That's an awesome video. I'm the owner of GameCraft Miniatures, I appreciate you giving my fence and try and I really appreciate you doing this video. I will modify the design so that cutout you made at the top of the fence is part of future fences.
Thanks! This fence gets used all the time and it's held up beautifully. That little notch up at the top will be helpful for future buyers of your fence, thanks for responding to this suggestion.
Back again for this next section. Both the videos are very informative, showing the assembly of the Proxxon was perfect. Thank you, and nicer music lol.
@@tomatoes3 Thanks for letting me know, appreciate that. I'll still likely add a bit of music at the beginning and end of the videos but will take your input here, again thanks for this! John
great video and thanks for the heads up for the company. I went right away and ordered a circle jig and a brush and paint stand but unfortunately they were out of stock of the guide rail.
I had talked to them about this jig... wasn't even aware they had made it, just ordered mine! They were out of stock on the guide rail? That's strange as I would have thought it would all come complete.
@@3Dprint4you Not sure what I'll get then as I ordered through their website, we'll see soon enough. I remember talking with him back in September about this tool and I'm just glad it's now available.
@@HallenaQuinzel See, now I'm going to have an inflated ego... LOL! The Proxxon has been incredibly useful and this 3rd party fence just makes it more so. Once you get it assembled and get the hang of it, it's such a nice tool to have around. I keep a supply of the pink foam from Home Depot on hand all the time and just creating exact sized foam pieces has been handier then I'd have thought. Just take your time when assembling and do lots of tests cuts initially and I think you'll love this tool as well. This MDF fence company also makes a jig for cutting round shapes. I bought that one too but I have not yet even opened the package. I have to get to this one soon... maybe I'll shoot another video on this round jig.
This fence has help up nicely over the past year too. No real warping even though it's not in a climate controlled room. This fence was a great purchase!
To all that may be getting one.. I got mine today, make sure you put the guide on correct side. I almost glued it with guide on opposite side, and would have been pain to re do.. Also mine does not hit the arm.. They may have shortened it a bit.
Good tips, thank you! On kits like this, always a great idea to dry-fit as much as you can prior to gluing. If I had a dollar for evertyime I had to take something apart because I put it together backwards or upside down, etc... LOL. Good to hear too if they did shorten it a bit to fit under the arm.
Yeah, I don't get that included Proxxon fence design at all. Maybe I'm being too harsh on it... but I never use the thing. Even had Proxxon done some kind of simple clamp / clip on the far end, that would have been a 100% improvement. I'm just happy the Proxxon itself is such a good tool and that a great fence alternative is readily available at a good price! Enjoy your Proxxon!!!

Thanks for watching these videos, glad you like them! Music for these is always a question for me... should I add it or leave it out :)
@@Raildig I prefer with having hearing loss to watch this type of video with out music . Leaning about the item is the important part .

You are very welcome, glad you liked this! This fence is still holding up beautifully after 3 years now.
@Raildig That's so good to know! I just ordered my Proxxon, and I'm trying to learn all I can. You're the best.

It’s a good thing to check for square, however, that’s kind of what the gussets are for…. just a thought
I find there's always a bit of wiggle in something like MDF, even well cut. I like double checking with a know accurate square as well to make sure.
