    Fantastic idea mate. Really neat concept that I think is going to be a really great way for any skill level of hobbies to make some custom terrain for the hobby. I really can’t wait to get in and make some terrain when mine finally arrives in the post later on. Keen to see what you come up with bext

      @@microforgeminis jigs went together easy as! Great instructions 🤩 First pieces underway. What I’m thinking about first is a set of standalone doors and doorways. My husband currently uses a set of old Hero Quest cardboard doors and they love falling over.
      I’m planning on doors and doorways with an inch or so of brickwork around each edge, with a zig zag type style of one brick in / one brick (not sure if that makes sense).
      Basically enough foam to encourage stability and some perception of wall..

    I'm a bit late to the party but plan on glueing the jigs soon and making something before the new year.

    The example of the three window arches: these are on the ground. How would you place a window in the middle of the stone work? Just glue the bottom part back in?

    • @microforgeminis
      @microforgeminis  Год назад +1

      Yes I will cover that in the next video but essentially you slice out the entire length of wall beneath, slice and slot the window in and then glue the bottom section of the wall back in.

    I do have a question. I am getting just stl files, so when I print these on resin printer, how well do they hold up? I would imagine maybe a FDM printed jig would prob be stronger.

    • @microforgeminis
      @microforgeminis  Год назад +2

      You can print them on a resin printer but they are more suited to FDM printers. Also we will be including the laser cutting files as part of the digital pledge level (this was added after the launch) if you have a maker space nearby or a friendly laser cutting company, they will be able to cut them for you

      @@microforgeminis a follow up to that question: would it be possible to provide a printable (oldschool on paper) version with the good proportions of these jigs for the buyers of the stl package? As I do not have the possibility for a laser cut and would just like to produce the jigs by myself using a paper template. Or maybe just a file with the dimensions of the jigs to reproduce them.

    • @microforgeminis
      @microforgeminis  Год назад +2

      @@duder6665 yes of course! I might do an official post on the Kickstarter page outlining all the ways the jigs can be made. The laser cutting files are sized for A4 to help with shipping. So they will easily print out on paper at A4 too!

    • @microforgeminis
      @microforgeminis  Год назад +1

      yeah there comes a point where having a jig for everything can actually slow you down. Plus I like to make my vertical lines all change in size a bit otherwise it starts to feel more like a brick wall rather than a medieval stone wall.
