Tomorrow another is coming
@@EscapementWatch you’re doing the lords work .
Hahahahah
Wow, I just discovered this watch today. It looks stunning. Such a unique style. This one is going straight to the top on my list.
This watch is great - I wear it with the green nato all the time . Only negatives are the lume very low, and wears a bit large, at least for me. Otherwise the color, accuracy and looks are great! The box it comes in can fit a hobbit
Beautiful design on this piece. If the lugs were shorter I would be reaching for the wallet.
Definitely my next watch, just wish there was a smaller case version.
Beautiful watch, love the dial. Brown, Green and Bronze LOVE IT!
One of the most beautiful watch I have ever seen. I will buy it for Christmas.
I’ve wanted this watch for years… I’ve also wanted to upgrade my Omega (20 years old now)… I’m thinking the Seamaster can wait because they haven’t changed much. This combination of color and materials is amazing.
I own this piece now and it's one of the most beautiful watches I've seen. Honestly it can hang with way, way more expensive watches like Rolexes, Tudors and say the jlc Polaris.
I am impressed with Longines' Heritage line.
Same!
I think it's definitely a cool piece and well done Longines 🔥🙌
It really is!
First me LONGINES is the best of the best, I love it since 1974, I have a few vintage ones, great video
i love the long lugs for my big arms!
Very original design. Surprised no one's tried to copy it.. The "inner bezel'. Maybe they own the rights
No they don't own the rights nor did they invent it. This is an old design from the late 50s and 60s by created by E. Piquerez S.A. (EPSA) and over 100 different watch companies like Longines, IWC, Enicar, and Jaeger-LeCoultre. used these cases with the inner bezel under the crystal.
100% agree. No date
Wow incredible saphire! Smoked green with the gold tone of the case .. just wow .. Not sure about the wing span .. Awesome watch and video! Well done :)
i realize I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch new series online ?
@Randall Beckett Flixportal =)
@Amir Randy thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it !!
@Randall Beckett No problem :D
Wait for the patina - very nice!
I spilled my drink when I heard the lug to lug, but what a beautiful watch. That’s one of my favorite greens I have seen. Preferring the darker tones. Fantastic videography as usual.
This is what stops me buying such a beautiful watch - lug to lug is ridiculous
A very handsome watch with an interesting take on a bezel, which I do like. The lume is my only complaint, especially when you consider that currently on my wrist sits a Seiko SLA047, which is currently lighting up my hotel room.
Yea that lume almost deal breaker
Beautiful and great review - hope it’s not too big for me
Fingers crossed!
In Vietnam in the Sixties this watch ad some pain to the ……. 😉
Love this piece... cool matching buckle on the Nato!
I think so too!
Absolutely gorgeous watch!
How does the patina develop on this ? What color will it become??
9:07 oh wow
We have similar wrist size. On your wrist this lug-to-lug does not look so bad as it sounds.. not bad :)
they should offer this at 40-41mm thought and max 50 lug-lug, if possible.
39mm definitely needed. They do make a 36mm which I'm curious about
Love this watch. But yikes horrible loom. Seems to be it's only flaw
When did 42mm become huge? Good size for me. The lugs are huge but it might still work....but no date!! Seriously I do check the date during the day sometimes, I wear a watch so I don't have to look at my phone.
A lovely looking watch. Just glad they don't do it in a 38-40mm otherwise my wallet would be on danger.
Sooooo much this
@@EscapementWatch what's your favourite longines so far?
Sector dial or silver arrow
@@EscapementWatch I love the silver arrow.
Date or no date doesn't bother me. But if the lug to lug distance is 45mm, and the case diameter is 39mm or small, this Longines will definitely be one of my/my wife's many Longines watches collection. What a pity!
Gorgeous looking vintage diver FT. Can't believe how well the Fumè green dial works with the bronze case. Buy why of why do Longines keep making watches with such enormous L2L dimensions? Great brand and heritage but excluding ppl with smaller wrists. Amazing video as always !! 👌
Longines likes long elegant look on their watches. This is why their 38.5mm watches wear so well. New Longines video coming in 12hr
Looking forward to it!!
If they had a proper in house movement, Longines could be back up with the big R. Their designs are superb at the mo. Check out the 2 tone Hydroconquest.
But its also hard to argue with a top tier 2892 improved doing 0 seconds a day in 2 positions. Longines re-worked the kinematic chain on their movements so its inhouse-ish. with great results. If they made a new inhouse just for the sake of breaking away from eta based brand then the price would probably be double on these watches.
Their Designs are Horrible and generic. I wouldn't put this on my wrist. As I look at their website. I see a mass production of some of the ugliest faceless watches. Longines, Along with Multiple other names haven't Existed for decades now. The mass produced Movmnts don't bother me as a $500k RRoyce is basically a BMW now. Every Brand or Name just cannot sustain by itself or make their own parts.. What bothers me is that an average $2k Longines is basically a $400 Hamilton or Tissot. They all come from same Parts Bin. So its a marketing scam! This watch should be $500! One more thing . There's a video of a guy showing a Longines Heritage. As he pulls/pushes the Crown, the Dial shifts left/right along with crown. He demonstrates this but says..."I love the watch so I'm willing to live with the Defect." I bought some vintage Citizen and even a few 80s Longines watches on ebay and none exhibit such an embarrassing quality control issue. Matter of fact Not One of my 15 watches has that issue. The Swatch Grouop or whatever they call themselves should concentrate on Quality rather than Quantity. But its always about $. And that's what's destroyed the world.
Lol it's a 2892 it's better than anything below say a caliber 8800 from omega or so. It's half the price to service compared to a Tudor MT movement and for a 3000 dollar watch I ain't paying 600 bucks for a service like Tudor is charging. The l888 line ia 200-250 and you can service them anywhere. No point in putting anything else in their watches for Longines since they basically have sole right to use the 2892 as a base from eta. Mido have a few pieces with 2892s but that's it, no one else has those in the Swatch group even.
@@highwaystar3780 they make over a million watches a year dude. Rolex makes 1.5 both have QC issues.
You just hear about it less for Rolex as most Rolexes aren't actually worn they're just bought and sold over and over again... Or kept in some watch box with 150 other Rolexes.
@antonhallergren588 I have a Heritage Chronograph Column wheel L2.742.4 which I love even though it's Too thick. To me it's the Only Longines with Any character as I simply don't care for rest of their collection!
Chulada de reloj , mi favorito es en esfera azul.
Such good watches for the money. Longines quality now getting to '00s Omega levels. Great movements. I do like these - wish they still did a black no-date. But, as ever: the lugs, the lugs, the lugs! Ok over a wetsuit and they are very downturned, but even so... You're gonna need 55mm wide wrists to avoid overhang. Mind you, they do make a 36mm... But, my main gripe with these is the lume! Dude, it sucks. One part of the vintage experience we don't need! The lume on Spirits' is awesome, so L can do it!
Yes they can. These printed dial while spirit has applied filled lume.
Great job on the video review 👏 👍! Lovely watch.
Glad you enjoyed it
Gorgeous. I want one.
Go for it!
L2L is no problem
green and gold is a looker
Thx. for a great video. May I ask: Whats the difference between this Longines and the Helson Hammehead 42? (non bronzed version)They look very much the same - but the price is much lower on the Hammerhead.
Very long L2L 😭😭
Is that watch available in 36mm ?
The hands lume lasting all night
Oris, You got me at hello 😻 another super duper review 👌
This is a Longines! Not an Oris...
@@EscapementWatch oops my bad.. it is special with the 3 features.
This would look good on my 7 inch wrist but my wallet says otherwise...
Love the look of this one, but the lume is disappointing.
Wasn't the Zenith the first wrist chrono?
Nope. Longines followed by Breitling who added a separate pusher.
would be too big for my sub 7" wrist. Shame
I am first again. Well your notifications are working. That’s a great looking watch
Yes you are! And yes it is!
I like this but when you can get an în house green Oris aquis for the same money it's hard to justify the cost
no date all the way :)
This watch Is amazing how the fuck could they fuck up these measurements. My wrist are huge (20cm) but u wouldn’t even think of wearing this. If it was 40-42mm and 47-49mm lug to lug around would buy it in a heartbeat.
Same
Does it have a ghost date position?
that's typically only an issue on some microbrand offerings. You would never find that in a watch of this caliber
pun not intended!
Nope
i like LONGINES but 25200 VPH is crap for a watch at this price range. Same shit with the omega seamaster 25200 VPH. For that price you a hi beat seiko 36000 vph . ORIS AQUIS has more at 28800 VPH.
The measurements of this watch is totaly out of sync!
I like a no date. But I don't mind it if it has a day date. Date just is just too simple. If it can do a date. Then it can do a day date.
