper is so fragile that erasing on it is enough to have it start beaking apart. This, however, was quite resistant to that. Also, did you guys like the little notebook page notes? I'm really proud of them... They're really cute :,) I hope everyone's been doing great and that you have enjoyed this video! i think in order to do that you have to get better at draw the waist? for me, I was able to do ankles to head just because I was better at drawing the waist. totally freaked me out when I realized lmao

Art is a journey, lots of experiments and you will find that what you draw now and how you draw,and paint will change and get different with experience and with time.Your still very young and just starting out on your journey..You will be so surprised how much you will grow each year .Dont be scared to experiment or try new things .I actually loved the first sketch ,it was light and summery and the other two are beautifully drawn too .🥰

Well I’m glad that the cool tone won’t de saturate the paints. That was my major concern so now I’m considering getting this paper.
I did notice some dessaturation, because well, it's like painting on a cold undertone, so it will desaturante warms and saturate colds. Depends on what kind of feeling you're going for!

Oof, I'm incredibly rusty in watercolors and I think I still have so much to learn... I'm not confident I can be a good teacher at the skill level that I'm at right now :/
Question do you really have to mix the colours to get the skin tone or you just put light orange with thin pigment on it and it looks like a skin colour from the artists I’ve seen some of them use orange for the skin and brown for shading and I feel that I you used orange instead of light orange/red for the skin or do I just have to use both pls can you answer if you don’t mind 😮😮😮🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻????
I'm not waes, but there are a variety of ways you can achieve a skin colour! So whatever works for you is good :)
Yea, I agree with our friend over there! You can use such a wide array of colors to create skin tones... My go to is usually a watered down bright reddish orange with some blue to cool it down or to darken it, depending on how much I use. I'll play around with some reds, pinks, yellows and greens in it also.
