That was fun, wasn't it? I had to ask one of the yard guys to help me with mine. I gave him 20 bucks. It was worth it because it was a pain getting that down and fold it up.
Sky rigger should have no issues with your sails Like you sail if they can repair a life saving parachute a sail should be a walk in the park Matter of fact I'm going to see if I can find a skydiving rigger to work on mine
you are absolutly correct if you tell me where you are located i can find you a rigger in no time. If you are in the NE the sky season is basicaly over and other then repacks most riggers will be looking for some work over the winter
The part you removed is a guide to feed the luff bolt rope into the foil. There is no need to remove that for normal use. Racers will often remove that and drop the swivel to the drum. Then use a non furling sail(s) for racing.
Was curious about this thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent, guys. I'm at a new yard this year and they're requiring me to take it down too. Much less complicated than I'd imagined.
Let me know if you have any questions
And feel free to dm me on Instagram or FB
