    I love that is does not include a subscription like Whoop and so many other Apps do. I'd much rather pay once and be done with it. Whoop is over $250 per year, so that is quite the investment, however I wonder if Ultrahuman will keep this pricing model for long, ultimately they all realise they need to make more money long term.

    Nice vid. An interesting complementary one would be a test with Ultrahuman Ring, Whoop, Oura ring, etc. comparing their data day after day with your feeling each morning for instance (and before looking at any ring/strap). Good job btw :)

      do you use any of those smart ring brands?

  • @JPost-fn1xu

    According to Tech Support the ring will only monitor Blood O2 during "nocturnal events", sleeping, not 24 hours a day. However, the tech stated that 24 monitoring might be a good idea.

    It would be ideal if the data collected could be imported to Garmin to factor in with their Training Readiness algorithm. I'd much rather use a ring to sleep tracking than my Garmin watch, but since the sleep, HRV, etc. metrics are factored into their entire ecosystem, I'll be stuck wearing a watch to bed until either Garmin allows the importing of the info or makes their own smart ring...

    How was the sizing kit compared to the actual ring? Im struggling with the sizing in between sizes it seems.

    A great review BUT the biggest problem with rings and a lot of watches to be fair is battery life, I don't want to be charging anything weekly my current Garmin gets charges 3/4 weeks.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  4 месяца назад

      Hard to beat Garmin batteries. I do find the ring charging experience to be seamless and easy. No cables to fiddle with. Just drop it off the charging base which I always have by my bedside for a couple of hours and you are good to go. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

    if import your workout data from Apple Health will this impact you readiness and recovery score on the ultrahuman app? thank you!!

    Nice video. I have the Ultrahuman Ring for about 2 weeks now. Some of the metrics are a little bit strange. When my VO2 Max goes up my cardioage also goes up. I‘m 37, well trained and my cardioage is 40 😂. The movementscore is also not very accurate und the HR when doong a workout is completely wrong 🙈😂

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  4 месяца назад +2

      Yeah I noticed the same with cardio age. Seems to be some relationship with how recovered you are. Generally I noticed when I take a recovery day, my cardio age drops. The workout HR is in beta and I figured, it’s not gonna be as good as a watch or a heart rate monitor.

    Hi Tariq, So can this be used as a heart rate monitor paired to my Garmin 810 for cycling info?

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  4 месяца назад +2

      No, it can’t be used as a heart rate monitor. There is a workout feature that is currently in beta and continues HR recording isn’t spot on yet. However, it doesn’t broadcast HR data.

    Subscriptions on wearables are deal breakers. I currently use Ultrahuman air and
    Apple Watch Series 8. Ditch them in a New York minute if they go to subscriptions.
    Won't buy a new wearable that has a subscription.

      I like to grab the work out button on the Ultrahuman app or use my Garmin 4s then the Strava will post to the Ultrahuman app.

    that's a lot of great insights from such a small factor device, but if you need to record an activity (swim, run, workout, etc) it seems you still need another device to do so.... 🤔 and that secondary device may be able to provide most if not all the same insights. Unless i'm missing something

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  4 месяца назад +1

      That’s true. Most smart watches these days offer similar insights and collect similar data and even more. However, some of the best insights you can capture is while you sleep and most people don’t like wearing bulky watches while sleeping. The ring solve that issue and package those insights into a nice, easily digestible app.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  4 месяца назад +1

      They have a workout feature that is currently in beta that will track and store your HR data. You can also import your workout data from Garmin, Apple Health or other platforms if you use a different device to track your workouts.
