    CBR does not get blocky and weird. Did you mean VBR does??? I was with you until that part.

      CBR does. It’s inherent to how it works, because it cannot change bitrate as the content needs change. It’s the worst possible rate control method to go with

      @@EposVoxClipsBecause you didn't set the right bitrate for your CBR setting. If you get blocky images from CBR, then set the bitrate setting as same or higher as that of the source video before you export. It functions to provide CONSTANT bitrate throughout the video which is determined by the scale you set.

      And the only way to ensure CBR doesn’t cause artifacting is to completely overshoot the target bitrate, which completely wastes storage and bloats file size. Meanwhile VBR and CQP dynamically adjust bitrate to avoid artifacting and keep file size no bigger than it needs to be. CBR is the worst choice to go with for anything but streaming.
