I attended a MiVision PD recently and the rep shared how there are so many components that it can be overwhelming, so a tip was to choose a few areas to focus on and add more as you feel comfortable. (I know that’s not as simple as it sounds.) They also advised to edit the assessments (eg. delete answer choices or questions) in order to match what you taught and what data points will be helpful for the teacher to inform instructor. I hope hearing that is helpful in some way! Thanks for your content!
This is my 17th year and it takes me so long to plan. I am trying to become efficient like you are. One thing that takes the most time is making the slides I am going to teach from. Would you like to share what yours look like and how you create them?
Amazing. Learn how to lesson plan with math was amazing and the reading. How you look and read for key information really help. Again thank you so much. I’m still I’m high school so this a perfect way to do this.
We use myView. Can’t say I love it. Pulling the core skill and doing that close read task during the shared read has freed up some time for small group or writing. Its also kept the week more focused during whole group. We will also type up the listening comp passage as an additional fluency practice passage if the cold read just isn’t cutting it that week. Hope this helps.
Love these type of videos! Made me motivated to open pages and lesson plan myself! Especially with this week being the 100th day of school + Valentines Day! So thanks for the motivation-haha! :)
Very well done! Does Admin request/require your lesson plans? Ours does not. My planning is done in a planning book with pencil. I find that so much of my planning gets shifted as the week progresses. Cheers!
