    Great advice, thank you for sharing. Could I ask, did you lav your talent as well as boom them? Just thinking if things are fast paced there may not be time for backup sound.

      Hey Caim, I didn't and that was a mistake. Let me be clear about this: a sound guy is crucial for low budget productions. You don't really want your low budget movie to feel ultra low budget and the quality of sound is one of the biggest giveaways. So I'd say no matter what get a solid sound guy.
