Nice to see you again and very excited to see what you will do with this Awesome Toyota Hilux model from RC4WD. The TF2 I find is a love of scale and open to a variety of things that each owner can do with to make it as they so there uses for it. Have fun and looking forward to seeing your vision.
This is the most honest review of this very expensive rc I'm glad you made this video now I'm having second thoughts on buying this crawler specially when it's and RTR but need to modify some parts before you use it. Thanks
It has some limitations but overall I consider it a better design than the TF3. The Marlin TF2 design is more capable IMO.
It’s the best leafer out of the box. Yes it’s expensive… but to me so is a Traxxial trash truck… they cost about the same and are all plastic fantastic
@@StefanStefanski-yb5pd I like axial and Redcat but for the price a lot of axial rigs are jus....not the best quality. I LOVE my SCX10ii and its an amazing starter but plastic links and a controller for a toddler for 350 buck? I know they can do better.
nice to see tou again. i was waiting for a video release for the last couple of days. really interested the progress of your eb48 2.0 , excited to see you race again too.
Tekno EB48 2.0 content likely in late June. I have all the parts for a new race eBuggy, but have not started building it yet. I’ll be showing the AE T6.2 and some 10th scale racers first. 👍
Awesome stuff. You’ll definitely have fun with this rig. Just takeoff a couple of the leafs really helps also the A&M garage upgrades make a huge difference
Cool truck I just got don't building my tf2 Mojave kit😊 Definitely a different experience but enjoy it
This is why I prefer the kit version trucks
I just ordered one tonight. What king of connector did you use to go to a xt60
Deans or T-Plug because I had it on hand, if I didn't I would have used XT60
If you wanted one to keep up with the axles and stuff you should have got the c2x but I have the Marlin to I love it as a leaf sprung rig
yep, it needs upgrades and flexing, get this truck more bouncy for the (Marlin.)
ever figure out why it was rusty with chewed up drive shafts? I've ordered a few things from RC4wd you need to locktite them together but they're not to bad over all, the rust tho is concerning.
Looks nice reminds me of a tamiya hilux type truck.
Yup that’s exactly what it is, as close as they can get without paying for official licensing by Toyota.
@@netcruzer I’d imagine they’d have to pay Marlin some royalties for this one lol
If there was rust on my brand new rig that I paid very good money for that would be going back immediately. If that got wet and rusted what else got wet in that box. Maybe it’s just me but no way would I except that.
Definitely disappointing, but it’s just cosmetic surface rust, if it causes premature failure I’ll definitely mention it in follow up videos.
Lmao man you have no clue what you’re talking about. It’s because it’s metal. Garantee you those plastic piles of shit Traxxials would rust too. I’d take this thing as a shelf queen before any piece of garbage axial or element. Also if you think $500 is “good money” you clearly chose the wrong hobby or you need to prioritize your funds.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who was thoroughly disgusted with the lack of instructions. This is my first RC car. I was totally clueless. Fortunately, there's youtube.
I always thought in order to be a Crawler, it will need link suspension... definitely 🤔
Lol what? Look at real trucks. Look at the real Marlin. Maybe you should think before you comment…. 🤔
You had to get a supppppper old stock one lol
Not feeling calling this a marlin crawler edition they didn't mod the doors.
Did you just refer to this as “toy grade”? 🤣 ok dude, ya lost credibility there 🤣
Because it's not painted.. the red plastic hardbody of the Marlin edition does look more 'toy' than the white hardbody you are intended to paint on the other versions of TF2.
I had/have an scx10 which I may still drive but last year I bought an element RC enduro builders kit.. I got the aluminium chassis brace pieces from front to back to stiffen the chassis up. I put a 35 turn 550 can brushed motor , Hobbywing 1080.
A spt steering servo. It's got not fast but at full speed it climbs like nothing in its way.. I put metal beadlock rims and tyres. Have a hard body to fit.. jeep Cherokee ute.. (same style as yours) . My truck is heavy as but that's not even with the body on it..
To buy an RC4WD here down below the equator is a lot more than what my element RC cost me.. if I looked at a vanquish vs410 it would be triple the cost..
