Did you waight a couple of hours before starting engine? Becose you change oil seal thets why im asking
Great video mate. Is it possible to change the wet belt while changing the crankshaft seal or do you need to remove the sump to get access to the oil pump? Is the oil pump timed? Thank you.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. Sorry about the late reply. As far as I know I dont think you have to take the sump off. But bot 100% sure.

Perfect I'm doing the crank seal today. I've got some rtv high temp sealer, will that be OK to put on the sump mating surface or does it have to be the vw gasket maker?
It should do the job but I really recommend the vw gasket sealer
