Extra PvP tips: Use Berzerker Rage for the extra rage generation from damage taken when fighting against classes that have no CC's that you need to save Berzerker Rage to break (such as Druids, Hunters, Mages, Paladins, or Shamans). Normally you gain 1 rage per 90 damage taken, so you'd have to lose 4500 health to get 50 rage. With Berzerker Rage active, you gain 1 rage per 30 damage taken. So if you lost 2000 hitpoints it would give you 66 rage instead of 22 rage. This is useful when you're closing in but you haven't been building rage with auto-attacks because you've been out of range, but you're about to make contact. For example, if you're fighting a hunter, and you know you're about to be able to close in on him but he'll be getting in a few more hits before you finally make contact, pop Berzerker Rage in advance, soak some hits and build up lots of rage, and then unleash that rage on the target. Another trick is to weapon swap to deliberately reset your swing timer to avoid breaking CC's whilst applying a desired effect (Disarm/Rend/etc). For example, you're trying to Disarm a Rogue who has Evasion up (and he's Adrenaline-rushing you). You want to toss a grenade at him, so you weapon swap first to reset your swing timer, then you won't break the grenade incapacitate, so you can cleanly Disarm, and then also land an auto-attack hit.

I rolled warrior for the first time ever for som . Played rogue and lock my whole life. I thought I wouldn’t get very far but this guide took me from noob to bis and from bottom of pvp boards to top. Yes it’s four hours. I have listened to it the whole way through multiple times . It’s that good

Watched the video twice, thanks for the effort! I typically never comment but saw someone mention that they unsubscribed because the video was damaging classic. I think that's wrong and you not only added value to my classic wow experience, you did so to everyone that watched the video by getting a few good players together and discuss the class.
No warrior guides have imp charge... I speced back and forth 4 times trying all those talents to maximize for pvp spec, and imp charge is the way to go. Difference between having rage for a MS or sweeping strikes.. and not. Its actually huge and ppl not doing that are doing it wrong. Imp hamstring is so rarely usefully in comparison because if something has hamstring your hitting it anyway. Glad someone else has finally said this.
As a new warrior in season of discovery, this is super helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this. I have played Hunter, priest and mage but warrior is def much more in depth mechanically and im just not trying to suck haha

I've been leveling more efficiently while dual wielding. I swapped at 49 with a cheap hammer of the northwind and searing needle (only cost like 5g for both). Heroic strike spam is really powerful. The other thing I'd like to note is leveling rend. There are some fights I've had where I can't attack for several seconds. Like tar lurkers in Ungoro that put a huge slow on your attacks and all the tar dudes disarm for like 6 seconds. Rend isn't insanely powerful but, it does your offhand damage at least on the target. Or the smithing dwarves in Searing Gorge that are essentially impossible to hit for 9 seconds with the steam debuff they put out.
wow really alot of great info here! especially the part about the aura limits, and how weapon attack speed affecting damage was normalized, it doesnt affect attacks that replace your white attacks. this is a great video.
My first char ever was a orc warrior.. took me ages and ages of noobing around to reach 60. I just got a computer and about to step back into classic again with a warrior. So hyped.
Tonight I got my first 60. It has long been a regret of my life that I failed at WoW at launch with a 20 warrior picking up duel wield and giving up unable to hit anything and never being able to find the fire totem guy on my shaman. This was in no small part to the GMA guys and the info and enthusiasm you provided. Thank you.
This was extremely awesome. I mained a warrior back in the day and was often near or at the top on recount a lot of the time and I didn't know half this stuff. Could only imagen how bad it would have been back in the day. Would love to see more of these for other classes. Hint hint druid my main this time around haha

@17:20, there is the sentiment that there is a rage bonus for crits. This is not ENTIRELY true. (at least at lvl 60), the numbers for rage generation is simply that you generate 1 rage per 30 damage dealt, and 1 rage per 90 damage dealt to you., (Both happening AFTER armor reduction) So your crits will generate more rage, and the cost of HS is indeed greater if it would have been a white crit instead, but it is not intrinsic to the crit, but rather intrinsic to the higher damage.
the guys explanation of weapon speed normalisation at 30:00 is incorrect - prior to the patch damage was calculated based on the damage per swing on your weapon, and there was an additional multiplier based on your weapon speed. after the patch this multiplier still exists but it is a flat value on all weapons, regardless of their speed. even still, slower weapons hit harder when you use your abilities because they will have a higher damage per swing than a fast weapon of the same dps. It's a little confusing, but the way it works now is the way that logically makes sense - slower weapons hit harder - but prior to the patch not only did slower weapons hit harder, but there was an additional hidden multiplier based on the slow speed that made them hit even harder again, hence why arcanite reaper was so feared in vanilla whereas in classic it is really not worth the arcanite bars tldr weapon speed damage bonus was normalised, but slow weapons still have a higher upper end dmg than fast weapons if all other things are equal, and upper end damage is what is used to calculate ability damage :)

I noticed many complaining about how this hurts CLASSIC. That's b.s.,, Just cause those complaining can't do all the stuff in classic ,shows where their mechanics and skill come into play. I went to a dungeon in a objective and got my cherry broke because I couldn't fly or use some of my abilities .My respect is given to those who played CLASSIC WOW and have evolved to what there is now. I'm new to WOW but I got my ass handed to me and was impressed.It has made me a better player since I gave grinded these last 3 weeks and lvl'd up just by 3 dungeons and the rest objectives. Good video by the way. Again,I only see problems with those people with little skill and wanting things on a silver platter.Some things you have to earn and not just lose track of what the Lord and the game teaches.

deep wounds does more with a 2h because you attack less. any time you crit, it resets the timer and tick of deep wounds, so if you crit every 1.5 sec, as an example, you will never do 1pt of dmg with it

Damn, I wish I could have been a part of this conversation, would have been nice to be an Alliance side representative. It was pretty apparent on the rotation section as well with all the hamstring talk. Notable BoE's that were missed is the Blackdragon Scale set (Shoulders, Chest, Legs, Pants). Good BoE weapons for Alliance: Ebon Hand, Sword of Zeal, Mass of McGowan, Assassination Blade. Pick up Mirah's Song for offhand. Boots of the Vanguard from AQ20 can compete and surpass Chromatic Boots when you don't need hit. There wasn't much talk about the Heroic Strike Que effect. I'll briefly list it here: In Classic World of Warcraft, the act of queueing an “on next attack” ability such as HS and Cleave introduces another mechanic. When this occurs, the DW penalty on your OH swing is removed. Meaning, instead of having the 19% DW hit penalty, you effectively have 100% hit chance when you have Heroic Strike or Cleave queued. Nothing ever surpasses chromatic boots, especially once in AQ having more than 6% hit, there is no negative to having it. BDS was really good in Phase 1 and 2 but in general, it gets broken up a lot in Phase 3 as Drake Talon Pauldrons and Chromatic Boots break up the set and BDS legs alone aren't better than Devilsaurs. I would admit we didn't cover pre-raid BiS for alliance all that much. Your suggestions are definitely great. The CWL picker tool will definitely show those if you select Human Warrior! Belemrys I’m not sure how you could saying nothing will surpass chromatics when Boots of the Vanguard certainly can when hit capped. Similar to how Girdle of the Mentor could replace Onslaught.
@@Juggs_WoW Girdle of the Mentor can replace Onslaught (barely) but even at Hit Cap % Hit has an intrinsic value (whether it is raising the crit cap or just rage generation by not missing as many off hand hits). I measure it at 7-8 AP. So it is still 3 EAP behind Chromatic. Also there should be some value to the extra stamina and armor.
Belemrys if you’re talking from a tank perspective armor and stam could have some value sure. Generally as gear gets better, and especially as a fury prot tank, hit over cap will become useless as you will have heroic strike queued 100% of the time. This means your offhand will also have a 100% hit chance.
While leveling due to the Heroic strike "feature" DW fury is really really strong, your offhand hits give you plenty of rage to spam HS with your main hand, buy far the fastest single target questing build.
Recently made a warrior (undead) and decided to primarily tank, dps not as much. I very much like their racial attribute to get out of stuns/ sleep. Very beneficial when pve going against bosses. Helps get out of sticky situations avoiding more dmg.
The deep prot spec was confusing. they mentioned that heroic strike should not be used for threat generation as deep prot, yet they dump 3 points in improved heroic strike in deep prot build at 1:43:29
Got my Lion Heart helm for free, I farmed the mats and paid 2400g on Cloudkeeper. Thanks, Blizzard, for the terrible dps/pve itemization for warriors. Half of my gear now is from ZG. Q_Q and the stuff I need from BWL have less than a 5% chance to drop.

I have no idea why everyone says warriors are so slow! My warrior had about a full day less /played than my warlock did, and I didn't dungeon cleave on either of them. I mainly quested and tried to do each dungeon at least once to knock out the easy dungeon quests and get a couple gear upgrades every few levels. By the time I was 42-45-ish, I was just wrecking through and rarely had to stop to eat. I didn't follow a specific build, but ended up with more fury talents than arms and zero prot, using mainly a 2H weapon. I got Whirlwind Axe at level 33 with some help from a guildie, and that was a massive boost that got the ball rolling toward the new play style (compared to level 1-30). I wasn't rushing by any means and it took me many, many days played to get 60 for both of them, but so far, warrior has been my fastest leveling. I'm working on a shaman now and I think she's going to edge him out by half a day or more because of the run speed boost from 20-40. Maybe the way I was playing warlock was just a really crappy, slow play style and that one is the outlier on the slow side.
The 3/31/17 fury prot build, you drop 2 from Toughness and 1 from Dual Wield Spec for the 3 points. This is PURELY TPS build though and taking all advantage of Heroic Strikes.
At 2:33:53 you were saying both of those items gave +5 in daggers however I figured I should let you know and everyone else the distracting dagger from diremaul actually gives +6! :p
This is great, but i think you didnt stress enough that lot of the values you use is not valid for most of your viewers. For example you assume that runs are done while fully buffed all the time - most people here will not hit buff cap in their classic career in my opinion, so they would absolutely befenit from putting +8str on their helmet. Just making that distinction would be benefitial in my opinion. Another example - You claim those instant 5 sunders will increase your dps by 32%? Some people will think that their overall dps on that boss will increase by 32%. That value might be correct but only for certain lengths of fights, right? If your fight lasts 1,5 minute there is no way the difference between all warriors sundering and only tank sundering will be that huge. It will still be very benefitial but not that crazy amount. All im trying to say is.. For people who need this guide the numbers are often not the most optimal. Not hating, just something to consider. Good job! Massive guide!
Yeah the dps increase is for trashes mostly as long as it takes 6 to 8 seconds. I agree that on bosses the dps increase is less! Hit cap is the same as no buffs change that. More hit does help raise the buff cap which is only a consideration with world buffs.
@@Belemrys i didnt talk about hit cap at all my man.. i said people will not hit buff cap - as in they will not reach buff cap. I was only making a point that if you never reach buff cap, of course enchanting your helmet will be beneficial.
People really underrated deep prot for pvp in vanilla (15 Arms, 5 Fury, 31 Prot). Not sure how the meta works in Classic (just started playing again, after quitting since Cataclysm), but you make a fantastic peeler or flag/cap defender because you're really sticky and have a ton of tools for unexpectedly disrupting just about any class. Shield slaming through a priest's or mage's shields or a Pally's blessing cooldowns, counter-stunlocking rogues, or stunning and sundering down a pally's armor then silencing them so they can't bubble when your heavy hitters catch up feels godly. Does pretty well against hunters too, since you can revenge stun the hunter from avoiding pet damage while strafing. You're always rage starved, but that allows you to stance dance with impunity to make use of all your low cost utility. The trick is to wear agility leather and bait people into attacking you by dual wielding till they make the mistake of focusing you, then swap in the shield and make them regret it. I always played tauren for the leeway and even more control with war stomp. Can also be fun as a backup, slow moving flag carrier since you can reactively peel melee off yourself with revenge stuns whenever you out-position them. It's a very frantic, reactive/proactive playstyle with a ton of fun mind games involved and a high skill cap. I actually levelled through that spec (arms first, then prot, then fury) on a pvp server with my brother playing a feral/balance druid (23 balance, 21 feral, 7 resto). Counter-ganking anyone that tried to mess with us and 3-4 manning dungeons were always a nice break from the tedium back then.
I am always amazed when NO ONE recommends Fury for leveling. I'm leveling as DW Fury now and it is sooooo good. The damage you put out is just ridiculous with some decent, cheap BoEs from the AH and Piercing Howl is a godsend. There are some very good BoP weapons all the way up too if you're willing to run a few dungeons for them. Not to mention it's more difficult to fall asleep when you actually swing your weapons more often and I feel like misses/parries/dodges/etc are much less punishing.
The reason I wouldn't recommend Fury at least until level 48 is because not having Tactical Mastery really hurts, especially when tanking 5 man dungeons or doing PvP. One of the funnest parts of playing a Warrior is stance dancing, so you're kinda hamstringing yourself if you don't get TM early on.
@@gamergod9182 I just don't find it to be that much of a problem. I'm in Battle Stance while leveling and Defensive Stance while tanking, the few times I might need to Mocking Blow in leveling dungeons I've usually dumped my rage anyway so I'm not losing much when I swap stances.
@@Jonra1 You can believe that if you like, but my leveling is going extremely smoothly and things die pretty damn fast. Without TM I think it's better to sit in BS.
From a parsing perspective, I want to see where a good baseline is for dps per encounter when you are not running world buffs as a WAR. Too many variables to come up with a conclusive range, forces you to do timeline breakdowns to see if you did well or not since the API doesn't track buffs really at all unless they are applied during the encounter.
Mining and engineering. Engineering is a direct dps boost and PvP advantage, then you can also farm mats for blacksmiths to make stuff for you, like Lionheart Helm.

Great video. Just need to make clear of OH for orc dps warrior. I now run with DB/flurry axe. And aim for 2x DB Will any other axe in The game atm increase my dps? 2nd part of question. Is blackdragonscale set (legs boots should ers) worth to use instead of the pre raid bis should ers boots and legs?
Frostbite is the offhand of choice. You get it by being revered in alterac valley. 2x DB isnt that great as dps offhand penalty is 50%. Frostbite has a great top end as well as 15 strength which is 30 ap. Black Dragon Scale is great pre raid BiS, just know that BWL replaces two of the 3 commons pieces you would use, shoulder and boots. So devilsaurs and truestrike shoulders with bloodmail boots are probably fine for now.

Just wondering about the Swing Timer , if I'm levelling as Arms Warrior , I only need the main hand timer right ? One other thing now I heard and that when I hit a mob its worth hanging off a GCD before applying rend so first white attack goes off right ? As I have charge and rend in a macro , so maybe I should wait a sec before applying rend Despite being a almost 4 hour watch as its so good it flies by lol . I'm glad some guys mentioned Elvui and I'm feeling I want to have the basic look too lol
i don't understand why they don't enchant the helmet? do the librams take up a buff slot or something? whaat? and if you enchant one of either helm or legs with a libram, should it not be the one you don't replace? i know im misunderstanding here completely, so what's the deal?

eh imp hamstring is pretty clutch in wsg since it helps u peel for fc sometimes
Imp charge is highly situational and only really decent solo. Imp hamstring is also a potential game winner in WSG.
One thing I'd like to see that wasn't covered is going over which abilities to buy whilst levelling to preserve gold. Other than that, great video.

@17:20, there is the sentiment that there is a rage bonus for crits. This is not ENTIRELY true. (at least at lvl 60), the numbers for rage generation is simply that you generate 1 rage per 30 damage dealt, and 1 rage per 90 damage dealt to you., (Both happening AFTER armor reduction) So your crits will generate more rage, and the cost of HS is indeed greater if it would have been a white crit instead, but it is not intrinsic to the crit, but rather intrinsic to the higher damage.

the guys explanation of weapon speed normalisation at 30:00 is incorrect - prior to the patch damage was calculated based on the damage per swing on your weapon, and there was an additional multiplier based on your weapon speed. after the patch this multiplier still exists but it is a flat value on all weapons, regardless of their speed. even still, slower weapons hit harder when you use your abilities because they will have a higher damage per swing than a fast weapon of the same dps.
It's a little confusing, but the way it works now is the way that logically makes sense - slower weapons hit harder - but prior to the patch not only did slower weapons hit harder, but there was an additional hidden multiplier based on the slow speed that made them hit even harder again, hence why arcanite reaper was so feared in vanilla whereas in classic it is really not worth the arcanite bars
tldr weapon speed damage bonus was normalised, but slow weapons still have a higher upper end dmg than fast weapons if all other things are equal, and upper end damage is what is used to calculate ability damage :)

I went to a dungeon in a objective and got my cherry broke because I couldn't fly or use some of my abilities .My respect is given to those who played CLASSIC WOW and have evolved to what there is now.
I'm new to WOW but I got my ass handed to me and was impressed.It has made me a better player since I gave grinded these last 3 weeks and lvl'd up just by 3 dungeons and the rest objectives.

deep wounds does more with a 2h because you attack less. any time you crit, it resets the timer and tick of deep wounds, so if you crit every 1.5 sec, as an example, you will never do 1pt of dmg with it

Notable BoE's that were missed is the Blackdragon Scale set (Shoulders, Chest, Legs, Pants).
Good BoE weapons for Alliance: Ebon Hand, Sword of Zeal, Mass of McGowan, Assassination Blade. Pick up Mirah's Song for offhand.
Boots of the Vanguard from AQ20 can compete and surpass Chromatic Boots when you don't need hit.
There wasn't much talk about the Heroic Strike Que effect. I'll briefly list it here:
In Classic World of Warcraft, the act of queueing an “on next attack” ability such as HS and Cleave introduces another mechanic. When this occurs, the DW penalty on your OH swing is removed. Meaning, instead of having the 19% DW hit penalty, you effectively have 100% hit chance when you have Heroic Strike or Cleave queued.

Yea... Alliance representation was severely lacking.
Nothing ever surpasses chromatic boots, especially once in AQ having more than 6% hit, there is no negative to having it.
BDS was really good in Phase 1 and 2 but in general, it gets broken up a lot in Phase 3 as Drake Talon Pauldrons and Chromatic Boots break up the set and BDS legs alone aren't better than Devilsaurs.
I would admit we didn't cover pre-raid BiS for alliance all that much. Your suggestions are definitely great. The CWL picker tool will definitely show those if you select Human Warrior!

Belemrys I’m not sure how you could saying nothing will surpass chromatics when Boots of the Vanguard certainly can when hit capped. Similar to how Girdle of the Mentor could replace Onslaught.
@@Juggs_WoW Girdle of the Mentor can replace Onslaught (barely) but even at Hit Cap % Hit has an intrinsic value (whether it is raising the crit cap or just rage generation by not missing as many off hand hits). I measure it at 7-8 AP. So it is still 3 EAP behind Chromatic. Also there should be some value to the extra stamina and armor.
Belemrys if you’re talking from a tank perspective armor and stam could have some value sure.
Generally as gear gets better, and especially as a fury prot tank, hit over cap will become useless as you will have heroic strike queued 100% of the time. This means your offhand will also have a 100% hit chance.

While leveling due to the Heroic strike "feature" DW fury is really really strong, your offhand hits give you plenty of rage to spam HS with your main hand, buy far the fastest single target questing build.

Watching this as I level up my brand new orc warrior
Recently made a warrior (undead) and decided to primarily tank, dps not as much. I very much like their racial attribute to get out of stuns/ sleep. Very beneficial when pve going against bosses. Helps get out of sticky situations avoiding more dmg.

The deep prot spec was confusing. they mentioned that heroic strike should not be used for threat generation as deep prot, yet they dump 3 points in improved heroic strike in deep prot build at 1:43:29
They probably mean that it shouldn't be used as threat generation, but it still can be used to dump rage.

Got my Lion Heart helm for free, I farmed the mats and paid 2400g on Cloudkeeper. Thanks, Blizzard, for the terrible dps/pve itemization for warriors. Half of my gear now is from ZG. Q_Q and the stuff I need from BWL have less than a 5% chance to drop.

I have no idea why everyone says warriors are so slow! My warrior had about a full day less /played than my warlock did, and I didn't dungeon cleave on either of them. I mainly quested and tried to do each dungeon at least once to knock out the easy dungeon quests and get a couple gear upgrades every few levels. By the time I was 42-45-ish, I was just wrecking through and rarely had to stop to eat. I didn't follow a specific build, but ended up with more fury talents than arms and zero prot, using mainly a 2H weapon. I got Whirlwind Axe at level 33 with some help from a guildie, and that was a massive boost that got the ball rolling toward the new play style (compared to level 1-30). I wasn't rushing by any means and it took me many, many days played to get 60 for both of them, but so far, warrior has been my fastest leveling. I'm working on a shaman now and I think she's going to edge him out by half a day or more because of the run speed boost from 20-40. Maybe the way I was playing warlock was just a really crappy, slow play style and that one is the outlier on the slow side.

The 3/31/17 fury prot build, you drop 2 from Toughness and 1 from Dual Wield Spec for the 3 points. This is PURELY TPS build though and taking all advantage of Heroic Strikes.
World buffs are essentially an additional set of gear for warriors.
At 2:33:53 you were saying both of those items gave +5 in daggers however I figured I should let you know and everyone else the distracting dagger from diremaul actually gives +6! :p

Unbridled Wrath for DW Fury warriors should generate more Rage per Minute based on Weapon Speed, compared to a 3.00 2H Weapon.
This is great, but i think you didnt stress enough that lot of the values you use is not valid for most of your viewers. For example you assume that runs are done while fully buffed all the time - most people here will not hit buff cap in their classic career in my opinion, so they would absolutely befenit from putting +8str on their helmet. Just making that distinction would be benefitial in my opinion. Another example - You claim those instant 5 sunders will increase your dps by 32%? Some people will think that their overall dps on that boss will increase by 32%. That value might be correct but only for certain lengths of fights, right? If your fight lasts 1,5 minute there is no way the difference between all warriors sundering and only tank sundering will be that huge. It will still be very benefitial but not that crazy amount. All im trying to say is.. For people who need this guide the numbers are often not the most optimal. Not hating, just something to consider. Good job! Massive guide!
Yeah the dps increase is for trashes mostly as long as it takes 6 to 8 seconds. I agree that on bosses the dps increase is less! Hit cap is the same as no buffs change that. More hit does help raise the buff cap which is only a consideration with world buffs.
@@Belemrys i didnt talk about hit cap at all my man.. i said people will not hit buff cap - as in they will not reach buff cap. I was only making a point that if you never reach buff cap, of course enchanting your helmet will be beneficial.
People really underrated deep prot for pvp in vanilla (15 Arms, 5 Fury, 31 Prot). Not sure how the meta works in Classic (just started playing again, after quitting since Cataclysm), but you make a fantastic peeler or flag/cap defender because you're really sticky and have a ton of tools for unexpectedly disrupting just about any class. Shield slaming through a priest's or mage's shields or a Pally's blessing cooldowns, counter-stunlocking rogues, or stunning and sundering down a pally's armor then silencing them so they can't bubble when your heavy hitters catch up feels godly. Does pretty well against hunters too, since you can revenge stun the hunter from avoiding pet damage while strafing.
You're always rage starved, but that allows you to stance dance with impunity to make use of all your low cost utility. The trick is to wear agility leather and bait people into attacking you by dual wielding till they make the mistake of focusing you, then swap in the shield and make them regret it. I always played tauren for the leeway and even more control with war stomp. Can also be fun as a backup, slow moving flag carrier since you can reactively peel melee off yourself with revenge stuns whenever you out-position them. It's a very frantic, reactive/proactive playstyle with a ton of fun mind games involved and a high skill cap.
I actually levelled through that spec (arms first, then prot, then fury) on a pvp server with my brother playing a feral/balance druid (23 balance, 21 feral, 7 resto). Counter-ganking anyone that tried to mess with us and 3-4 manning dungeons were always a nice break from the tedium back then.

I am always amazed when NO ONE recommends Fury for leveling. I'm leveling as DW Fury now and it is sooooo good. The damage you put out is just ridiculous with some decent, cheap BoEs from the AH and Piercing Howl is a godsend. There are some very good BoP weapons all the way up too if you're willing to run a few dungeons for them. Not to mention it's more difficult to fall asleep when you actually swing your weapons more often and I feel like misses/parries/dodges/etc are much less punishing.
The reason I wouldn't recommend Fury at least until level 48 is because not having Tactical Mastery really hurts, especially when tanking 5 man dungeons or doing PvP. One of the funnest parts of playing a Warrior is stance dancing, so you're kinda hamstringing yourself if you don't get TM early on.
@@gamergod9182 I just don't find it to be that much of a problem. I'm in Battle Stance while leveling and Defensive Stance while tanking, the few times I might need to Mocking Blow in leveling dungeons I've usually dumped my rage anyway so I'm not losing much when I swap stances.

From a parsing perspective, I want to see where a good baseline is for dps per encounter when you are not running world buffs as a WAR. Too many variables to come up with a conclusive range, forces you to do timeline breakdowns to see if you did well or not since the API doesn't track buffs really at all unless they are applied during the encounter.
Whenever I lose world buffs I am parsing in the 80-90 range. I have seen 95s before.

Mining and engineering. Engineering is a direct dps boost and PvP advantage, then you can also farm mats for blacksmiths to make stuff for you, like Lionheart Helm.

Frostbite is the offhand of choice. You get it by being revered in alterac valley. 2x DB isnt that great as dps offhand penalty is 50%. Frostbite has a great top end as well as 15 strength which is 30 ap.
Black Dragon Scale is great pre raid BiS, just know that BWL replaces two of the 3 commons pieces you would use, shoulder and boots. So devilsaurs and truestrike shoulders with bloodmail boots are probably fine for now.
