For those who don’t understand. We raise our guitar behind the musician as a nod to their talent. Been doing it for 40 years. Has nothing to do with self-attention. It is an honor to the one you are pointing to. From the jazz scene to Johnny Cash, it is the equivalent of bowing at the master’s feet while playing a song.
I was SOOOoooo THRILLED to see YOU and SIERRA on Wednesday Night on ABC at the CMA's No LESS !!! Just learned THIS week U been PALS since Pre-Teen Days !!! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO U Girls were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!!!
oh look, talented musicians playing their hearts out on an American Classic with heaps of amazing talent on display and thats it, cause thats all we need for great music, thanks Molly and everyone on that stage!
I agree with most of these comments America's sweethearts singing America's music. The stage belonged to Molly Browyn and Seara. They are America's best.❤❤❤
What a stunning version, those girls are playing real music at such a level the best take on a TP song, and he sang the song perfectly, well done all!!!
It the world didn’t know you before, they do now! All the gals were spectacular. Bronwyn, Sierra, and Molly. I enjoy Dirks, but y’all stole his thunder on this one.
Much better mix then what I got over the air, you can tell Molly wants dbl tempo so bad lol. She holds herself back a few times wanting to pick it up. Much Love
@@markbegley1564. You should really get to know their music. Bronwyn, who is the fiddle player is also in a band with Molly Tuttle and she’s awesome.. Sierra hull is the mandolin player and she’s done a lot of jamming with Molly Tuttle and she’s a prodigy in her own right.
Agree it was extremely flat, dynamically speaking, and I suspect it felt that way onstage based on everyone's demeanor. Still, I'll take what I can get from anything that goes on in the music industry of today - at least they were playing and singing live!
I'm sure this was Molly's show, but... It would have been nice to see Mike Campbell there, too. He was an integral part of the Heartbreakers. He can play an acoustic, too...
It's the CMA music awards show and this is from a country tribute album to Tom Petty.it's the song Dierks Bentley Did on the record and he ask the gals To play The show with him.
CMA blows. Ask this dude to claw hammer and he will never keep up with anyone else on stage . Molly and Bronwyn are the real country music stars. Dierks is Hollywood .
I don’t think anyone should be criticizing Dirks, because he did bring them to perform and get their CMA exposure. However, as excited as I was for the performance and the girl power of this trio, it was horribly planned and staged. Who needs all those back up players in the background with these talented musicians? And when it came time to highlight their solos? The sound was horrible. The CMA‘s are usually better than this, at least in terms of their sound quality. And while I don’t think Dirks was trying to take away from the women with his more showy guitar moves, I do personally think he should’ve kind of stepped back out of the way during the solos, and let those three have the spotlight. But more than anything it’s the bad sound that ruins the whole thing.
I don't think that's fair or accurate, though. Lol. He invited them, and made a point of featuring them. And he doesn't make his living as a picker. So I'm pretty sure jealousy wasn't on the menu.
Not sure I would call Molly’s music Country - she is a bluegrass performer. But if she gets exposure to a wider audience by performing at these events then good for her….
@@officialWWM bluegrass is superior to country and the players are more talented too. 😅 country is slow draggy whiney stuff. Bluegrass kicks ass at 140 bpm!
I don't think she's purely a bluegrass performer either, bluegrass based obviously but I'm thinking that she's a musician transcending all stereotypes. She just plays and sings whatever she wants, puts her own spin on it, and sounds fantastic. I typically listen to rock, blues, Soul, R&B, and right now I've been listening to Molly on a daily basis. I've watched her live streamed with her band, and I have a real need to see them in person. She is a rare talent.
That dude just needed to get out of the way, it wasn't about him. And the mix was terrible. Molly got like 10 seconds to show the world she is one of the best guitarists out there. Sad.
Really great seeing Molly, Sierra, and Bronwyn all at the CMA Awards, brilliant.
More talent than all the "cowboys" there. 😅
Made me real happy too!! All three are amazing women!

If I had known Molly Tuttle was going to be on the CMA Awards, I'd have watched it!
Ditto. Was Mean Mary there? She should be.
Those are, some American Girls!
Dierks is cool and all, but why not let one of them take this one on lead vocal? 😅

What about the other two?

What? Huh ? No Autotune, tape loops or drum machines? No samples ?
Yall look and sound amazing! Thanks!
Those lead sequences were awesome and Dierks Bentley did a darn good job capturing the mood with his voice and body language.

Got tired of hearing it on the radio by Tom Petty. Thanks for bringing it back to my A-list.
Too bad Molly's mic wasn't turned up so you could hear her.
Tom is smiling 😊 RIP 🙏
Wow, the mainstream Nashville / TV mix is really obvious on this track… set and forget and hope the compressors take care of everything
