I was talking to Peach today and got REALLY hyped on wanting to play HAKUOKI again... And I don't know, if it was this, or because of HAKUOKI POPULARITY during those times... Well. I may be mistaken, but I REALLY will put my money on second option. While art style REALLY looks beautiful for me, I can't help, but see certain Hakuoki guys in those here. As, You said 'maybe You will see fight, or more conflict' - this is what WEST people often was whining about with Hakuoki, as it is 'too history focused'. Not liking GOOD GUYS, we already agreed on it. This guy reminded me of Heisuke, for example, from what You say... But Heisuke character ended somehow deeper with all Furies thing, that happened... So, yeah. All signs on earth tell me to not try go through OliSoire prologue and play some GOOD, OLD HAKUOKI. 🤣 As even CG in Hakuoki, while PSP version had not too much 'steamy'/romance ones, even basic CGs had deep meaning, like mc watching guys fighting, bonding moment, or all gang interaction. Like when doctor came check their health and it was converted to half chibi, comedy CG. 🤷🏻♀️ So, as ART catched my interest, from what You say, I will rather not be interested, too. 😁 Btw. Here I thought the game was about war and fighting - no Yes, no kiss CG is the worst otome crime in the world...even the FD only had a few ............ Same for me! Art is quite alright, but the "plot" too weirdly paced ...11 hours common route of nothing, than slow character route for 5 hours and the last two hours slightly interesting But as I said, might as well just been my expectations who stopped me from enjoying this game more for what it is

@@LinLinLavender Saint G is a pearl in the sea, a diamond among rocks, a beautiful little chouchou among bad demons, who are hot but creepy- ahem, anyways, his route is my favorite in the game atm (still making my way through Lupin's route). Saint's route rlly sticks out from the rest (it felt almost like a different game), can't tell much about him, cause practically everything is a spoiler, buuuut I have a feeling that you will like him too, if you ever pick up the game 😉 To not overhype, it's not like it's the best route I've ever played, but certainly the best in this game for me, and I will remember him for a long time lol But yeah the rest of the game has been mostly a meh for me so far, not because it's bad, it just has a lot of tropes I'm not too fond of, and some plot holes really made me enjoy it less (with that being said I'm in a minority, most ppl love it, and I can see why). Kind of a shame because I love the setting 😍 I feel like I would be much less harsh if not for the fact that my expectations were way too high because of the hype. So it's not game's fault, but mine for getting too hyped up about it 😆

@@LinLinLavender It hasn't really happened to me with games, but definitely with movies. This happened to me with Inception. My friends hyped it up so much and even forced me to go to the theatres with them, and I thought the movie was just ok. I might have enjoyed it more if they hadn't hyped it up so much.

If it was translated into English, I'm wondering if the title collection scene, "If the sword that protects me is you(ken ga kimi nara)," is transmitted in English. Many of my favorite otome games are not translated into English, such as "Sangoku Rensenki," “Ayakashi Gohan,” "Zettai Kaikyuu Gakuen," "Juuzaengi," “Harukanaru Toki no Nakade 3,” and "Shinobi, Koi Utsutsu."
