Hey!
André Fonseca, Principal Programmer on Tales of Kenzera: Zau here!
Thank you for playing and discussing our game. We hope you liked it.
As for the letterbox bug, it was one of those nasty ones that crept in at the last minute and we didn't notice. Should have been fixed on the day 1 patch.
Parabéns por este excelente jogo!
the in-sync "Go for it Bless" from Tim and Greg was too good
How did no one on the bench acknowledge that!? XD
Thanks for the show guys. Also, that "Go for it Bless" timing from Greg and Tim at 54:21 was absolutely insane hahaha
How did no one on the bench acknowledge that!? XD
Because it was perfectly in synch
41:13 this camera switch looked like Barrett was trying to make it seem like Andy was Rambling lol
I've been out of the country for a month, missed you guys!
I won't do what I did last time with Hades to Hades 2. I'll try and leave the game alone until a week before its offical release. I want to go into this one as fresh as possible, really, whilst scratching that itch.
I get what Mike is saying about TopSpin but I'm loving it. The new timing system is definitely a challenge, but that's what makes it fun.
Been awhile since so many reviews at one time. Feels good.
No one talks about games like Tim Gettys man, guy just gets it. That Hades 2 description was chefs kiss.
He's amazing at hyping up games. The only people that get mad at him are the one's who don't want hype.
@@SaiyanABlazeNinja I think the problem is that he has very limited knowledge of games (because as he admits he doesn’t play that many) and seems to hype all the ones that he does know about. Which is kinda weird, especially when he often hypes games without even realising they are worse versions of games that are already out (obviously not talking about Hades 2 here).
@@BasketCase-rr7tx I have no idea what you mean. I play way more games than Tim (presumably) & I've learned so many things about them from him over the years. He especially has a lot of deep knowledge about games we all played as kids that I haven't even heard from "Did You Know Gaming? videos". And part of your comment is what I don't understand about people, how can you criticize him for liking & hyping games he knows about just because you know of similar games that you like better? He would probably still like the game he played versus the "better" one because he plays them for fun & enjoyment not to play the highest rated game on the charts. He rates games more emotionally than critically and that's how he reviews them & there's nothing wrong with that. He's the heart of the group for that reason.
@@SaiyanABlazeNinja He often talks about games as though they are unique and groundbreaking when they aren’t. For instance when Jedi Fallen Order came out he talked about how he had never experienced a blend of combat, short cuts and the way checkpoints worked and thought it was an original experience. He had no idea that he was literally describing a souls like.
@@BasketCase-rr7tx Aaaah I knew you were a Souls fan. No game can ever be as good as Dark Souls to ya'll and it's ruined gaming discussions for your audience as well. Even if I thought of a different game that did something first that Tim mentions he experienced for the first time in a game he played, I would be like "oh cool that game has it too" instead of "what just play Dark Souls it's the best!"
Stellar Blade review AND a Gamescast? We eatin good boys.
Greg says it’s not the difficulty that turns him off souls likes, and then spends the next five minutes talking about how Another Crabs Treasure is too hard. 😂
When he mentioned he had to turn the difficulty down all the way to get a Glock to insta kill the boss because he didn’t want to get upset actually trying to beat it really had me thinking how much I appreciate single Andy. I feel bad but Andy don’t get a girl or have a kid cuz we’ll lose you too!
This is also a joke. Andy gonna marry Selena Gomez one day.
Don't worry about no girls, just stay gaming bro
@@wgo523 if you think girls like guys who whimp out and cheat then I think it’s you that’s never gonna have one.
@@wgo523 if you think girls like guys who wimp out and cheat then you are the one who’s never gonna get one.
There are so many games I want to go back and play but Hades is a big one especially before the release of this new game. Really looking forward to the new challenges and struggling through the runs again hahah
Stellar Blade is one I hope to get to eventually, the combat mechanics were really tough for me in the demo, but when I finally learned the patterns (similar to Souls games) I got it!
Always appreciate the insight guys! 💙
This is KFG Vol. 2, Episode 232 (Episode 484 overall)
I watched ep1-6 so far of Sand Land and it sounds like the game covers that arc. Edit saw some more B-roll, maybe it covers a lot more. haha
Just read the manga lmao
The noise Greg makes at 10:43 was honestly a little scary, I was only half paying attention and it startled me.
I’m finally getting around to properly playing through Hades for the first time in anticipation for the sequel. This game just never ceases to amaze me.
When is the last time Greg has loved a game he’s reviewed?
I've been waiting for Greg's review on Sandland I knew it would just be a basic Anime cash grab. I don't understand what he saw in it that made him interested, nothing about it reads like a Greg game lol. I love Akira Toryiama but it was obviously just a product made to sell people on the movie & manga.
To play devils advocate. Fast forward to gotys. I forgot what everyone said would be their current goty, but whatever it is, and you got ff7r along with the small portion of hades 2. Is your goty changing?
Rebirth all the way
Tales of Kenzera has really good gameplay; I don’t know what Blessing is talking about lol
I'm also very confused by that. Flipping between the sun and moon powers in the middle of combat to chain together really strong combos is super fun. I'm not a metroidvania guy at all (I'm trying to get into the genre) and in having just as much fun with this combat as I am with Prince of Persia. I'm only about 1.5 hours into Tales of Kenzera and I am hooked.
Mike, TopSpin isn't Mario Tennis. It's a realistic sports sim. Someone else should've handled this review because you're reviewing it for what it's not, instead of what it is, and what it is, is what everyone who loves TopSpin has been begging for, for over a decade.
Another request to please be less nonchalant about bringing illness around each other in the office, especially after what we all should've learned from covid. People being sick all the time isn't normal and we can do better for ourselves and the people around us 💜
Sand Land artist also did Dragon Ball and Naruto. R.I.P. Toriyama
Toriyama didn't make Naruto. That's Masashi Kishimoto, someone who grew up a fan of Toriyama's. Sand Land was both written and drawn by Toriyama as well. Definitely a tragic loss, RIP.
Blessing v. Greg analyzing on Tales of Kenzera ZAU is everything. Greg there's not many afro fantasy video games period. I'm glad Blessing understands that and Greg it would be impossible for you to understand. Flaw in this review. Exactly Blessing with Baba and understanding. Greg you can't imagine
I don't mean to sound like a hater. But as somebody who loves Akira & Anime most of the time you can just tell these games launched by Bandai Namco are going to be basic, a chore style game, and probably not worth your money. It just sucks when I see people not familiar with the formula getting bamboozled by Bandai once in a while the last thing I wanted to mention is the blatant way you can tell these games are made is how Andy, & Greg said that characters blurt random dialogue 6 times every 4 minutes that's because these companies just QA the game to make sure everything works nothing breaks & then ship it out to gullible fans, there's no flow state check or anything that games more worth your time do for testing.
Couldn’t agree more.Only thing worth a damn is anything in the musou genre. And to be fair it’s not like those games are breaking the mold so I would still file them under the serviceable category. Really a shame to see with such incredible and almost endless source material.
@@gumgumleobazooka Lol I love that you have a One Piece profile too so you know where i'm coming from. Cause I felt this same way when One Piece World Seeker came out. That was the closest I ever saw potential for an Anime game to be a AAA masterpiece and thanks to Bandai Namco it was sized down to be a bland open world game. Like you said so many amazing ideas to pull from & somehow they make every single game from any Anime feel the same.
I think I'm out of the target demo now that I hit 46. Not really interested in these games.
That’s too bad. Hades is some of the most interesting and creative work going on right now. Perhaps it should be on your radar.
@@Kmaitland89 played the first one. It didn't click with me.
Might I recommend Gas Station Simulator, Power Wash Simulator or House Flipper 1 and 2? They might be more your speed and are all surprisingly solid games. If you want to get a little weird with it, Hardspace Shipbreaker is one of the best games ever made imo
@wyrmslayer1991 thanks but I'll stick to God of War, Spider-Man, and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.
I mean they just spent the last month talking about FF7 Rebirth, that story came out when you were 20 so it's odd to me if you felt no connection to the content.
I also get very confused when people say this, they have 11 people that talk about games differently & every week it's something new and different idk how someone can't find something to relate to with that.
its funny that every time blessing likes a game i hate it and when he hates a game i love it. i though Tales of Kenzera ZAU had a good story with a lot of emotions and humor. the game play is solid. and thank good is the game not too long. its a great game i think, did not deserve a 3/5, i even say that it is as good as the prince of percia game if not even better.
you are insane to think that Tales of Kenzera ZAU is a bad game. its is great. i think the story is about being a narcissist, because he think he can just do the thing and get his father back. like he is a hero who can do anything.
How is that a narcissist? That's just being hopeful or having false hope.
@SaiyanABlazeNinja u'll understand someday Yung one
I don’t think it’s fair to give a broken game 4/5. I think if it’s broken, you need to announce that it’s broken and it should receive a score because of it. Don’t get me wrong gaming today. Some bugs are expected should be expected but when you’re telling me there are significant bugs it should reflect your game. There is a point where you should be offering me a product that functions as it is supposed to
Yall just hate spoilercasts for good games smh
unfunny podcast
Sweet Baby Inc worked on Tales of Kenzera.
Sweet Baby Ray's*
Ok?
People who crusade against Sweet Baby Inc were never going to buy a game with a Black protagonist about African culture
