hi! Im currently trying to build this base but I got stuck at the freehand bunkers part, Ive tried for about an hour already and I just cant get it to open after I replace the square found with triangle, everything checks out as per your video, any help?
My #1 upgrade that I do to this base is to use the triad stair bunker on the shoot leading to the 2nd floor and the shoot leading to the 1st floor (main core). They are relatively cheap (once you build them you never have to use more HQM to seal) and are a bitch to get through. The only downside is that if they do manage to get through it, or even destroy just one of the stairs, you can't replace it without destroying other walls. But even then, you'd still just end up with the same base layout as is shown here. So it's not all that much of a downside really.
I'm currently in a village of tons of people. Everyone has gotten offlined except the person in the temple v2.. This base has a reputation. People know how it works but still don't mess with it and that's impressive.
This base seriously has never been 100% raided on any server I've ever been on. When I've done it solo, I've never been successfully raided. Insane design really
Good to hear :)) Hope the streak won't break But really, even for clans, when they see the keylocks, mostly they know there's no way to make profit so... yeah. You survive.
Thanks, this is doing well in my wipe so far. Would love to see how to build the shooting floor. Is there a tutorial for that already uploaded somewhere or coming soon here?
Some thoughts about your base design : I play on a biweekly sweaty solo server and so far got raided to TC twice. Both time they did not find the free hand loot room as they did blow from 2nd - 3rd floor and then went to 1st floor. They might have used about 35-40 rockets to raid both times. My experience on that kind of solo server (got 5k hours) is that people go to 1st floor and TC and that’s pretty much it. Sometimes they make a full raid, but it’s unusual. So, next time I build your base, I would add a 4 boxes loot room on the fully sheet metaled 4th floor and keep very good loot in there (I usually spread loot out in my base anyway as I keep on playing when raided). When I built it , I made the mistake to compound first, then add the freehand loot rooms. Was a very bad idea as you can’t place all triangles to check if it’s working. I also did struggle a lot to place the freehand square as you do in the video (like 15 minutes), I had to do it from the other side and it then it became fairly easy. Overall your base is great and I like it a lot :)
So here's a thing, you don't actually HAVE to replace the freehand square with a triangle. It's just a bit more cost efficient sometimes (you do need some extra foundations around it, to to rebuild from if it gets softsided) And yes, that is pretty much everyone's experience with the base: Raiders will go through doors, missing the bunkers, or they will blow through the side and get 1 bunker, usually. Usually nobody bothers to get everything and then you rebuild, and the next day THEY get raided, and in the end ur the only base around :P
If you destroy the metal wall opposite of the entrance door on the 3rd floor, you have ladder hatch and then hqm roof leading to the TC. This sounds weak to me and this ladder hatch is a flaw here but as you said, spreading the loot and external TC will help keep most of the loot and base first of all.
Had temple V1 for the whole wipe - solid as base 🤙🤙 Only mod I have made is added a smallish heli tower on top! Put door frames off of the side roof peeks to add stability Also used your spotlight trick (from your other video) to deter nighttime grubs. Great base design! Big fan
Sweet :) You can also use the shooting floors from "trio heaven" if ur rich enough. That makes it a REALLY fun base to use. That said I'm not a big fan of copter garage on top because of the render bug where people can see ur mini from kilometers away if it's high on the base, and this can also tell them if you're home or not sometimes.
@@divine_rays inside compound usually, attached to one of the external buildouts. But I often play in villages, so u can have a "communal" garage. etc.
@GameLightz, can you elaborate on what results in the freehand bunker wall being favorably reversed? I've done it by accident. My favorite base, from my fav base designer. I do it with a roof bunker to the core (empress-style, reversing path of travel on level 2), and once even with another roof bunker to level 3, which let me use fewer doors. Another version had a shooting floor / kit room on level 4, and mini hangar on roof. And since I never reach auto turret status, I integrate furnace base / stables / refinery / flank base with external TCs.
Very good question. It's better because there's no chance of there being a tiny pixel-sized gap at the corner. With multi-tc, there's a gap that's wide enough to let a rocket through, though inconsistently. With freehanding that is extremely unlikely, but if it actually attaches to that corner, it's outright impossible :) Also, I love that viewers take my template and make it their own. That's the best.
@@GameLightz Thanks for the reply. I wasn't clear in my question -- I meant, how does one achieve this superior freehand placement, with the attachment at corner? Is it easier to achieve if placing the freehand square foundation from the right-hand side of opening?
@@bubbavox I'm sorry. You can either do the freehanding process from the other side (a bit more difficult), or try to consciously angle it so that it connects to that side and not this side, so to speak. It's a very versatile technique, once you get used to it.
The problem with some of these bunkers and designs, that I’m finding, is that one must build on some pretty flat terrain for them to work. Even with the small footprint here, you may find that you run into an patch of ground that appears flat enough, but isn’t. Place this foundation pieces a little higher to give yourself some breathing room.
I 'm going to use this but I made a few changes. 1. Stability bunker at TC drop down. 2. Added a covered jump down from door to ground. It's an amazing build and can't wait to put it to use.
Am I just an idiot or isn’t it 32 rockets if they go from the side on bottom floor directly to tc? Additionally why are those 3 bunkers good? Wouldn’t it be better to make the tc core a bunker to make the cost higher for raiders. Or is it a they have to get all 3 so it adds up kinda idea.
50 is for TC and the 3 bunkers. The idea of the base isn't to never get raided. No base will do that. The idea of this design is: 1) To be small and unassuming enough so that larger groups won't bother with it 2) To still have the ability to play the next day after an offline raid, with the hopes that your bunkers will be left unraided in a doorpath raid, or 2 of your bunkers will be unraided in the case of a straight-to-core pummel.
@@GameLightz The one that at 9:31 that you put a garage door on? if so, nope it is there. I will log into the server to see if it has a different snap point.
There are always trade-offs. If you want cheap and strong, you're going to sacrifice in space :) In the end it really depends on what you want from your base. This, for me, is my go to, since I just want to not get raided :>
@@GameLightz I really like the design because it's so easy to expand up. I've never needed much room so I'm happy to trade space for raid security especially as a solo. Next wipe I'm giving this a go!
hello i was wondering if the bunkers still work after they removed the basic bunker designs a few months back btw great base very good tutorials wish you the best
Great base, used it for a few wipes now. Do you have a video for the "alternative shooting floor", I cant seem to set it up the way you did with the walls under the triangle frame peeks
For some reason I have trouble placing the garage doors in the starter section (3:14). I don't know why but it's just red and doesn't let me place it. I've tried moving things around and stuff and still nothing. Please help!
For the bunkers, I upgraded the garage door frames and rotated before I did the freehand square foundation. I can get the freehand wall to 79% but the roof doesn’t open the bunker. On console by the way
i am having trouble getting the square foundation down for the bunker (8:45) any suggestions? feel like im replicating what youre doing exactly, not sure what i am missing.
practice it a bit on a build server. It gets really simple once you do it right a few times and figure out how it's done. Last 2 wipes I used this base and built all the bunkers either first or second try
This is definitely the best base..... I would say that having a bunker in the 1st floor jumpup is the only improvement... I shall do a video on how to do my version of basically this same design except with roof bunker to enter 1st floor... Essentially this exact design except a halfwall honeycomb on top of 1st floor + Bunker..... I also tend to have the 1st floor jumpup going from 1st to 3rd floor but I shall try alternating jumpup/elevators like you do in this build. Your version is less vulnerable to raiders getting access to several floors and bipassing the bunker if they get lucky and shoot the elevator wall. Also alternating the jumpup/elevators instead of 1 elevator for all floors, you make it so that the roof/elevator access is the front door, and that allows you to seal the entire circle with walls instead of having a doorframe to the outside on the 2nd,3rd,4th floor... The entire 360* is sealed with walls until the 3rd floor in your design... Very strong... You could even skip having the entrance on the 3rd floor, and have the entrance on the roof where you would have to climb a net and or ladder hatch to climb up totop floor.
I dig the upgrades to the base and look forward too seeing more concepts from you. I remember your first Temple build, that video had a great storyline with great Egyptian flavor. i would love to see a series of "builds to the Gods" Doing a farming, fishing or electrical base, in that same style. just a thought.
That kind of stuff is random inspiration. Sometimes I do storytime and weird stuff, usually I don't. I wish I was that gifted and inspired, but I ain't. I could force it and make those types of videos exclusively, but that'd mean I can't release a video every 2 weeks
I'm currently at 4:28 where you use the triangle roofs to get to door. But later on in the video you remove the roofs to add the bunkers, how am I supposed to remove them now?
@@cxptain-_-9157 It was just a demonstration of random buildups. I could have been more clear I suppose, but that's clearly a wood roof. That said, you can pick out stone with about 5 picks in a couple of minutes too
what is the best way to get into this base after its final build? and can show us how to add the trio shooting floor that was shown in the trio version of this base.
You get in any way that works. Ladder, furnace, wooden roof piece, research table, there are tons of ways. Also, there's a much better shooting floor you can try, I show it in my newest video, on this base :)
@@GameLightz Iv'e seem the example in your recent video, one question tho, does the bunker triangle floors require connection to external TC or is it from the main base tc.
Anyone have a tip on getting the square foundation for bunkers (9:00 mark) placed properly? (the one u check for 78 or 79% stasbility on wall placement)
Practice until you get it :) Try to get it attached as close as possible at first, then try to create a tiny gap on the far side :) It's something that needs to be practiced a bit on a build server
I've used a similar base many times, usually I build a hex core with a single roof honeycombed level and do the whole base metal with a stone shooting floor, the base is so cheap I just make another one next door when my loot justifies it. Great design once you get used to moving around it.

hi! Im currently trying to build this base but I got stuck at the freehand bunkers part, Ive tried for about an hour already and I just cant get it to open after I replace the square found with triangle, everything checks out as per your video, any help?
@@norbico17 Good thing you came to my discord then and we worked it out :)
So it's not all that much of a downside really.
any chance you can link a screenshot or sanc code? I rly want to check it out :)
i barely watch rust building coz ive had my go to base for like 2 years now but i think this will be the first one i give a proper try
Just had the most kick ass wipe, all thanks to this base. Looking forward to the version with the shooting floor. Keep up the incredible work. 🙏🏼
he already made a video on the shooting floor ruclips.net/video/Bh-qM9mzlis/видео.html
Always love your builds and this is no exception. Awesome job bro, keep going!
Masterpiece
great build like it alot putting it to a test on this weekly wipe
cheers
Beautiful.
Just now I read the description to the end ... and I saw that good wishes were sent to me ;)
Hey that's me! :D
I'm currently in a village of tons of people. Everyone has gotten offlined except the person in the temple v2.. This base has a reputation. People know how it works but still don't mess with it and that's impressive.
Haha! :)
I love that :>
This base seriously has never been 100% raided on any server I've ever been on. When I've done it solo, I've never been successfully raided.
Insane design really
Good to hear :))
Hope the streak won't break
But really, even for clans, when they see the keylocks, mostly they know there's no way to make profit so... yeah. You survive.
As always simply brilliant.
and because i like little shortcuts, you can simply input "steps 60" into f1 console, works just fine.
Wish I knew about the village. :)
Amazing solo base and awesome video. Super well done 👍
Thanks a ton!
we need to play a wipe again imy
I agree fully, what are ur forcewipe plans
"that will save your wipe guaranteed *not guaranteed*" got me xD
dyanna enjoyers in chat?
glightz simp arc
Thanks, this is doing well in my wipe so far. Would love to see how to build the shooting floor. Is there a tutorial for that already uploaded somewhere or coming soon here?
Nah, just wing it :)
Or you can load up "duo dream" on builders sanctuary and look
2020?
that never happened
Some thoughts about your base design :
I play on a biweekly sweaty solo server and so far got raided to TC twice.
It's just a bit more cost efficient sometimes (you do need some extra foundations around it, to to rebuild from if it gets softsided)
And yes, that is pretty much everyone's experience with the base:
Raiders will go through doors, missing the bunkers, or they will blow through the side and get 1 bunker, usually.
IDK ABOUT STRONGEST
Sup rodent :) You're linked in the description
Solid update my friend! Was already a good design but I really appreciate your dedication to improvements. Lets go get those dork campers 👍
That's the plan!
I want to mess with this build and add a wide-gap shooting floor to 4th floor. Great build! Thanks
Legitimately the best builder AND you have amazing video presentation. What are the odds?
50/50 - either I do, or I don't
Had temple V1 for the whole wipe - solid as base 🤙🤙
Only mod I have made is added a smallish heli tower on top! Put door frames off of the side roof peeks to add stability
Also used your spotlight trick (from your other video) to deter nighttime grubs.
Great base design! Big fan
Sweet :)
You can also use the shooting floors from "trio heaven" if ur rich enough. That makes it a REALLY fun base to use.
That said I'm not a big fan of copter garage on top because of the render bug where people can see ur mini from kilometers away if it's high on the base, and this can also tell them if you're home or not sometimes.
@@GameLightz Do you build heli garages on the ground near your base?
With freehanding that is extremely unlikely, but if it actually attaches to that corner, it's outright impossible :)
Also, I love that viewers take my template and make it their own.
Exactly. It's a case of experience making the huge difference, knowing exactly what would fit terrain and how
I 'm going to use this but I made a few changes.
1. Stability bunker at TC drop down.
2. Added a covered jump down from door to ground.
It's an amazing build and can't wait to put it to use.
New drinking game: take a shot every time he mentions the triangle splash bug.
I'm Brazilian and I play on playstation 4 I'm going to try to make this base but I don't understand any English hehe. congratulations on the work
:)))))
Sorry!
It doesn't work on console anyway (the bunkers won't work until the next console update)
The idea of this design is:
1) To be small and unassuming enough so that larger groups won't bother with it
2) To still have the ability to play the next day after an offline raid, with the hopes that your bunkers will be left unraided in a doorpath raid, or 2 of your bunkers will be unraided in the case of a straight-to-core pummel.
I have a problem with the part at 8:49 when placing the square foundation. It never turns blue and says close to another builting
You might have forgotten a twig frame inside the gap
@@GameLightz The one that at 9:31 that you put a garage door on? if so, nope it is there. I will log into the server to see if it has a different snap point.
@@Ahijado94 No, not the garage door one. The one you build the "correctly oriented" triangle ceiling piece on.
@@GameLightz It is working now thank you!
that's nuts, at 2:43 that's already something like 21 rockets
There are always trade-offs. If you want cheap and strong, you're going to sacrifice in space :)
In the end it really depends on what you want from your base. This, for me, is my go to, since I just want to not get raided :>
@@GameLightz I really like the design because it's so easy to expand up. I've never needed much room so I'm happy to trade space for raid security especially as a solo. Next wipe I'm giving this a go!
@@Kurtz6603 Good, Good!
I went 2x2 shop front airlock and a 7 man got straight through most but also didn't have enough explosives
freaking banger of a vid
hello i was wondering if the bunkers still work after they removed the basic bunker designs a few months back btw great base very good tutorials wish you the best
They only removed one kind of bunker. This works :)
Great base, used it for a few wipes now. Do you have a video for the "alternative shooting floor", I cant seem to set it up the way you did with the walls under the triangle frame peeks
There are many ways to make a shooting floor for this. If you want, come to my discord, I'll show u
For some reason I have trouble placing the garage doors in the starter section (3:14). I don't know why but it's just red and doesn't let me place it. I've tried moving things around and stuff and still nothing. Please help!
try jumping around while placing it
I built this base and some solo I was rivaled against wasted all his boom only to not get a single piece of good loot. Amazing base
That's what this base does best.
For the bunkers, I upgraded the garage door frames and rotated before I did the freehand square foundation. I can get the freehand wall to 79% but the roof doesn’t open the bunker. On console by the way
And that's why you should always read the video description just to make sure :)
it does if you do it right
Have you seen anyone make a wide-gap around this? Trying to think of how that'd be possible! Thank you!
Done it, didn't like it much, but you can try shooting floors of the type of "trio dream" (an old base of mine), that'd work excellent
i am having trouble getting the square foundation down for the bunker (8:45) any suggestions? feel like im replicating what youre doing exactly, not sure what i am missing.
practice it a bit on a build server. It gets really simple once you do it right a few times and figure out how it's done.
Last 2 wipes I used this base and built all the bunkers either first or second try
Could u maybe make a video about how to make that shooting floor?
Sweet:))
Have you checked out "The Grail" though?
It's stronger, more cost efficient, and has every flippin feature for only a little more cost
Love the videos
When's the v3 video coming, looking forward to it.
They are wood, you can softside them in about 30 seconds with a metal pick or machete:)
I upgraded mine to stone, probably should have gave disclaimer. Also you didn't show how to build it, I'm here for a building tutorial
@@shady4everr These bunkers get upkeep from the core.
Anyone have a tip on getting the square foundation for bunkers (9:00 mark) placed properly? (the one u check for 78 or 79% stasbility on wall placement)
Practice until you get it :)
Try to get it attached as close as possible at first, then try to create a tiny gap on the far side :)
It's something that needs to be practiced a bit on a build server
love your vids
I've used a similar base many times, usually I build a hex core with a single roof honeycombed level and do the whole base metal with a stone shooting floor, the base is so cheap I just make another one next door when my loot justifies it. Great design once you get used to moving around it.
Yup. As a solo I wanna be about efficiency. Other stuff is a far second :)
