So for anyone else wanting to know the end of this story.....it turned out that Mark Winger had been having an affair with Donnahs best friend Shultz. He tried to get her in on a murder plot but she refused. He told Shultz that he found the perfect patsy to pin the murder on when Donnah had that weird driver Roger. He stated all he had to do was get Roger in his house. After the murder Shultz had asked Mark how he could live with himself....he stated he found Jesus & was forgiven. Shultz finally told all this to the police. They reopened the investigation, found photos of the crime scene that made Marks story impossible. Also, Roger had a knife & tire iron in the car he could have brought into the house if he planned murder.....why use marks hammer that happened to be on the table? Why bring in his coffee mug & cigarettes to do a murder? Rogers roommate confirmed he was called by mark & was going on an interview. Mark was charged & convicted. Donnahs family reunited as grandparents to Bailey. New wife Rebecca who never worked a day in her life but was a stay at home mom....was left destitute. She changed her name & moved, declared bankruptcy. Oh & the guy who found Jesus? Tried to have Shultz & a childhood friend of his who wouldn't help bail him out killed from inside prison. So in addition to life sentence for killing Donnah & Roger, He was also convicted of 2 counts of attempted murder by hire adding 35 years to his life sentence. Rogers family was relieved to have his name cleared.

So her friend knew what he did and still married him and had kids with him. If he told her this before he did it , her friend is murdered in a savage way and instead of running or telling the cops she stays wtf.

Even though his partner Charles Cox (and the rest of the department) didn't want to believe it, Doug Williamson wouldn't let it go. But as soon as Winger kept making unnecessary visits at the police station, Cox was back on Doug's side

Just because Baily’s time with her mother was cut so short and Rebecca moved in quick to replace Donnah, doesn’t mean she wasn’t Baily’s mother. That family was robbed of not only a daughter/ sister, but a granddaughter/niece.

This was hair raising! I'm glad Bailey is loved by so many and going strong and so is Rebecca.
Each of these people have showed so much courage coming forth and sharing this story. Rebecca is an extraordinary woman to have been Bailey's mum through so much trauma, and raising 3 others. I hope the families have made peace with each other
What's weird about him not wanting Baily to call Donna's mom grandma is kind of an awkward request to tell the grandma because Baily is the one who will want to call her grandma, grandma

The family shocked by him moving on, marrying the nanny and having another baby is misplaced. He has every right to move on. He needed to move on.
But his actions were more of an insult to them. He was just looking for a way to distance himself from Donnah’s family because once he had a new woman (who was capable of getting pregnant) he decided that he no longer needed them and wanted every memory of Donnah, erased.
Most people who loose their spouse don’t move on that easily.

The cops messed up so much. The note in the car, the smokes and coffee on the desk, plus the driver (Roger) took a call from Mark, and Roger's roommate was there. Roger told the roommate that Mark wanted him over at his house to discuss. The roommate tells the cops this. There was no forced entry. Plus the neighbors heard shots 5 mins apart (and that moaning from Roger which was awful). Mark shot him 2X. He actually hung up on 911 and then called back, and shot him the second time before he made the 2nd call.
I think that most cops are decent, but I hate that they will dismiss witnesses if what they say doesn't fit with their narrative. That happens a lot. Plus, when they start realizing it, it embarrasses then so they would rather see an innocent keep taking the blame. At least the cops here admit they messed up, though not to the degree that they should. Look at the Pam Hupp case. That crazy DA still says the husband did it, even after it was proven over and over that he didn't.
But not Doug Williamson (Charles Cox’s partner), he had every reason to be suspicious of Mark from the beginning. He kept telling his superiors that there were too many red flags and he was put off by them (including his partner). However Mark’s unnecessary visits at the police station, was what got Cox back on his partner’s side.
