    Considering you could get the XTR hammer drill with the XTR impact driver, 2 batteries, a charger, AND a free Kobalt 24v tool for $249 during the holidays, I think the XTR is a hell of a deal. Great video!

      For a Hundred Dollars $100 💵💸🤑💲MORE? I'd rather get the Flex Bundle kit Turbo Hammer Drill and Quick Eject Impact Driver. It's really worth Spending expensive tool, Flex is the Milwaukee Killer, Milwaukee Destroyer.

    Flex is only a temporary Lowe’s exclusive. Similar to Ego it will most likely be available at ACE and online at ACME they are both made by Chervon BUT Flex is Chervon brand vs kobalt being a Lowe’s brand manufactured by Chervon

    The 6amp hr stacked lithium battery in the flex really makes drill performance better and lasts longer

    The difference in performance doesn't justify the difference in price for me. If I were choosing between the 2, I'd get the Kobalt. A half to a whole second slower doesn't bother me. I won't be racing anyone.

    I wanted flex but i found the kobalt xtr 5 tool kit for $349 the same price as the flex 2 tool combo and the kobalt comes in a rolling hardcase. It was a no brainer.

    THE BIGGER LAG BOLTS ARE FUN TO WATCH ON TEST LIKE THESE. HOWEVER IN THE REAL WORLD I WOULD PRE DRILL TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR MY TOOL !!! WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT OVER HEARING. THANKS DAVID 😁😄👍😁 FOR SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS AND VIDEOS RODNEY

      Yup that is the wisest thing to do Rodney. I learnt my lesson a few years back when I blew my cordless drill when I did not pre drill for a large lag bolt. And if you do not do that you gonna wind up with no drill at all

      I'd also use an impact wrench to put them in. I'd never abuse my drill like that.

    I believe the turbo glitching was just because when the tool gets hot enough, it makes it so turbo can’t be used to prevent overheating.

      With playback speed at 0.25 you can totally tell its spinning in reverse.... Bad test.

      That's just because the speed it was turning matched the frame rate of the camera in a way that made it look like that. If it was actually turning as slowly as it appears to then the BPM would have been extremely low, and we can tell by the audio that it wasn't.

    Chervon seems to use very aggressive overload protection compared to other companies. The drills seem to have more in the tank when they cut out. That really limits the stuff you can accomplish with them. Maybe it will help with longevity if you constantly push it really hard? I don't know, it's just an observation really.

      The kolbalt also cuts off if it feels any kickback to save you from a broken wrist, might have been the cause a few times

    I don’t understand the logic of the 10” lag test why put the tool through a test that you wouldn’t use that tool for in a real situation? With a lag that big I’m sure most people would drive it with a impact wrench and not a hammer drill

    What always sucks at looking at things at a high speed like a drill bit or fan is, depending on angle you look from and lighting, they can actually look like they were running backwards. It seemed like it for the Kobalt even slowed down. But the Flex seemed to do it to when it reached a certain speed.

    Turbo mode light flashes when the tool is to hot to use turbo mode the flex has temp protection @Man Caver Tools

    The flex is definitely a bit stronger and faster but if you can get a good deal on the Kobalt then that would be the way to go

    Flex is a hard sell when the lower priced Chervon brands are already so good. You can buy almost the exact same drill as Kobalt, Skil and Erbauer, only real difference is the battery packs.

    That XTR drill was on reverse during the concrete test huh? Anybody can help confirm?

      Don't think so, look how slow it would have been turning. If it was turning that slowly the BPM would have been super low, and we can tell by the audio it wasn't. The speed just happened to match with the camera's frame rate to make it look like that.

    Have you ever do a video drilling into tile I install showers everyday and looking for the best drill speed I believe is more important then torque

    I think if the drills didn’t have anti kickback features built in, I think they both would’ve sunk that 10” lag?

      I don’t think Kobalt has anti kickback because of the comment about the torque. Flex does have it and it would be able to finish if it wasn’t for that

    Where do you get the bigger sized masonry bits? 1/4" is the biggest I can find, any bigger and they are SDS type bits.

    Flex got the 10 inch lag on turbo mode and with turbo mode off 50 percent or more father then kobalt with 6 plus extra trigger pulls to me flex won that test @Man Caver Tools

    Turbo will have as much if not more torque compared to non-turbo.
    I've seen a lot of people think that turbo would have less torque because it's faster. This is not the case because the turbo mode is electronic not mechanical. It pulls more power from the battery in turbo mode so it should have more torque.
    There is no gear reduction.

    I believe most of your "oops, Kobolt failed" are kickback protection acting. If tool gets quickly twisted a few degrees - it stops the motor.

    Batteries with higher capacity allow for the higher amperage and consequently, higher power output for the same tool.

    Hi there here's another idea
    For the Milwaukee 2 drawers
    Take the top drawer and cut out the bottom and joint the side together with the side of the bottom drawer to make one big drawer

      Well I'm already sold to Flex in only a year Flex destroyed and Slaughtered the King of Tools 👑 the Undisputed, Unrivaled, Undefeated 👑 King of Tools the Milwaukee got Destroyed and Slaughtered by Flex. DeWalt and Makita as well there all been Slaughtered. And that is only just a 1st Generation Flex line of tools

      My flex tools are amazing, and the battery capacity and longevity are amazing. If I was gonna try to save money I’d just buy craftsman tools rather than Kobalt.

      It won't Matter, Milwaukee Gen3 Fuel top notch Impact and Hammer Drill got beaten, Destroyed and Slaughtered by Flex 1st Generation Tools. And Flex have Stacked lithium battery technology Milwaukee doesn't have one and Milwaukee is stuck with their 3.0Ah, 6.0Ah and 8.0Ah High output 21700 cell battery.     Put clutch to 24 not together same on both tools so 🤷 your review dont matter. Tool cut out early bc it was set to 12 vs flex 17 u set it to set both to 24 or drill mood on clutch

    They didn't fail on the 10 inch lags the anti kickback worked like it's supposed to so they did not fail you failed, all you TTI fan girls will say anything to make other brands look bad, Milwaukee would fail that as well do to anti kickback

    Just go SKIL heavy duty half inch hammer drill... No it's not as fast but it's got 1400 in lbs comparable to my Milwaukee M18 fuel that's just me
